Township24, Calgary Ratings and Reviews
Overall was very good, service excellent, seemed to be much confusion over what you actually had to offer on dessert menu, server kept coming back saying don’t have it then do have it, ultimately settled on Chocolate marquise, was very awesome, our server Samarra was very attentive
My friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, the chicken was a little bit burnt. We spoke to the server about it and she offered another order, but my friend declined. The restaurant took it off the bill. I had the wild boar and mushroom pizza. It was very good. (Maybe a few too many mushrooms.)
Went to Township24 for lunch for the first time. The 3 of us ordered different items, and they were all delicious. Service was good for being very busy during the lunch hour. Never felt like our waitress was far away if we needed anything. Was quite noisy as the restaurant looked pretty full, but emptied out quickly after 1:00 p.m. Definitely make a reservation if you are going at noon.
I always enjoy Township24 and I recommended it to my friend who joined me and when I saw who our waiter was told her that I like this guy he's great. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way this time around. We waited for 45 min and still did not have our food and it was a different server who overheard us complaining about how long it was taking who followed up for us and got the ball rolling. It is very very rarely that I would not give a min 18% tip but when we saw that not even 1 dish was comped I felt I could not give even my minimum. I'm sure it was just an off day but at the very least an admittance that our order had been forgotten or 1 dish comped would have been recognized.
We had four steaks and three of them undercooked and served cold along with cold potatoes, when mentioned nothing offered or done about it (my steak was almost blue rare for medium rare) the waitress did not come back to check on our meals so we had to eat what we could.
I received a gift card to township, so I decided to go with my boyfriend and another couple. The hostess was lovely, she asked us what area we wanted to sit in and gave us the options to look at. Our server on the other hand, Matt I believe his name was, was terrible! He got to the table and just stood their, expecting us to know what he wanted. He rudely asked for drinks and after he brought us the waters we order he left and didn't come back for 20 minutes! When he returned, he told us at that moment that almost half the menu was not available! So we had to decide on the spot what to order instead.
He hardly filled up our waters through the night and never came to check how our food was. We ordered dessert and the other couples dessert, the apple something, was terrible, they got freezer burnt raspberry sorbet instead of vanilla ice cream, and no pistachios. They didn't even ask if it was okay that they didn't have vanilla. There tart was burnt and dry and had no flavor.
After we paid, the server just through our receipt at us and left, no goodbye or have a nice day.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and I would suggest the establishment look at who they hire, because our service was horrible!
We used open table to find a restaurant close to our hotel when visiting Calgary. We went based on location and the menu. Our food was excellent. The drinks were really good too. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend to people looking for quality food and casual sophistication.
The service was extremely slow. For a lunch hour and with the place being half empty, expected a much faster service. We waited more than 50 minutes from time of order for our food and it was still not being cooked as per server's response to our follow ups. This left no time for one of my colleagues to eat so they had to leave hungry. This was suppose to be a business celebration lunch but was negatively impacted by the restaurant experience.
Went for lunch with friends as this is a very convenient spot in downtown core. Service was outstanding, friendly and very fast. Food was excellent and there seems to be decent choices, with some more comfort and some healthier food. Had a ahi tuna burger which was cooked perfectly however had a little too much dressing.
Unfortunately, I am done visiting Township. The food is really low in presentation, quality and detail. Twice I have ordered the House salad and added a protein. This last visit I added chicken (FOR 8 DOLLARS) which was grilled and slammed on top of my salad. For 8 dollars it cannot be sliced? Considering a mediocre House salad is $13.00. It is overpriced, boring, lazy service/quality. They need to revamp the menu. There are much better restaurants in downtown.
