Restaurant is starting to go downhill. The restaurant is huge so if it's not super busy, it kind of kills the vibe. In this case there were three rather large groups (maybe large groups and parties is their target market now?), but still huge pockets of the restaurant that was empty, which is not a great sign for a Saturday night. The large groups also dominated the wait staffs attention, which meant our little table of two didn't really get great service. The staff was very friendly though, and you could see they were working incredibly hard. Food wise, the calamari was way too greasy and soft, and I'm really curious how they cook steak because it was well-done except for a square in the middle which was raw (there was no gradient from cooked to medium to rare like you would normally get in a medium-rare steak) - it tasted very good though. Overall, it was fine, but probably wouldn't be my choice for an impromptu dinner with the girlfriend on a Saturday night in the future.

Very standard. Nothing out of the ordinary. Had issues with the pre dinner drink and the cold, stale and tasteless bread they served to go along with the meal.

I've been to restaurants that have tastier food and are generally less expensive. The restaurant was very loud. Not a very cozy place. I wouldn't really go back.
Food was very good. Service was not rushed and our waiter Michel could have worked at any of the best restaurants in town. He was a real pro and made the evening very enjoyable.

Got fooled by the waiter into ordering an off-menu item that cost a fortune. Our party of 7 was 'recommended' to order a seafood platter as an entrée, which according to him was enough for 5 people. This being a business meal nobody asked for the price, seeing the average entrée cost about $ 10.00. So one of my colleagues ordered it. When the bill came we were charged $ 150 for the platter....! Absolutely disgraceful.
Furthermore, when I ordered my $ 28.00 steak and asked him if he recommended medium or medium-well, he recommended medium, but told me that I would probably better enjoy another type of steak as it was more tender. At least I had the good sense to ask him the price of that steak and when he told me $ 54.00 I decided to stick to my original choice. Recommending another choice is fine, but not mentioning that such a choice would cost twice as much is, in my opinion, unethical.
I do not appreciate such practices and will no longer support it. I will not go back to Towne Hall, even if this was a business event that I was able to expense.
I eat here often and I always love it! However, I was disappointed that there were no oysters last time I was there ☹️. But overall service and food is great!

Unfortunately, we could not even talk to each other. The noise level was just unbearable. For close to 200$, I was hoping for a little evening but instead, it was just a noisy atmosphere in which we ended up leaving without desert as I could no longer support the noise level.
WE were celebrating my husbands birthday and we all enjoyed our meals very much. The staff and owner George are very welcoming. Great evening out with the family. We shall return for sure.

The service was extremely slow, food was not appetizing, calamari were very unappetizing, the eggplant ditch was too cold ....they really need to relook at there menu or chef ??? Not a very good experience...
After 10 years of eating there noticed great decline in menu and huge increase in price. The last time I'm attending & giving them my money. They try to squeeze your every penny. So stingy!!!!! The glass of wine Chablis is barely 5oz and cost $12. Shame on them! It was such a great place and in West Island.
Excellent food. Ingredients were fresh and the tartare very tasty. Wine pricy noise didn't allow for much conversation.
Food and service were excellent! I had the duck breast with Porto sauce which was yummie and my friend the striploin with mashed potatoes and carmelised onions that he said was excellent!
My friend and I both had the philly cheese steak sandwich which was on the lunch special. It was not very good. The sandwich was soggy and the beef tough even though they say on the menu it was spencer steak. You could not eat the sandwich like a sandwich as it was dripping all over the place. When using a knife and fork I am not sure a steak knife would have done the trick. Overall the dinning experience was very dissappointing and a bit embarrassing for me as Town Hall was my suggestion for lunch.
Dinner was great! Sat on the terrace so we couldn't tell how busy it was. But we loved it.

Wonderful dinner with yummy food! The duck and the short ribs were outstanding . The fish and the burger were also wonderful. We were all very happy with our dinners!

Had lunch at Towne Hall on Mother's Day recently, and found the food excellent, and the service top notch. While not a family restaurant per se, the staff were very accommodating for my small family, including an 18 month old toddler. In particular, Hind, Philippe, and Basheer were very helpful in making us comfortable, helping where possible with our child, and allowing us to take our time during our meal during a busy day. Will definitely recommend to others and will come back again.
Food was great but service very slow down to the presence of a few groups. Waiter did not manage our order to avoid delays. Tables around us where served faster even though they arrived after us.
