"Local first, organic whenever possible, and with Aloha always" is the mantra upon which this unpretentious neighborhood bistro was founded. With a menu that changes daily to reflect the freshest market ingredients, Town features hand-cut pastas and gnocchi, slow-braised meats, fresh local seafood, a wine list of small artisan producers, and hand-crafted cocktails. Drawing inspiration from classic recipes of the Mediterranean, Town's cuisine is best described as Contemporary American with an Italian sensibility, where the ingredients are allowed to shine and nothing is wasted.
With bar and "dog-friendly" patio seating reserved for walk-in guests, the restaurant has become a favorite for casual impromptu dining as well as for special occasions. Town is located in hip Kaimuki, just minutes from Waikiki, and is loved by locals and visitors alike. Go to Town.

Town Ratings and Reviews
I've been eating at TOWN since it opened for business. Since then, the flavors and creativity of the food has gone down. I love pasta. I always order the hand cut pasta. The pasta with the pork and porcini argue has gone down considerably. It's ground pork, very ordinary. Pork belly is the buzz ingredient right now.... possibly they should consider incorporating pork belly into this dish. And at $18.00, the value is poor.
My barometer is "when I can cook better, then it's not worth eating there."
The food was excellent, very farm-to-table menu, however, the service was inattentive at best, the food took a long time to arrive, and the air conditioner was blasting straight down on us from a unit on the ceiling by the hostess stand -- avoid tables right near there if you can. Outside/patio seating may be a better bet.
My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The food was fantastic, and the service was great. We each had a main course, appetizers, and dessert. We both thought it was a bit loud, but it is right om the street and very open to the outside. Would not prevent us from going back.
Outstanding! Greens we so fresh they tasted like they were just picked. Food was well seasoned. Not too salty which was great. Mahi was cooked perfectly and the porchetta was unreal. Skin was super crispy. So ono. Love chef Kenney’s approach to food. Can’t wait to come back.
Our hosts recommended the restaurant. It is a bit off the beaten path so even better. Very interesting goat cheese pancakes, delicious port loin and absolutely evil dark chocolate pretzel cake. Nice wine list. Service by Mia excellent. We definitely go again. Save time to find a parking place. We parked on the street a block away so fine, but took a few minutes extra to find a place.
Heard about this reastaurant from a man on the plane flight to Honolulu and so grateful!!
Interesting that three separate concierge were not familiar with this place. More of a local feel and loved the experience. Focus on local farm to table and sustainability.
OUTSTANDING! The food is simply amazing, the wine pairings were perfect, and the staff members were attentive, knowledgable and FUN! I went for lunch and then again for dinner selecting the Taste of Town last night. SO GREAT! Can't wait to go back on my next trip to Honolulu!
Tasting menu with wine pairing every time. Always blows my mind.. and mouth! I wasn't hungry when I went in, but still gladly devoured and enjoyed every bite and sip. If the experience of the bitter earthiness of radish being perfectly balanced by the citrusy tang of roasted orange sounds appealing to you, TASTING MENU!!
Place felt sterile, Food was too non conforming - portions small - required a specific taste and not very tasteful - almost all got different dishes and result was pretty much same for all. No on tap beer. However, staff were very helpful and available. We only had 6 but still had difficult time talking across table and we were in a corner.
The service was simply awful. Half an hour to get our non-alcoholic drinks. The restaurant was hardly full. When drinks arrived: "we had to wait for the foam for the cappuccino." Really? When food came 45 minutes later: "we had to wait for the chicken to broil." Really??
And the menu has been edited down so favorites have disappeared. Clearly Mr. Kenney now has other priorities. I won't be back - although I've been there a dozen times before.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a great date night. We were beyond pleased with the friendly staff and the menu. I love this place because they take pride in their Farm-to-Table options and will use seasonal fruits and vegetables in their dishes. They support the local community as well by buying the fruits and vegetables from your backyard! I had the Roast Chicken and this was by far the best tasting roast chicken I ever had. I will continue to come back to support this local, community gem.
Great food. A gem away from the main Waikiki Beach drag. If you are from out of town just Uber or Taxi your way to this restaurant. The service staff was very attentive and had a smile on their face. The salad was fresh and crisp. I like the touch of chives and radishes. The ahi appetizer was well arranged and tastes even better. The mahi mahi dinner , chicken, and the oh so tasty and fresh pasta noodles with beef were really tasty. We will be back!
My elderly out-of-town guest arrived by plane this afternoon. I was somewhat concerned about the more modern food on the menu because she often isn’t that interested in it, but she like this place because they were a lot of fresh vegetables served, and everything was nicely done. She also would like to serve her a lot.
Waitress engaged in conversation with friends who walked in while she was taking down my wife's food order.
The food took a long time.
The steak is a rip off. Bad piece of meat with toppings to hide it. Served with a mound of soggy fries and a huge pile of greens. At $33 you could get a much better steak elsewhere.
We ordered the pana cotta and the cake. Both were bad. The cake looked like my 8 yr niece made it. With a splatter of marmalade on top. The pana Cotta was yogurt with star fruit and honey...
One positive, they split the soup so my wife and I could share.
Would never go back tho.
l'm a tourist from Japan, and I'm so happy to know this place. Local, tasty, and very beautiful food with very nice service.
Go local and organic movement is getting really popular in Japan too, but it's far from everyday to special occasions like Town.
I'd like to try every menu here!
Second trip to Town. Wife and I were in Hawaii for 20th wedding anniversary. Town was my pick for a celebratory venue and they delivered handsomely. Leek soup was perfect as was the green salad. We had the fresh Mahi and the pasta. Both entrees were spectacular and we topped it off with a devilishly rich chocolate pretzel dessert.
