Town
With bar and "dog-friendly" patio seating reserved for walk-in guests, the restaurant has become a favorite for casual impromptu dining as well as for special occasions. Town is located in hip Kaimuki, just minutes from Waikiki, and is loved by locals and visitors alike. Go to Town.
Great food and atmosphere. Makes the sustainable idea taste great in a casual elegant setting
Great place for dinner or drinks. Staff is always on point and food is tasty.
Still love TOWN after all these years! Order the ahi tartare, the roast chicken, and the best gnocchi on the island. Service is loving but with an inconsistent tempo. Still feels good tho!
1:45 for a single course birthday dinner. No appetizers. No dessert. Nearly two hours. No one checked in on us. No one explained the delay. And no one apologized. We won’t repeat this mistake.
Food was very tasty and very well presented. The service was well timed and she had the entire restaurant to serve. The value was exceptional for Hawaii.
Excellent food. Interesting choices and each delicious. Server and staff on top of everything, pleasant and explained the types of dishes very well.
Amazing as always
My friends and i enjoyed the ambiance of this quaint restaurant. Our servers were friendly and informative. I had a dish with beef cheek and beans that was fabulous, and we enjoyed the chocolate tart for desert.
Service was slow, the restaurant was warm and the food (goat cheese pancakes, pork belly and roast chicken) was overcooked.
We ordered tasting menu , ragout pasta and bruschetta.
Everything was tasty!
Staffs were nice and friendly.
As always, great food & even better service.
Inside was little loud so we decided to sit outside this time.
My husband and I were excited to bring our friends to this restaurant as we had an fantastic first experience...but that was years ago. Times have changed. The opah was D.R.Y. and I that has never happened at other restaurants. Sadly $300 later we left to go to Encore in order to salvage the night.
This restaurant is very San Francisco in a really good way. They serve dishes that feature fermented food that’s done on site. I loved the little green tomatoes that they picked up from a local grower. I was very impressed with all the flavors. As someone that is into fermenting, I can really appreciate the food here. The staff was very knowledgeable on all the dishes and my waitress seemed to love the food here too. Everything on the tasting menu was a grand slam for my pallet, starting with the fresh baked focaccia bread, fermented green cherry or baby tomatoes, green goddess dressing that I would call a gift from the gods, a charcuterie with savory pork and picked to perfection veggies and scrumptious stone ground mustard, pasta that could rival Might possibility better then Flour + Water in San Francisco, the flavors in the fish with the smoked cabbage cannot be describe with worlds, the pork loin was out of this world tender with polenta that is worth a trip along with delicious porcini mushrooms accompanied with escarole that was superbly sautéd, and topping the meal off with a decadent chocolate tart with some tasty olive oil and sea salt. I even liked the art work and last night I ate dinner at restaurant that had Picassos hanging on the wall. This restaurant is something special and definitely worth a visit.
I was disappointing with my meal at Town. I go here because the food and service has consistently been superb. However, this time many of the dishes were small, lacking flavor or too salty.
Excellent food and warm service. Never disappoints. Quality.
I love this place! The people are friendly, they really try to get to know you and remember your favorites. I especially love the farm-to-table choices and freshness of their ingredients. They are dog-friendly and there is a real feeling of community.
Wonderful evening. Amazing food - try the hand cut pasta if it’s on the menu. Great service and ambiance. Very welcoming.
This is one of my favorite places when i'm in Honolulu. I food is farm to table and always creative and delicious. The gnocchi is lighter than air. Service is friendly and excellent.
First time there. All fresh ingredients. Excellent service. Highly recommend
Great service and great value. The ambiance was quaint and food delicious.
Great service, great food, great wine
Excellent food. Order multiple dishes - good for sharing and allowing everyone to sample their diverse menu
Town is something different with a Italian/Hawaiian background, food is tasty, we did not try the desserts. Not cheap, therefore price/quality moderate to good.
The service and food were exceptional. The staff is friendly and so gracious. The food was excellent; so tasty and perfectly prepared. Nice wine list heavy on French and Italian labels. We will definitely return!
After overcoming the parking issue - took us almost 30 minutes to locate a parking spot - we we warmly welcomed by the hostess Paige. She made the parking struggle worth it. Overall the food and drinks were great. Cocktail selection was good and we shared the goat cheese pancakes and mixed green salad to start. For main course I chose the chicken which was amazing. The greens and grapes with the chicken were delicious. Husband chose the hand cut pasta which was OK- the chicken was much better. For desert we each had gelato which was creamy and delicious. A great venue away from the touristy Waikiki area. Highly recommend.
Eating here makes me realize we should cook at home more often
If you’re looking for an expensive, hipster-y place that sources its food locally, this is the place! The taste is just satisfactory, but there’s a lot of satisfaction in supporting local producers.
Town never disapoints! The food is always local and delishous!
Food is always awesome! Really wish they would get rid of those same cheap napkins that shed all over your clothes. They use the same ones at Mud Hen Water.
And it depends actually. We’ve always had a pretty good experience here but this past visit, the service to get our first drink was SO slow. And water refills. The servers were AMAZING but the service itself was slow. And for the first time ever, we had to request bread and olives? We will go back but with cation to pick a time when perhaps they have more servers on hand so we get better service.
We entered the restaurant and noticed only two other tables were seated at 6:20. A staff meeting (?) was occurring at the bar. We were sat at a small four top by the window. “Prime Real Estate” per the hostess. Our request for a larger table with “booth” seating on one side was declined. Had to be saved for 5 or more. We were a party of three. It took 5 plus minutes before we met our server or anyone for that matter. We hadn’t even received water. I must say our server was very nice and apologized for the delay. Our entire order including drinks was taken at once. While waiting for our drinks a party walked in and overly loudly greeted one of the seated parties. The extra loud drunk woman laughing began. I felt like I had to shout to be heard at my table. Eventually, they toned it down. The appetizers came out one by one after bread. Fortunate as the table was to small to hold more than one at a time. Each plate arrived awkwardly as they removed the older plate simultaneously. During this time my husband and I noticed that the air conditioner was blowing water droplets on us as we sat. We had a shifting of seats and tried to continue with our dinner. The appetizers sounded fabulous but were lackluster. Maybe it was everything going on, the wait, the obnoxious laughing, the shifting of seats and tableware to accommodate our appetizer and the water being blow on us. Finally the entrees came and viola! Wow! The gnocchi and pasta were amazing. The gnocchi was light and savory. Best I have ever had! The pasta was rich but not heavy. Can’t say enough about how surprised and pleased I was. I don’t know if my requested table ever filled while I was there. I know the restaurant did not fill. I know restaurants fill by section but being so small and empty, privacy was have been appreciated. I will go back, skip the appetizers and go straight to the entree.
Family outing
The ahi tartar was delicious.
A hidden gem in Kaimuki. We enjoyed the food, service, staff, & atmosphere. We’ll be going there again soon.
My husband and I visited Town for our anniversary. Everyone from the hostess to all the servers that stopped by our table were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were very well informed about the menu and could answer any questions we had. The food was wonderful!! I would highly recommend to anyone in search of a great date-spot.
野菜が本当に美味しかった。

Wonderful Aloha welcome from hostess and wait staff. Every dish is special. The Charcuterie starter is amazing. The pasta ragu was maybe the best pasta I have had in a very long time. Timing is excellent, not rushed. This is a favorite.
