Town Hall - DC
Town Hall is located ¾ mile from the heart of Georgetown but is worlds away. Avoid the congestion and bustle of Georgetown and take advantage of our relaxed atmosphere in our friendly, inviting neighborhood.

Overall, just a ‘good’ visit. It’s not that anything was bad, but for the price, I expected more than average. For 7:30pm, the place was dead. Combine that with inattentive service, and it just wasn’t a place you’d want to hang out and have another round. Again, perhaps another night may have been different, but for the money, I’m not sure I’d want to chance it again. It was disappointing, but based on other reviews, maybe I visited on a bad night? YMMV
One of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. The chicken and dumplings are not to be missed and the entire staff are so friendly and warm and kind. They make you want to go back
This is the second time we come here and we’ve sat outside for brunch both times. We love the food and their bottomless mimosa is worth it if your plan is to forget the rest of the night. Our waitress was awesome as were the rest of the staff.
Food came out fast, and looked awesome. The complimentary chips and dip had a nice taste. Jerk chicken was full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The salmon could have been cooked a minute or two more, or a "blackened" option available. The shrimp and grits my date had, she enjoyed. The only 2 downsides are that I had to ask twice for clean silverware, and I don't know what they had going on upstairs, but it sounded like they were going to slam something through the ceiling at any moment. Oh...and how can I forget the best part! Well...its because I dont remember the name of their signature drink...but it was excellent!
The hostess was rude when we added 1 more person to a reservation even though the entire place was empty other than 3 tables. Then took a long time for our waiter to come see us and get the food.
Our waitress Morgan was Amazing!!! So attentive and on ! She was friendly And helpful! I brought two persons w special needs and she really made the experience relaxed them and myself ! Appreciated . Now , the food ..... the apples fritters were tasty, nice crunch factor etc and while I may have ordered the wrong menu item the Caesar salad with salmon was just boring the salmon wasn’t that good I think it was overcookes and the Caesar salad was just nothing special. I would not visit again and I would not suggest others visit I’m sorry
What happened to Nicky's ? The big TV' -- the constant crowd of bookies?
Good food..good service..nice atmosphere & reasonable prices = great experience..
Food was fine. We eat gluten-free and there were a number of entrees and sides to choose from. Our waiter was not very attentive and seemed a bit dazed and confused. Not the best service.
It was underwhelming the food was not the best quality and pretty overpriced for what we got. Also the brunch menu needs more lunch options it was pretty limited. Service was good but food was very much lacking.
Brunch/lunch with two kids... Server very accommodating. Nice kid menu. Three adults enjoyed the food choices. The ex-large booth offered a private space and controlled noise. Would return.
Went here to have dinner & watch college Football. Called ahead to make sure they were playing our game, and they hooked us up with our own TV. Good friendly service. Good food!
Server was so nice. Great food and service
Great food with much gluten free or altered to make it so. Will definitely be back!
Excellent service start to finish. Staff was professional, courteous and attentive. Patio was perfect for brunch and watchiny the World Cup. Great coffee and amazing chicken and waffles.
Great service, nice atmosphere, good food and drinks! Wonderful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Town Hall!! Our flight into DC was delayed but the hostess was so nice to work with us to change our reservation. Our waiter, Carlos, was great! Very friendly & attentive! The food was awesome! The Town Hall burger was delicious and the Brick Chicken was awesome! And, yummy bread pudding for dessert! When we get back to Georgetown/DC, we’ll definitely return to Town Hall!
I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a nice place to have a meal. The food was absolutely amazing, and so was the service. It wasn’t too busy the day we arrived so our food came out super quick. The chicken wings were nice and juicy, and so were the burgers. The price was great when you think about the quality of the food.
My roommates and I frequent town hall often decided to check out the new bottomless brunch option. The veggie benedict (add avo) was pretty good and the service was great! Always recommend the falafel also.
Chicken tenders with mango ranch are a must order.
Super nice staff, excellent service, great food and a lovely ambiance. Definitely recommended!
Came here for Brunch one fine Saturday afternoon at 1200, the lady at the front desk was very polite and seated us right away. Almost immediately after sitting down our waiter (can’t remember his nams unfortunately) was over with water. We caught him at the end of his shift so he brought over his replacement, Madi(sp), and she was outstanding as well. She was legitimately the best waitress I’ve had since I moved to the DMV approx. 6 months ago. The food was excellent as well
Staff is always wonderful - warm and friendly; food is delicious. A nice atmosphere - a great local place for the whole family.
Great place to eat! The steak was supurb. Appetizers were oh so good! If your in DC, make The Town Hall a stop, you won't be disappointed!
The restaurant didn't have a descent amount of food to choose from for lunch. It was thirty min before dinner and I asked if we could order from the dinner menu because it was my husbands birthday but the answer was no. We asked again and the answer was no. We would have left but my husband wanted to give the lunch a try. We ordered and the food came out hot and food was tasty. I just wished we could have ordered from the dinner menu because my husband had his heart set on having a dish from the dinner menu and like I said it was his birthday. We traveled two hours to try out this restaurant but no one seemed to care. The waitress just stressed that they are a stickler to what time meals are offered.
steak was most definitely expired and had a horrible smell. our server kept rolling her eyes when we asked her a question about the menu. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone nor would I go back. too many negatives: services, food and wait time.
Fantastic food, service was great and overall great experience!
We were overwhelmed by the noise. That problem spoiled our enjoyment of the good food.
It's extremely loud inside, and the place wasn't even at full capacity. I wouldn't want to be there if it was full!!
We didn't enjoy the food as much as we had hoped but the patio is gorgeous. Nice fans and a lot of shade!
I appreciated that townhall was able to accommodate my friends 2 young kids. Food solid as always, and the service was patient (the kids were not enjoying the heat). Thanks townhall!!!
Great service, cold beer and good food, what more can you ask for. The outside dining was really nice.
We had a wonderful time with exceptional service by the entire staff at Town Hall. We will definitely be coming back again soon!
Food dry and very unexceptional. Service polite but had to ask that dirty plates be removed.
Stopped there for a quick bite. Burgers were delicious! Service was great and definitely a hot spot on a Saturday night. Would recommend....
Great brunch, very nice patio.
Town Hall is our go-to brunch place when we have out of town guests and want to show off DC's neighborhood-y vibe. Good food, great people-watching, attentive service - really can't ask for more.
Food was great. Was happy with the outdoor courtyard
Our server was fantastic. He really made us feel as if we were eating in one of the most upscale places in D.C. As a tourist, it makes me want to recommend this restaurant to all my friends who travel there, and to return to the city for more great dining. I had the shrimp risotto and it was absolutely phenomenal.
Nice casual dining experience. We spotted the place on a whim and found the food tasty. I had the falafel burger. Talk about a lot of food! Not like your traditional three small falafel chunks under a bun. This was a solid and THICK patty. I thought it could have used a bit more sauce, but it was good, just the same. Wait staff were attentive and personable. The young ladies at the front desk weren't paying attention to the reservation schedule because when we arrived, her exclamation was, "Ohh!" #foodie #dmv #falafel #gloverpark #dcdining #wilworksdc
