Tower Oaks Lodge Ratings and Reviews
Tower Oaks Lodge is a unique restaurant. Bringing a magnificent Maine log structure to the Maryland suburbs and decorating it in authentic furnishings including stuffed animals and canoes, oars, Indian fair is sometning you don't see everyday. It is one lf our local favorites. However, this time the food wasn't up to Clyde's normal standards.
Loved the fall menu. Went for our anniversary. The service was great and the menu was varied. My only comment was we were in back room with the bar and a large party next to us so it was a bit loud. I did put on the reservation what we were celebrating so I would have thought a quieter room would have been offered. Otherwise it was a wonderful night.
Delightful place for any occasion. My only complaint is that the green beans were more than a little crunchy.closer to absolutely raw.Food, all,of,It
it is always consistent and delicious.I go there several times a year, take out oftowners there, meet friends for lunch or dinner.I always have crab cakes or one of the fish because Iprefer, them to meat.
The food is great albeit not quite what is was when they had Chef Michelle. But that was many years ago.
For this visit I requested seating in a particular room when I placed my reservation and my best guess is that this request was ignored given that we were seated in another room entirely.
The fries were lukewarm, like it had been sitting around a while. The lobster was just barely warm, not sure if that's intended. Lobster pie was good. Not sure why they asked if it was a special occasion, as nothing special was offered or done. Had to wait at least 20 minutes for the bill, even after the manager asked us if we were waiting for it.
Once again a top-flight experience at Tower Oaks. There were four of us, seated in a booth in the Great Room, as requested. The restaurant was very busy, but our server was friendly, patient, and attentive. I ordered the duck confit salad with figs; not only did it taste wonderful, but the presentation (on a slate plank) was terrific. Tower Oaks is not perfect, but it is way up there in terms of reliability, taste, and atmosphere.
The server apparently forgot to give me half off on some items
I left the money on the tables and left I looked at the bill and I saw something was wrong when I saw the server he was seating down with some Fox since I left he told me I’m sorry I forgot
Not very professional
I went to Tower Oaks for the first time as a birthday celebration. The complimentary valet parking was great on a rainy night. We were promptly seated and had friendly service throughout the night. The cream of crab soup was particularly good. Tower Oaks has a fun atmosphere--and is unique in the area, I think. Good variety of choices on the menu. The room was a bit loud, but we didn't have any problems hearing each other. Would definitely go again.
