A very nice restaurant with a cool vibe, great service and excellent food. The filet is typically my go to there and it is always well prepared at the right temperature that I request.
Love this place!
As soon as you drive in you see the beauty of the restaurant. The inside is just as beautiful. I loved the ambience. It has a cozy feel and the staff is super friendly and the food does not disappoint. I made a reservation at this location to get together with some close friends and they just loved it. We can't wait to come back again.
Delicious food! Great service!
Great service, great atmosphere, great food, great time. Highly recommend!
Clydes was very warm and friendly. There was a large menu selection and the food was good..just can’t say we ate something that knocked our socks off, but the cocktails and service was excellent. We noticed a lot of seniors dining along with parents and families so this is a warm environment but not a location for an intimate date night. We did not have a chance to hang out at the bar but it was packed and it looked like an amazing experience could be had.
We have been to this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed our service, meals and the pretty ambiance. The prices were higher which I understand everything is higher however I don't have to like it right? LOL
We will be back! Thank you.
The front desk does not read the table requests for a table close to the door in the front room. I ask for that as I was dining with someone who has difficulty walking long distances. The two staff at the front are not very friendly on the way in, while taking you to the table or when you leave. I think it makes a bad impression if the front personnel aren't hospitable. Otherwise, it is a solid spot for moderately priced food.
lovely as usual.
Seated as soon as we arrived. Very pleasant and attentive wait staff. Food came quickly and was delicious. Very pleasant experience.
Waitress was excellent…food good…atmosphere noisy due to several tables with small children
We love the feel of this place! The service is great, food delicious. Chris is a wonderful server- very attentive and remembered our kids’ drink orders.
Tower Oaks does not disappoint. The food was excellent and some tables were closed to give more space, given the circumstances. Waiter was slow but maybe a sign of the times (fewer employees ). Had a good time
Good food, friendly server-an all around excellent experience.
Service was fabulous and food was great. Server was very attentive, even worried if the cup of coffee was hot enough.
We had a delicious dinner and our waitress, Jasmine, was super nice and so attentive. She was wonderful.
Very welcoming staff. The food was really good and the service was good as well.
The brunch was great! And sitting by the huge fireplace was really nice.
We came here for New Year’s Day brunch, and it was amazing! Highly recommend the eggs Benedict, and if you like Brussels sprouts, get a side of those to munch on too!
Have been eating lunch and dinner here for years, but just tried brunch for the first time on New Year’s Day and it was excellent. Had the brioche cinnamon bun and apple fritters to start. Both were delicious and there’s enough to share. My husband had the Eggs Chesapeake and I had the Shrimp and Grits. We both felt our dishes were among the best we’d ever had. Flavorful and well composed. Will definitely be returning for brunch.
First our wings came out undercooked. Overall though, the food was just okay. The crab cake was small and dry, the chop was good but the chimichurri sauce was not good. But worst of all was the Mac and cheese. Why would a place like this put hot Cheetos on top of a dry Mac and cheese? Just terrible.
As a rule, Clyde’s is a “go to” place for consistently good (but now overpriced) oysters. The rest of menu typically is good across the board. Don’t usually wander from steaks/crab cakes/burgers because that’s not the reason I’m at Clyde’s. Comfort, service, and good standard fare is why I go. Unfortunately, last night (NYE) we took a chance on the Duck Stroganoff and the Ravioli. Bad idea. I get that the cancelled reservations (that was really a shame) may have pushed you to send home some staff but sending home too many cooks showed up in the really poor quality of our plates. Front side was packed with servers who seemed distracted but we got the usual “very good” Clyde’s service when our waiter was focused. Food failed tonight though. Felt bad for our waiter so I left him a decent tip but honestly, I should have sent both pasta dishes back. You guys can do better. I’ll come back, cause I have for years, but I’m a two strikes guy. Hopefully, you’re back to knocking it out of the park next time. BTW, good oysters at KSOB are $24/doz. Keeping your price at $38/doz can’t last long. Sorry
Good food and ambiance.
We could have used a little more attention from our server.
Nice environment for NYE dinner gathering.
New Year’s Eve
The Lodge was taking Covid precautions by not filling the house to capacity leaving some tables empty.
This was our first visit to the Lodge and it did not disappoint. My wife had the New York Strip steak ($3&) which was grilled to perfection crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The side dish of grilled Brussel sprouts was a delight. My linguine and oysters ($18) was so flavorful and the mini oysters in the shell light and with just a hint of the ocean. We shared the peanut butter bar ($10) for dessert and it was perfect finale to a dining experience although a cake and pie selection was notably absent. Kudos to the Chef and his team.
Our server buoyed by runners was efficient and never intrusive taking the clue from us that we were seeking a leisurely dinner experience and joining the flow we set out.
Tge Lodge is our new go to for special occasions.
Best dining on the East Coast
Always liked the atmosphere inside the restaurant the service and food was great.
Great service and food as always. Recommend the cod - my go-to.
Midafternoon on New Year’s Eve so not busy but a very enjoyable meal. My husband had the Pork Buca Oslo and found it too spicy.
This restaurant normally very good. This last experience must be related to staff. The server was not attentive and there were very few patrons at 5p. From the kitchen, a steak burger ordered medium was delivered with blood still running down the roll and the meat was still red. The kitchen should have caught it, the server could have. The “re-grill” was served brown throughout. Just a bad day? Or a sign of slipping management. We hope for better next time if there is one. The ambiance is very good.
Overpriced menu for food and drinks. Arrived during happy hours, sat in the enclosed bar area (at table) but because we didn’t sit physically ‘at the bar’ HH prices were not granted. Covid has severely discouraged people like myself and many others to not go out and support local restaurants and businesses. 🙁
Very nice. The restaurant has a very unique setting with lots to see. We enjoyed the food and service
Tower Oaks is always reliably good and the atmosphere is great. It works well for a business lunch.
Love this place. ❤️
Christmas gathering with friends.
Could not make a reservation for 12 so I made 2 tables for 6
2 cancelled/. They set a table 10 and all were happy. Thanks
Girls’ luncheon with many laughs
We had excellent time at Clydes The service and food was very good
Definitely will be back
