Their "medium" hamburger was charred and well-done. The waiter agreed. It was replaced by another charred well-done hamburger. In the spirit of enjoying the special celebration we were attending, I simply ate the fries and fully paid for my meal plus tip.

It's my go-to restaurant that I visit about once a month. Menu is varied. Chefs are creative. Everyone in my party is always quite pleased.

Outstanding ambiance for casual or more formal dining. My visitors from Italy were most impressed by the lights and original decor, in the bar. Some miscommunication with the desk staff resulted in a long wait, when I thought we would move from the bar to a table for our dinner, but we ended up eating in a bar booth, and that was fine. The red wine was at room temperature, but the waiter was wonderful and chilled it for us. My only issue with the food was that the chicken casserole with tomatoes and olives was oversalted. Otherwise, an enjoyable evening.

Tower Oaks Lodge is a favorite for dining out. Not only is the ambiance and decor amazing, the food is very good as well. Service is fantastic. I would highly recommend making reservations, or you will likely have a lengthy wait. They have great monthly specials. Bar is open late!

The waiter neglected our table and we had to looked after him when ready to order desserts.
As an alternative of that, we asked for a coup of fruit. The promegranate was fermented. When reported to the waiter he did nothing.
Unfortunately it was a bad evening there but in the past it has been always excellent.

Took our grandson out for a day of fun and a first time experience dining at. Clyde’s. He was impressed with Tower Oaks Lodge decor and we all loved the appetizers!

We ordered the calamari with banana peppers and Thai chili sauce - wonderful combination and crispy, as they should be. We also ordered the bacon wrapped dates covered in habanero sauce. We loved the sweet combined with the hot flavors of this dish. My grandson was very impressed and could have eaten more of both!

Our dinners, however, were not quite as impressive. They were good. They just weren’t great. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, the tuna melt, and the crab cake sandwich. None were impressive nor would we order them again.

Our waiter was extremely friendly and made our experience quite enjoyable so overall we are happy that we took our grandson to Clyde’s and he enjoyed the evening. We would return and would likely order more appetizers or try the full dinners.

Our waitress, Halley, was great. The menu was limited to Saturday brunch, not lunch. It was okay but unexpected. We asked twice for bread from the gentleman who brought out food and they said it was baking but never brought it. Food was not very good. We have had our girls lunch here for years and today was not up to the usual.

Sat in the bar for lunch. Service was good, fried Brussels sprouts were yummy. We asked for bread and our server never brought it. Teriyaki salmon was good.

This is an excellent place to go for small celebrations like birthdays. We've dined here many times, and although the menu changes from time to time, there's plenty of menu options. If you can't choose, the fish entrees will always be a great choice. My dad's favorite is the Italian sausage rigatoni, and I appreciated the server mentioning that it was a spicy pasta dish even though he's had it before. Service here is top notch, and it's always a pleasure to come back.

I requested a table in front of the large fireplace in the great room, but somehow that was missed. We got a table off to the side, but there was no fire, which was disappointing. Sitting next to the large window provided cold, which we did not appreciate. The Ruben sandwich was so-so. Gave half to the dog. The waiter was exceptional! Thank you.

I will say they are consistent….consistently mediocre to awful. Haven't been back in 2-3 years and it's hard to believe it could get worse. Most of the staff is fine, courteous, helpful and the waitress even told us, "No, don't order that" and "Uh-uh…you don't want that it's really dry", etc. We each ordered an omelette at brunch and though we added our own ingredients we each requested spinach inside of the omelette. While we all got spinach inside instead of getting the home fries that come with it we all got a side of spinach. What? Then the runner took all three of them back (with a terrible attitude by the way like we were idiots) and the waitress brought us the three sides of potatoes….greasy, mushy, reheated tasteless potatoes. Bleeech. How they are rated a top place to eat is beyond me. What a waste of a nice building and great space.

The best thing about Clyde's at Tower Oaks is the service. The menu has very limited operations for non-meat eaters like me. It's a little pricey, but the surroundings are sumptuous. As an animal lover, I sincerely wish that they would get rid of the heads/hunting trophies on the walls. Thankfully, I didn't eat facing one.

This was my first visit and if I return I'll be sure to specify seating as we were stuck in a corner bench seat table that seemed to be an afterthought. We were in a high traffic area and our table abutted out into the isle and a table directly across from us. Our table was small and too crowded for our comfort. Really detracted from our experience.

Terrible service which was inexcusable - Erica, our server, was either overworked or incompetent. The food left much to be desired. Except for the drinks, this visit was not worth the high cost.

Everything about our dinner night out was just wonderful! The only thing missing was after mentioning to the hostess, that it was my birthday, we thought some little birthday gesture, possibly a little dessert with a candle??? This however would not prevent me from coming back!!!

I love Clyde's and always have for many years. It was always my husband's favorite place to eat! He particularly liked Clyde's Tower Oaks, even though we had many good meals at the Clyde's in Chevy Chase as well.
I have never been disappointed whenever I have eaten at either one, take friends there, or plan an "outing" with the "girls."

TowerOaks was decorated for the holidays and, as usual, was packed on a Friday night. We opted for the crab cakes - a Clyde’s specialty - and thoroughly enjoyed them. The Service was friendly, welcoming and professional - another Clyde’s trademark.Stuart Davidson would be proud!
