    This dinner experience was not as great as we are used to at Tower Oaks. Our service was very slow, and the room was especially loud (even though we were in a corner booth). The food was wonderful as usual, and the reservation system was also easy as usual.

    We like the atmosphere at this woodsy retreat most of all, but the food is good as well, if a bit pricey. Our dinner was great except for dessert. Milkshakes are not made with already melted ice cream from a jug. Not a huge deal, we had fun

    Tower Oaks Lodge is a Great Place for dining with Family and Friends. Food and Service is Always Great. One Thing the Restaurant needs to do is get rid of the tight seating booths and have few big round/square tables. Our booth seating areas were extremely narrow and uncomfortable, and I am 5'9" and 165 lbs!!

    My mother and I eat at Tower Oaks every time I'm in town to visit her. The service is always excellent and sitting at a booth in front of a window is always delightful. Unfortunately, this time she was not pleased with the food. She ordered shrimp and grits as her main and it was too spicy for her to eat. Then she asked for mussels (her very favorite) and this time they were too spicy, too. Is there a new chef? She was very disappointed, as this has not been our usual experience. I had the crabcake plate and it was lovely, as always. Oh, and kudos on the tiramisu....yum!

    I always enjoy dining at Tower Oaks Clyde's. I did notice that portions have been moderately to greatly reduced. For example, the bread & butter were but a taste!! SO sad, the bread is one of our favorite things about Clydes. Our waitress was scrambling to cover several very large tables in addition to ours. My Ceasar salad was good, but not superb (as in days gone by). My friend ate only half her sandwich. No one offered dessert. OK, we will be back for sure, but it was not the same level of quality as before.
