   The room we were seated in was almost empty yet we were placed near a fairly large noisy table. Waiter also charged us the credit card surcharge even though we paid cash. Very disappointing.

   Wife’s birthday, Cliff was great, awesome time! Ribeye and Steak Salad are great, and cupcakes for dessert was delicious. They make a great old fashioned as well!

   We really enjoyed the meal. We were happy to see the restaurant is recovering after the loss of the pandemic. The menu was quite large and everything we ordered was very good. The vegetable carpaccio for starters was very unique. I highly recommend it. We liked the bread and the service was exceptional. I really recommend this place, very affordable, great food and ambiance!

    Very noisy, the calamari was bad, but they comped it. The soft drinks were way overpriced,$3.99 each and the bill had a service charge. At the prices they are charging why do you need a service charge. The steak fritz was fantastic & so was the crab cakes. So all in all, I feel it was just over priced for what it was.

    Waiter didn't check in on us. Had to ask another server to get him to provide us with our check and she obviously didn't follow up with him because when he did show up at our table, he didn't seem to know we had requested our check.

    Clydes at TowerOaks has been our go-to place for a nice safe celiac friendly gluten-free meal. The kitchen let us down this time, and served the burger with a gluten bun. Our son ate a few bites before we realized the mistake. They gave us a discount, but less than the cost of the burger. They were apologetic, but our son ended up being so sick, that he had to cancel his annual vacation trip for this year.

    Great setting. Diverse menu selection. Our choices for dinner were excellent. Prices reasonable. Milo, our waiter, was outstanding. Very much worth a stop by for dinner if you live in Rockville or are traveling in the area.

    Plenty of parking at 1 pm. Beautiful setting especially in the back dining room. Very nice booth next to a window. The dining room was quiet. Service was good although I suggest the servers be trained to give diners a few minutes to taste their food before asking if everything is ok. The major issue with the food at lunch was salads drowning in dressing and tasting as if the greens had been allowed to sit in the dressing for quite a while before being served. All the greens were soggy. The salads would have been very good otherwise so if you want a salad, I suggest ordering the dressing on the side. The lemon vinaigrette was outstanding as was the salmon in the salmon salad. Cornbread was also very good. Beware the added fees. Lunch has gotten quite expensive.

    Always a good choice with reasonable prices and good, not great food. Wonderful ambiance. I had the Cod which was tasty but a small portion. Service was a bit slow but I think they are understaffed and the waitstaff had more than the usual amount of tables to take care of.

    Wanted a splendid Mother's Day dinner for my bride. Instead had a most uncharacteristic mixed experience. The good first: we had a comfortable booth with sunshine beaming. Our waiter, Joel M. couldn't have been more attentive although as you will hear later, training might be an issue for staff. We had a good, not great, bowl of cream of crab soup and an outstanding and beautifully presented vegetable carpaccio. Wine list was more than adequate. While pondering our entree selections, we discussed the menu variety (6 seafood, 1 fowl and 5 carnivore.) knowing that this day was difficult from a kitchen staff perspective, we chose two pan-seared dishes; Icelandic Cod & New England Scallops. The Cod arrived in a bowl with all the ingredients stacked, giving little to the presentation. The large piece of cod was more deep fried in oil with a breading than seared in butter. The few green beans almondine were buried. The Carolina Gold rice grits were tasty although minimal in quantity. I liked the dish but wished it had been better executed in plating. The Pan Seared New England Scallops were a disaster. The actual sear was quite remarkable until it was drowned in a pool of other ingredients. The menu called for brown butter mushrooms, Taleggio polenta, Parmesan dashi, trout roe. Sadly, the polenta was missing, the Parmesan dashi (a Japanese stock to make miso soup) was overwhelming and curdled the Taleggio (cheese) since it didn't have any cornmeal. Immediately, my wife asked the waiter about the delivered dish and showed the separated cheese to him. She, obviously, was dissatisfied and asked if the chef could explain the composition. After his third trip to the kitchen, it was apparent that no explanation was to be forthcoming. Joel did include the shift manager, who came after the plates were consumed and cleared but comped the dish. Cheesecake was astounding. Despite the bobble, we will be back, just like dozens of previous times.

    I have made reservations many times in the past for the 3 pm hour and was always presented the full dinner menu. I was surprised that this past visit the brunch only menu was available. I was also very turned off by the tax surcharge noted on menu that is new and is quite troublesome to me. I would recommend Tower Oaks Lodge to friends but with conditions.

    We went yesterday for Mother's Day brunch, and our experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was great, the restaurant didn't seem overly noisy or crowded which allowed for nice conversation at my table, and our order came out perfectly, even with a requested order modification. We had a great meal, and I'll definitely keep the restaurant in mind for future celebrations and get-togethers. Thank you!

    Tower Oaks Lodge is one of my go to’s. But it seems to be hit or miss on holidays, like many restaurants. On this occasion, my husband and I took my mom for Mother’s Day brunch. They seated us at our scheduled reservation time, which hardly ever happens, so I had high hopes. However, there were some issues with the food and the service. The waiter wasn’t attentive throughout the entire experience. Typically, they offer coffee cake while you’re waiting for your meal and we had to ask for it. My husband and I ordered our usuals. He had the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict, which was tasty as usual. I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious, as usual, but there was a noticeably smaller portion. I usually have trouble finishing it, but I was able to eat it all with no problem. My mom had the challah French toast and she felt it was inedible. She described it as eggy, soggy and tasteless. Challah is substantial, so they must have left it in the batter way too long. When we let the server know, he didn’t apologize, he proceeded to explain the process of making French toast. So we asked for the manager. There was no apology, but they ended up taking the item off of our bill. Instead of replacing it with a complimentary dish we had to pay for another entree. Then there was some confusion about our bill. They fixed it, but it was an uncomfortable exchange. I won’t say that I’m not going to return, but if I have a similar experience next time I may be done with Tower Oaks Lodge.

    I found our dinner experience to be first class. The resturant had a lodge feel which I found very pleasing, The service was very attentive and polite and the food was excellent. Everything came out in a timely manner and was served with a very pleasant smile. My wife and I are so glad we found your establishment its now our #1 place to recommend and to visit when ever we can.. Cant wait to the next time! Wish I could recommend our servers name..Taller lady ..really did an excellent job
