Tower Oaks Lodge
Everything was wonderful as always.
Services we HORRIBLE. Felt like we were in a cafeteria vs a restuarant.
The lobster wasn't as good as our past experience with Tower Oaks - maybe a batch of lobsters had been cooked earlier in the evening. The sauteed spinach tasted like it had sat in a steam tray. Our dinner was around 7:30 p.m.
As usual Clyde’s at Tower Oaks is a consistently good restaurant. The menu changes with the season and this time it was its lobster special. I had that and it was a good valve and very tasty. My husband had the cheeseburger which is his favorite. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Clyde’s has the best burger in the area.
I asked for a room with windows and a booth for a special birthday for a dear friend . We received all we asked for plus excellent service and some birthday cake! You cant miss with the Lodge!
Normally we thoroughly enjoy Tower Oaks Lodge. Our recent visit was disappointing. The service was awful. We ordered an appetizer along with our meals and the appetizer never came. After bringing us our drinks and taking our orders. we didn't see our table server again. He did not offer us bread or to refill our water or drinks. The food took a while to come and he didn't seem on that either. The horse room was crowded and very noisy. And at the table in front of us that we could see very clearly, a couple was acting inappropriately with their public displays of affection. It was disgusting.
Their lobster special is the best - perfectly cooked and delicious. Service great even though the restaurant was packed.
We had a wonderful time. Our server, Erika, was wonderful. Her cheerfulness and attentiveness were so appreciated. She is one of our favorite servers as she very much was s part of what made the brunch such a joy. The food was hot, as expected, and delicious. My friend throughly enjoyed her lobster, and my sweet tooth was thrilled by the Nutella French Toast balanced perfectly by cheesy scrambled eggs. The Adirondacks’ atmosphere is always delightful.
Always reliable. Great food, excellent service, great ambiance.
We love Tower Oaks. The food is wonderful and the service is excellent.
Great location and ambiance. Friendly and helpful waiter but we needed him to check with us more often than once every ten to twelve minutes. Coffee was warm but not hot due to cold mugs. (Warm coffee has been a Clyde's problem for years.) Tower Oaks is still one of our favorite restaurants.
Beautiful restaurant for a special occasion. Prices about what you’d expect for a nicer restaurant in this area. Excellent bar separate from the dining room. I like the complimentary valet parking.
It was great, delicious food and great service
Its lobster month so we are certain to visit this beautiful venue.
Enjoyed Happy Drinks... great ambiance.. it was a bit cool in the Saranac Room especially with ceiling fans ON.
Staff was very inflexible about seating arrangements
Great and service was excellent
Visited for dinner with a party of six- two regulars and four visitors. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Several had the lobster special and found it excellent. Our server, Clifton, was most professional and friendly. The visitors commented many times on the ambiance of the Great Room. The quality you get for the price is excellent. The wine list is extensive and wide ranging. Tower Oaks is highly recommended.
Lobster special month of October, a de-shelled lobster is same price as in shell but in both cases neither are as large as I would like.
As always good food, specials, and ambiance. Tower Oaks is hard to beat.
We have been to Tower Oaks Lodge many time and this is the first time we have been disappointed. The service was lacking and the waiter got my order wrong. He never came back to check on us to make sure things were ok. For a Sunday night the noise level was extremely loud and it was very hard to carry on a conversation. Overall our night out was disappointing.
Service and ambiance outstanding. Food portions are reduced substantially compared to my decade long experience.
This is a 3.5-star review. I no longer go here for dinner as the food is pretty awful and the service is unpredictable (and usually maddening). Still like it for brunch where the meals are on-target. While our server was very nice and trying his best, we were still "under-served". And the hostess is still unpleasant. All that said, the Ambiance can't be beat and I will continue to go there for brunch (not dinner).
Clydes at Tower oaks does not disappoint!. The food is consistently excellent. The wait staff is pleasant and well trained. The ambience is the best in the area.
Love the restaurant. However, can be quite expensive. Crab cake lunch, no drink or added items, cost $40 with tax and tip.
The Sunday brunch has an excellent selection, from the Chesapeake eggs benedict to the lobster shepherds pie, with a delicious coffe cake and $4 mimosas/bloody marys and half-price raw bar (with a great selection of oysters). It doesn't come cheap, roughly $100 for two. But well worth it!
Great place tucked away. Valet parking was a pleasant surprise. Super friendly staff.
The Maine woods décor is very cozy and just interesting to look at. We were there rather early (5:30) so it was not crowded yet. Our server was wonderful--she was cheerful, personable, and very helpful with options. We both enjoyed our meals very much.
The food never disappoints . Excellent service and they let you sit there and visit. Great for meeting with friends.
Love this place!
My friend and I were celebrating our mutual birthdays. The waiter was very thoughtful, and he brought us a dessert to share - with a candle in it. All in all, a lovely experience.
We enjoyed bringing a friend who was visiting from out of town. She enjoyed the food selection and the atmosphere. There were so many choices that she’d love to return and try more.
Nice getaway for my Wife's birthday. Beautiful lodge with great food and service. I made a great impression for my Lady. Thank you Tower Oaks-Clydes
Very happy experience for a family member's birthday. Great all the way around and a fun place to be!
We love "the Lodge" and take advantage of the Happy Hour menu and ambiance at least once a month.
We had a group of 6 on a Monday night. We were seated promptly and offered water and drinks quickly. Lobster was excellent and easy to eat. Eggplant parm was tasty and satisfying. Menu had some good vegetarian options.
The peach cobbler was absolutely delicious!!! This is my new #1 peach cobbler.
We were celebrating and the restaurant offered us complimentary glasses of champagne—so nice!
Food was very good and our server was great !
Lobster special a success! My husband had the whole lobster and I had the Shepherds pie. Both of us enjoyed our meals immensely. Our friends didn't have lobster but, nevertheless, enjoyed their meals. Our waiter, David, was superb in his interactions with our table--not intrusive but there when we needed him. Very personable guy.
