Tower Oaks Lodge
Great service! Waiter very informative about the history of the restaurant, how it was built, and all the decor. Beautiful!
First of all our server, Monica was excellent. The cocktail shrimp were outstanding (plus 1/2 price) and a good deal. The "double-dipped" wings were excellent. Overall, the food was very good and the service was great.
Lunch was as good as dinner... great place to meet for for business or casual.
First bad meal at Tower Oaks ever. Shrimp in shrimp cocktail were rubbery. Wife had crab cakes for entree and said they were bland. I tried the grilled cauliflower entree-a disaster. How did that ever get in the menu? Almost needed a steak knife to cut into the cauliflower. It was like they just took a head of cauliflower, put a flame to part of it, added some greens and a tiny bit of relish, and sent it out. Should have complained but just tipped well (service was great) and left.
Great experience as usual. Pricey, but worth it.
very enjoyable, food and service were just fine and it was quiet enough for good conversation
The food was delicious and Walid was an excellent server!! He was so accommodating and responsive and kind.
I love the fact that the menu has changed and there’s a new “meat section”! I always love the food at this restaurant and the sugar rolls are so yummy! The brunch there is excellent as well. I never sat at the bar, but it is always vibrant!
Very good service. Relaxing and nice.
Beautiful restaurant, great service!
After promoting half price wine bottle wine on Monday, we agreed. Then discovered we had been charged full price.
The food was delicious.
I was with 4 people and we all loved our meals!
We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday. No one acknowledged her birthday in spite of us telling the waitress. That has always been one of the perks we come to celebrate at Tower Oaks.
Excellent as always, food was top notch, great value. The ambiance terrific, all the rooms are great there. The service, good though a bit slow getting the check, busy night, it is almost always exceptional. Overall a fav for myself and my kids, cannot go wrong here!!!
We absolutely loved the place!! It was beautiful especially with all the Christmas lights still up. We both had the filet and it was delicious! We were seating in this perfect corner table made for 2. Everything about our experience was amazing! Our waiter was wonderful too!!
We had 3 $20 gift cards. I asked before we ordered if I could use all of them. The young man that seated us went to check and returned to say we could use all 3! When we paid bill, older waiter came back and said we could only use one. We asked to split bill 4 ways and he looked overwhelmed. We told him to split in half and we would keep one gift card. When he came back the split was not even in half.... Not affecting food but definitely not a helpful end to the evening. Our waiter was nice but seemed inattentive and still did not understand special requests. When we questioned where something we requested be served with other’s salad course, the “light bulb” lit up and he said “oh, now I see what you meant.”
How Did I Not Know About this GEM? TOL is a great place to meet with an old friend and spend some time catching up. It 'feels' a million miles/years away from the I270 corridor (yay!) While the mojo is important, what about the food? The Clyde's group has consistent high quality and relative value. My guest got the stacked crab salad and shrimp cocktail; I got the Brunswick Stew. My portions were correct, however, my serving of stew had very little meat, which considering the day and all the holiday eating was not an issue for me, but might be for others. My guest seemed to love the two appetizers but each was priced at the level of an entree... My personal preference is to have great service without feeling like the server is trying to sell you a used car, or become your brother in law. Some like the over the top friendliness, me not so much.
We were seated in the room with the big boats. The seats were so high that my feet did not reach the ground and my legs fell asleep. I was very uncomfortable.
My husband's meal was so garlicky he did not feel well the rest of the afternoon.
Clyde's (Tower Oaks and Ashburn) is one of our favorite restaurants, but this time we were disappointed.
Service was not as good tonight as it has been in the past. I did not receive my hot tea at all and my husband received his glass of wine as he was finishing his entree. Our waiter remembered my hot tea right before he brought the bill and asked me if I still wanted it. No apology - just a question as to whether I still wanted my tea.
A really nice experience. Service from Patrick was top notch! Food was good, wine was great.
The food was good and even though our server was nice, we needed to keep getting his attention to ask for things. When we ordered dessert and we told him we wanted to share the it, he didn’t bring extra spoons or offer. He lacked attention.
Excellent food and service on New Year's day! Thanks to our server - Chris.
It's OK, just OK. Service miscues, more annoying than serious. Been here often and the best I can say is ithat t's OK.
New Years Day brunch ... everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Three friends had a great experience to start the new year.
we have been to the Tower Oaks Lodge many times a year for many years now. the food continues to get worse each visit. The crab cakes were completely tasteless and not worth the money. the ruben had very little sauerkraut, the meat was tough, and the cheese was not melted. the fries were stone cold and tasted like they were warmed up from the night before. beautiful interior, but, I can't see us ever going back again. I guess Tower Oaks only wants to be known as a great place for happy hours, certainly not for dining.
Tower Oaks has never disappointed. The food is very good, service has always been excellent But it’s also the restaurant itself that really stands out. Special Holiday meLs feel extra special at the lodge!
Wife and I had 11:00 am brunch on New Years Day; Clyde's Tower Oaks is one of our favorites. Service was mediocre; waiters seemed over committed. Food was mediocre; poached eggs were cold, English muffins were brittle, presentation was haphazard. I wonder if they are taking their patrons for granted.
Lovey server, tasty food, had to send one dish back because although we made a specific request, it was not filled correctly the first time.
Went for New Years countdown. The tiki bar room had a DJ and dance floor for the night. They passed out party hats and glow in the dark sticks. Multiple staff walking the floor to see if anyone needed anything b Entire wait staff were so friendly and service was faster than expected for the number of people. Hostesses on the other hand were not as friendly or welcoming. Overall Tower Oaks Lodge is a great dining choice for everyday eating or for special occasions.
We went for a New Year’s Eve dinner and the meal was great!
server got the oyster order wrong and then attempted to cover it up by lying what was on the platter. The receipt however revealed he had placed the wrong order. He was occasionally attentive but not in a helpful way, he seemed unable to do much more than a brisk walk by, asking if everything was okay but moved past before we could respond, this and uncorrected order, long absence gaps during the night took a way from the experience.
quality of food as been going down with the traditional dishes, especially the Trout. Not enough meat on trout, all breading. Desserts prices too high for quality
Was looking for a NYE experience that was local and fun!! My expectations were exceeded! The food was great, wonderful service, and the DJ was amazing! What a surprise to find and will be back for sure!! I also appreciate the hostess changing our seating to be closer to the NYE fun!
I’ve noticed a decline in quality of service at Clyde’s Tower Oaks. I dine at the restaurant often being that it is right down the street from my home.
We had a New Year’s Eve dinner at Tower Oaks Lodge. Our server, Monica, was extremely warm and friendly, considering the holiday rush. We throughly enjoyed the food, especially the hanger steak and tomato soup. We are already planning a return visit.
Rowe Oaks Lodge is one of my favorite “Clyde’s” restaurants. The food and service were excellent. You can count on us coming back soon.
Very good food, very kind wait staff. Our waitress was very nice and didn’t rush us at all, which I loved. Staff also very kind in dealing with a complaining customer who didn’t like her table when they tried to seat her nearby - I didn’t see a problem with the table, but the staff was very prompt and nice when taking care of her nonetheless. Take advantage of their corkage fee if you’re a wine drinker - I found some of their prices to be high. Overall great staff, great food, great night. Will definitely go back.
Great Food and great service. Staff is greatly accomodating and helpful.
