We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

We sat outside under the tents, eventually mosquitoes got to us so we went inside for dessert but music was so loud we could hardly talk to each other. Otherwise classic great Clyde’s food and atmosphere.
It was a great date and I am glad it was in a place that I have always felt comfy going to - great place and alway has been - Peter
We sat out in tent. Not a fantastic ambiance but ok. Would be nice to have outdoor fans for tables.
I’m not sure the steak frites with crabcake is really worth $40, but it was tasty. I loved the calamari though my husband was not fond of the flavors. Loved my cocktail, “summer” something. First one on the list.
We went to Tower Oaks because it is an old favorite and they have outdoor dining.
We had a delightful time.
We ate at the outside tables under the tent - this is my third time recently. It is very pleasantl and our servcer (same one each time) was very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Spectacular as always! Great food and service from the staff.
Wonderful service by Elias.
quiet and very enjoyable Want to go back soon. love this place.
My main issue is that we went for Sunday brunch so I could have the yummy-looking blackberry short cake they had been advertising. All our food came in a timely fashion, and we were mostly pleased, although my over medium eggs were well done and had to be redone. The flank steak that came with my eggs was cooked perfectly and very tasty. But I got the fresh fruit bowl in stead of the potatoes, and the blackberries were about one-third the size of the ones I'd bought the week before at Giant, and the ones at Tower Oaks were quite tart, whereas the ones from the grocery store were sweet and full of flavor. So I was very disappointed not to get my blackberry shortcake. However, I got their fresh peach pie, and that was delicious.
It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for... Great service, atmosphere and high quality food.....
My first restaurant meal since March 2. Fantastic!
They were very accommodating to the restrictive diet of two of our party.
We had a very nice brunch and look forward to coming back again after the mask requirements have been removed.
Excellent service and food. Social distancing, masks and gloves well done.
One of the people in my group--the one who had the Crab Cake--had a very upset stomach and associated sickness.
Very nice place to eat. Stadd members was very friendly and polite despite some unruly customers. Food was delicious
not bad for a rainy night under the tents outside in the back parking lot with some safety measures
Excellent all-around. Food and service - my two biggies - were great. It was a little too cold for me, so I suggest a cover-up if you tend to get cold.
Menu was limited compared to what it used to be. Otherwise the experience was awesome.
WE had not eaten at tower Lodge in quite some time. We opted for indoors, as the humidity was nearing 100%. Staff was appropriately masked; our server was informative and kind; food was quite good: one of us had the sausage and rigatoni and the other of us had the scallops on quinoa and summer squash. Everything tasted great. For dessert we had a toffee bread pudding and a blackberry shortcake, which was heavenly. A bit pricey, but good. If it were not so far away from us, we would dine there more frequently.
Amazing spot, top notch food at a fairly reasonable price. The décor is gorgeous inside and out. I was very happy with my late lunch experience there and will be back if I am in Rockville again in the future.
Perfect choice for a first date. The social distancing limited the number of guests and provided a perfect atmosphere. The decor is amazing!
So in general we had way much better Experience than the one in Georgetown but not to the level I would go back again.
Nothing special in dishes, ordinary food , burgers , calamari and sandwiches ...prepared in an ordinary way . Service and people were nice . Ambience, not for kids nor teenagers at all , especially indoor seating. It’s good for grandparents in the winter season only. Oh sorry, the bathroom was clean and renovated!! :)
Dined under the tent outdoors - while it was quite warm outside on Saturday the tent was pretty comfortable. Our server was lovely - attentive without being annoying and very friendly. All COVID protocols were in place so felt very comfortable.
Overall, we had a good experience. There was not the selections that I was used to at the restaurant, but it was OK. The booths need some refinishing(probably due to the COVID cleanings). I would go back again.
Food and service were outstanding. Everyone was extremely pleased
Went for lunch during the pantemic so requested outdoor seating. They hava a patio area in a parking lot area. Tables were well spaced, it was shaded and servers wore masks and gloves. I felt fairly well protected. We both had the crabcake sandwich which comes with fries and coleslaw. They were tasty and prepared perfectly as excepted of Clydes. They have an impressive list of beer on tap. The only disturbing part was a customer who arrived without a mask. When asked he refused to put it on. There was clear information about the restaurant's policy on masks at each table. This customer refused to follow those and was not asked to leave. Besides that, we had a good experience. I look forward to the day when we can all eat inside again.
Great job of adapting to our current pandemic situation. We sat on the front porch and were well spaced from others and there were no issues with us or with the staff in all of us wearing masks to interact. Food, as usual, was great!
Food & service excellent! Felt very safe & comfortable considering.
First Coronavirus excursion. Went early to Tower Oaks to limit crowd size and it worked. Sat in a table by the bar, a few people sitting at the bar, that was fine by me. All the staff had masks and gloves. When someone left the bar, where they were sitting was immediately wiped down and cleaned. Commendable.
As for the food, a limited menu, but satisfying nonetheless. Hummus and pita, a Reuben and a Bacon Cheeseburger. Comfort food during an uncomfortable time. All was delicious and a reminder of why we went there.
Our waiter was on point and did a great job.
So happy to dine in after not being able to for almost five months. The Clyde's Restaurant Group has gone above and beyond to insure that the diner's health and safety if first and foremost during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am not surprized by their thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Seeing that our favorite server was still employed was a major plus. Thank you.
I enjoyed lunch with two of my wonderful friends on 7/13/20. We dined outside under the spacious tent. I was so impressed that the physical distancing far exceeded the requirements. We sat at a lovely table in the corner. Beautiful surroundings with trees and the sound of birds singing. Food and service were outstanding. I am returning for dinner next week. Many thanks!
Sat outside on the porch. Service spotty. Food OK. Used to be my favorite place but it has slipped over the past year. That said, choices with seating are limited so will likely go back.
The outside seating was very nice as the tent is partially shaded at dinner time and there was a nice breeze the night we were there. The salmon was good but I didn't care for the carrots and peas it came with - especially as it was supposed to come with asparagus. My husband liked his ribs but said they were nothing special. He liked the potato salad best. We both liked the calamari.
I booked the restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The service was inattentive with bringing water, ice, condiments. When we asked for the check, they did not bring any treat like they always did, to celebrate the occasion. I pointed out that I did specify the occasion when I booked but the waitress only said the host did not tell her anything and came back with the check only...
That was disappointing, especially when we are all coming out of months going nowhere and I would expect a restaurant to be more welcoming to its clients. I’ve been there dozens of times but will think twice before returning again... The food was average, no specials were being offered either. We sat outside, where it was a parking lot before. Oh well, COVID-19 times...
Great service. Great health precautions. Staff wear masks and gloves.
Covid is ruining another one, so sad. Menu is very sparse, especially when compared to the old. Food came cold and not up to Clyde’s standards. Service was not up to par with of course the masks being a real problem. Plates piled up on the table I assume because only certain buss staff are aloud to touch them? The worst of all though is the addition of cheap plexiglass barriers everywhere which look dirty and really mess up the ambiance, and that is of course what the place is mostly about. I hope they can make it through and get back to their old glory, this used to be one of my favorite places. With 25-50% occupancy mandates these places are all going to go out of business anyway, so sad.
Service was long, you could use a fan outside, where we ate. Waiter was very nice and cordial.
