We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

I booked the restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The service was inattentive with bringing water, ice, condiments. When we asked for the check, they did not bring any treat like they always did, to celebrate the occasion. I pointed out that I did specify the occasion when I booked but the waitress only said the host did not tell her anything and came back with the check only...
That was disappointing, especially when we are all coming out of months going nowhere and I would expect a restaurant to be more welcoming to its clients. I’ve been there dozens of times but will think twice before returning again... The food was average, no specials were being offered either. We sat outside, where it was a parking lot before. Oh well, COVID-19 times...
Great service. Great health precautions. Staff wear masks and gloves.
Covid is ruining another one, so sad. Menu is very sparse, especially when compared to the old. Food came cold and not up to Clyde’s standards. Service was not up to par with of course the masks being a real problem. Plates piled up on the table I assume because only certain buss staff are aloud to touch them? The worst of all though is the addition of cheap plexiglass barriers everywhere which look dirty and really mess up the ambiance, and that is of course what the place is mostly about. I hope they can make it through and get back to their old glory, this used to be one of my favorite places. With 25-50% occupancy mandates these places are all going to go out of business anyway, so sad.
Service was long, you could use a fan outside, where we ate. Waiter was very nice and cordial.
We had a pleasant evening and a yummy dinner. It was clear that Clyde's went to extra trouble trying to keep we diners safe. Thank you.
Sitting by the koi pond was so beautiful! The server was very attentive and helpful. The ribs were delicious and the shrimp with succotash was a spicy delight!
Hard to believe this location is right of the beltway. A great place to feel like you are somewhere else. The staff was very professional and the food was amazing. If you are looking for a unique warm ambiance, this is the place.
First indoor restaurant meal since March. Appreciated the precautions taken by staff - distance, wearing masks, tables spaced well-apart. Thanks for the good food and a welcome break from eating at home.
Our waitress Imani was lovely, funny and helpful. Staff was very covid-cautious and we had an excellent first meal out in months!
As a vegetarian I was disappointed that there were few options. Ordered the lentil vegetable burger but added cheese and mushrooms. Came without the cheese or mushrooms so sent it back. By the time it was returned to me everyone else had finished their meal. Bummer. I did take a bite or two and found it to be dry and tasteless. Boxed it up and tried to make it more palatable at home but was not very successful. Should have just returned it.
You might call this a non-review, because we went to TO based on pre-COVID experience, and were crestfallen to be seated and then look at a menu that was bare bones, nothing unique, and far too expensive to pay for something we could get anywhere -- burgers, salad, crab cakes, etc. I guess we should have asked before we went. Kudos to TO for opening to dine-in business, but maybe you should drop the usual boring fare and have at least one unique offering! We left before ordering and went elsewhere.
Great food and service, with plenty of outdoor sitting. Excellent place for dinner in the times of the pandemic.
As good as always. Very good experience. Felt safe throughout the visit
Tower Oaks offers adequate outdoor with affordably priced menu to get out of your house and socially distance with friends or family. Servers wear masks and provide a safe environment.
Lovely evening as usual! We sat on the front porch and it was beautiful!
Great outdoor dining set up.
"Soft-opening" to see how all of their precautions would work? Excellent. The manager met us at the door and explained everything ("Please wear your mask when your server is at your table."). Plenty of social distancing. Count on Clyde's to get it right.
I have high expectations for Clyde's restaurants, which they have earned. I keep going back. The menu changes frequently, and even the staple items are often tweaked with variations. The food is always good and looks beautiful. The service is prompt, efficient, and gracious. It is always value for money.
It is a great place to take friends or family.
WOW does Tower Oaks make going out to eat in a restaurant feel safe! As we walked in the front door we were informed steps we as patrons were required to take to keep staff and other guest safe and steps taken by staff to keep everyone safe. We loved the food, staff and atmosphere. Thank you Clyde's for making dinning out fun again.
Food quality was better than ever! Sat on the Tented patio, distanced from others, very good experience.
Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. We had a good meal and the dessert was scrumptious.
As usual the dining experience at Clyde’s Lodge is a wonderful experience as it has always been!!!
An all out effort was made to ensure safety for the staff and customers in view of Covid-19 issues. Social distancing was evident in the restaurant, staff wore masks when interacting with customers and paper menus were used.
Service was attentive and food was delicious.
Tower Oaks is doing a fine job with social distancing and providing wonderful service.
This has always been one of my favorite places to eat and service and food is always excellent!
OMG, We almost had the whole room to ourselves with only one other table occupied. We felt safe and assured that everyone at the Tower Oaks Lodge was being careful and maintaining social distancing.
The food was great. I always get salmon, and it's one of the best places around to get a delicious piece of fish served attractively. My friend got a cheeseburger with blue cheese, her favorite. She raved about it.
Many thanks to the Tower Oaks Lodge for making a special birthday celebration possible.
We were exited to be able to return to Tower Oaks. The service was outstanding along with the food. We could visibly see how much effort went into sanitizing each and every aspect.
We enjoyed our time there and the waitress who served us is super nice so does surroundings. We’ll come back again!
The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were exceptional!
An excellent place to take my out of town guests. Even with the limited menu the verity of food choices were very good. The ambience of the Lodge is unique. We had a great dining experience.
Our server Elias went above and beyond in meeting our expectations. The restaurant is gorgeous and food delicious.
When I telephoned Tower Oaks the day before, the representative said they didn't take reservations and the indoor seating wasn't open. This was completely wrong information. I was able to make a reservation on OpenTable and they are seating people indoors in the air conditioning. The menu is much smaller than their pre-Coronavirus offerings, and understandably so. But they could offer more than 2 tablespoons of coleslaw and a larger crab cake for $20. The server was mostly out of sight, and she seemed reluctant to bring the three of us their signature cinnamon bread (3 rectangular pieces). The roast chicken was especially good. My brownie sundae had hardly any chocolate syrup on it.
This was our first "night out" in nearly 4 months. The biggest difference was how quiet the dining room was. It was wonderful. I can't wait for it to be noisy again.
Safe and great service!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Job well done under the circumstances.
Very nice setup on front porch during Phase 2 where we celebrated our anniversary. Thanks!
Lobster tasted reheated. Usually my favorite dish. DID NOT EVEN FINISH IT !!!!!!!!!!!!
Always a nice dining experience. Food and service is excellent.
Yummy tasty foods
Always a good experience at Towers Oaks Lodge. Braved the virus scare and had a great wedding anniversary dinner. At 50% capacity the Lodge was more intimate. Sorry they will need to shut down for a bit until the virus concerns pass.
