Tower Bridge Bistro Ratings and Reviews
I had grilled halibut and it was delicious, it and artichoke hearts on the plate were covered in some kind of white sauce which should have been left off the dish, two friends had scallops which were covered in some type of tomato sauce that should have been left off as well.
Our only other issue was it took an hour to get our food and there was only 1 other table of people there and they had already been served.
A wonderful dining experience, everything was perfect, service, food, atmosphere, view. One of our favorite Sacramento restaurants. Every visit has been great . Never a disappointment with 4 years of dining here. We had lots of fun with a great view of the tower bridge. Absolutely perfect.
Very good service, very good food overall. The poached halibut was disappointing. It was fishy smelling and too salty to enjoy. I should have sent it back.
The panko crusted prawns were unbelievable delicious. The steaks, the lamb, the pork, the chicken all excellent.
Celebrated Valentines Day with a special prefix menu that had good selections and quality food, but unfortunately the kitchen's preparation did not match the quality of everything else. The entres came out lukewarm, which was promptly and graciously replaced by wait staff. The replacement was okay, but potatoes were so overcooked they could not be cut with a knife. We will try one more time when we can order from the menu.
I rarely take the time to write reviews but my experience at the Tower Bridge Bistro deserves my time. They prepared a beautiful table for seven of us ladies there to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. The service was excellent, the food amazingly fresh and delicious and our servers were delightful.
Tower Bridge & Bistro participated in the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge 2016 and their Three Course Prix Fixe menu offered up some very tasty vegan dishes! We enjoyed the Butternut Squash Bisque, Thyme & Garlic Portobello Mushroom with Horseradish Smashed Potatoes with Creamed Spinach and Swiss Chard. And for dessert, we ordered one of each vegan treat; Coconut Cake and Chocolate Panna Cotta. And we had a fun disagreement on which dessert was the best. Keep up the great work Tower Bridge Bistro and consider keeping a couple of vegan entrees on your regular menu.
My husband and I each had selections from their featured "seafood on the river" prix fixe menu. Every item was perfectly prepared! My main dish lobster risotto had more lobster in it than I have ever had anywhere else!!! Lovely desserts, as well. Our waiter, David, was very friendly, and the manager also came by to check to see how everything was. Valet parking is validated, so it's free (except for tip, of course). Will return there for sure, especially when they present their next prix fixe menu in a few weeks.
Although this was not our typical list of places to dine, we have the Farm-to-Fork Dining Card (Dine 26) and have been experimenting with new places to eat. It did not meet our expectations so we will not be returning. Specifically our meat (lamb & beef) was not cooked as ordered and had to be returned (medium came out rare to raw). So take care on your order. Otherwise an OK Experience.
We enjoyed our evening at the Tower Bridge Bistro. The food was good (notably the salads were wonderful). Our entrees - beef tenderloin and a rib eye steak - were on a par with most good restaurants. The sauces that you can order for your steaks are served on the side rather than melted over the steak. By the time the steaks arrived, the butter would not melt. The wine list was very nice, but a little on the pricey side. Don't hesitate to bring your own wine for a $15 corkage fee. The highlight of the meal was our waiter - David. He is a gem. Great personality, helpful, handled dietary needs, even brought me a choice of vintages for our wine selection. Then he provided us with a special dessert for our anniversary. Thank you, David.
My wife and I went to the Bistro for a special get-together. We've eaten here many times in the past year and one half and the number one thing for us is the level of service and attention to detail from David, our server. He knows us so well that when we arrive for our reservation he already has our preferred beverages waiting for us on our table. We enjoy the food there. I like the short ribs and the fried chicken entrees, while my wife always orders the hoisen flavored ribs from the appetizer menu, which are outstanding!
I also like the free valet parking, which is important if you try to dine anywhere near downtown.
As always, a great experience, especially because of the personalized service David provides.
Service was good. Very quiet restaurant. We were the only diners for the first hour of our dinner. A few more than diners by the time we left. Meal was fine, but felt a bit overpriced for the atmosphere and the food. Staff very attentive but then it felt a bit like a private dining, which was nice in a way.
The food was standard hotel fare, the server was impeccable, I'll give him that! I don't plan to eat here again when there are so many amazing restaurants in town. This is a good spot if you'd like to sit outside within view of the Tower Bridge and have a nice "bar with food" moment.
My friend and I come 2-3 times a year, they always accommodate her vegan needs. I even order vegan sometimes, it's that good. This time I ordered the salmon, awesome choice. I highly recommend for dining and always appreciate the quality service.
Food and service were great, as previous reviewers have stated David was the best. The soup was very temperature hot, which was perfect. The cioppino was amazing and they made it even spicier per my request. For some reason I expected a little more of a "romantic" atmosphere which it wasn't, but all the same would go there again and would try during the day or sunset to take advantage of the view.
