Disappointed with both the meal and the service. The Louisiana fried rice was not fried, but rather was cooked rice with coagulated eggs, and our server was mostly nonexistent. Wish we had a better experience.

Had a reservation for 1 PM and still had to wait 10 minutes for our table. Tow out of the three menu items from the website were not even on the brunch menu when we got to our table. Our server was rarely to be found while we were there for the ALMOST 2 HOURS waiting on our food. When the server was there he was rude and condescending. Food is overpriced for what is served. To top it all off, the restaurant WILL NOT split the check. Seriously? At least submit different orders if you won't even split the check. Severely disappointed with this establishment. It will be a while before I ever come back, and I will be sure to let others know why.

Isaac Toups and team sure know how to take care of their guests. My wife and our friends enjoyed every bit of it.

The food was absolutely amazing!
🔹Freshly shucked oysters
🔹Louisiana crab claws marinated in a ginger jalapeno vinaigrette.
🔹The most amazing Meatery board that included Fresh cracklins and chicken liver mousse. 😋

Onto to entrees:
🔹Double cut pork chop with dirty rice
🔹Braised short rib with sweetbreads, fingerling potatoes, red pepper
🔹Lamb Neck with bucatini, lemon gremolata

Yes we had dessert but for the life of me can’t remember what it was. It was delicious though.

One of the main reasons we came to NOLA was to dine at Toups. Being long time Top Chef fans and Toups Meatery Instagram followers, we were excited for the opportunity to sample Toups' cuisine. We were not disappointed. The airy, contemporary atmosphere was comfortable and had a definite neighborhood feel. We both tried and enjoyed the Emerald City cocktail - great way to start a meal. Gabe, our server, guided us to the Meatery Board to which we added the cucumber salad. We could have stopped right there - oh man! The meats were a wonderfully varied sampler, the salad a refreshing tangy palate cleanser, and well, we'll be back for the cracklins - can't say enough about them. For entrees, we had the quail and the venison - both cooked to perfection. Gabe was knowledgeable and friendly - asked us just enough questions to get a good feel for our tastes - and we enjoyed his service very much.

We were visiting NOLA for a few days around NYE. We booked our reservation on Open Table but were not notified the menu for NYE was prix fixe for $85/person. The food was delicious, but certainly not worth that price per person. After adding in alcohol, tax, and automatically added 20% gratuity (which was well earned), the bill was $285 for two. We dined at other high quality restaurants during our stay, and this was our most expensive meal by far. We were expecting to be able to order off the regular menu.

Food was outstanding, but a bit pricey for the amount served. But it was New Years. The staff was friendly & accommodating. Would like to go back & try the regular menu. I would love the recipe for the last cocktail of the evening with tequila & hot chocolate- delicious!

Service was insanely slow. Went for lunch and not crowded. Apps were pretty good but our main entrees were not good at all. Instagram photos don’t accurately represent the food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food from cocktails to end. There was a lot of food and it was awesome. Our waitress was helpful but took a while. Seemed they were under staffed. Loved my chicken sandwich!

Waiter didn't ask if tap water was ok just plunked two glasses down and left. When her came back 13 minutes later (all times are actual measured times, dinner sometime takes a while here so I was paying attention) we were informed we had to order all at once, the kitchen insists. I told him I wanted bottled still water then pointed out the champagne I wanted saying I want white wine glasses instead of flutes. Ok, and he took away the water glasses. He returned and literally slammed each glass down hard enough to begin worrying about one breaking. He then left get the wine and water, at the bar we saw him say something and then the manager leaned over and said something to him. When he returned he was all polite and friendly. Problem solved, that shouldn't have ever existed though.
We placed our order, 35 minutes later got our appetizer. 55 minutes after receiving our appetizer we got our entrees.
A 2 course dinner took over two and a half hours.
The food is always great but the service has become too unpredictable and the wait time too ridiculous. It's not worth it anymore.

What an outstanding brunch spot! It has some of your regular lunch/dinner items, but they also have brunch items such as French Toast Sandwiches and Roast Beef Bagels. The real winner is the bottomless mimosas, and they are very frequent to fill your glass.

Our extended family (8) went with us to celebrate our 47th anniversary. We had reservations and were the first to arrive in the restaurant. We were served 1 1/2 hours after being seated. Steak had good taste, quail had no meat and was a ball of batter. The other dishes were hit and miss. We were told the kitchen burned the bacon so no dishes would be served with bacon. We we’re excited to visit this restaurant, but will not return.

One of the better place I have ever eaten. The meat board and cheese were unbelievably. Wish they weren’t out of the lamb neck but it was still good regardless. Would definitely recommend when your in New Orleans.

We went on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant was about half-full. Service was quite slow throughout, and was inattentive. For instance, we were not given bread for ~10 minutes after getting our meat plate, and the amount of 3" slices given to us was less than the number of people at our table. After waiting 90 minutes for our larger plates we decided to get it to go.

The food itself was fine, sometimes good. Some items were overly dressed. The steak and gulf shrimp were great. Arrive expecting to eat almost entirely meat

The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is due to an issue with our server. The server disappeared mid-service as we believe the individual "over-served" him/herself... And the only reason I am mentioning this is the staff handled the situation seamlessly - everyone pitched in - the bartender, the hostess, as well as the other servers. The food was definitely five-star! The crab claws, double cut pork chop, wagyu steak, fried quail and confit chicken thighs - all outstanding! Oh - and the rillons... delicious little bits of goodness!! We WILL be back!!!
