Wonderful menu and great service. Meat Board was fantastic!
Nice outdoor patio. Service was excellent. The lamb neck was unreal - absolutely fall off the bone deliciousness. Also really loved the cornbread. It is an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food when compared to the price!
Excellent food and service! All of the side dishes were excellent as was the entree.
Service was great! My wife’s steak was undercooked twice. She was
wanted medium we’ll still running blood even after sent back to cook further.
Really disappointed with our meal. Our waiter basically ignored us once we didn’t order when he wanted us to. We ordered apps but weren’t ready to order main courses yet. He never came back, never got second order of drinks. Didn’t get the other apps we ordered. Really disappointing because we really enjoyed our apps. He would also yell across the patio to check in on tables instead of walking up to them. Just not what I expected. Enjoyed the food though!
Off the chart flavors and creative presentations. Excellent sommelier and wait staff. And the dude, Toups, was there and very gracious. Wish he was in Memphis.
Toups Meatery has set up a lot of extra outside tables.
Wow. That is the best word to describe my first experience at toups. The food was amazing. I had the wagyu steak and it was hands down the best steak I have ever had. The other food I had was also incredible. The staff was also very friendly and made great recommendations when asked on what to choose.
Customer service very accommodating and cordial. Waiter was very attentive.
The meatboard was interesting. Next time I think I will get the cheeseboard instead. Service was great.
Great team! Awesome food!
Had the most delicious family brunch. Took our 8 month old daughter and the restaurant had an infant chair. We sat outside and it felt super safe. The service was great. Per usual, the food was outstanding. We always get the Meatery board and several other dishes to share. Everything was perfectly cooked. If you haven’t been to Toups, you need to!
My husband and I had reservations for Easter Sunday. We we arrived, the only table “available” was next to the door where someone dressed up like an Easter bunny was rocking back and forth. Butt, literally eye level with us. When I asked if there was another table, the hostess said no, but then proceeded to sit two people without a reservation outside at a table that apparently was not available two minutes before. We ultimately ended up leaving after we sat for 15 minutes without so much as an acknowledgement of our presence.
Outstanding food. Crispy turkey necks to die for. All food and service amazing.
Everything was pretty amazing! From start to finish everything was seasoned well, great flavor and wonderful service
Best restaurant in New Orleans. We had the meat plate and it’s wonderful.
Love everything we had and service was splendid! Will be back for sure!
We got a combined Meatery/Cheese Plate, and it was amazing; I literally sagged in my seat when I bit into the first cracklin, and I wanted to eat a whole plate of the rillons. Absolutely loved it.
Friendly service, good food. They don’t mind special requests.
The Meat Board is EVERYTHING!
Lunch or large plates may be a better choice than small plates and dinner. Was hoping for more interaction from our server. Sitting by the kitchen and observing the chefs interactions may not have been the best choice. Food and drinks were good were craft level but not exceptional.
I went here for my anniversary for a late lunch. The food was amazing, flavors were elegantly executed with a lot of creativity.
We were excited to eat here after reading many positive reviews, but unfortunately the food we had was sadly underwhelming and we were met with bad service, no ambiance and greasy floors. With all the excellent choices New Orleans has to offer, we will definitely not be back to Toups.
We decided to try this place because of the awards and nominations the chef has received recently and it surely delivered! But the service was below par and that to me is as important as the food itself. It took a number of tried for us to get the right menus, first we were given old versions from spring and fall 2020 as well asa brunch menu, then the server had to keep looking at his notes to figure out what the specials and the setups for the dishes were, which is not a good look at all. When we were served the first appetizer, by whom i think was the manager, it was just dropped on the table with no introduction or a simple « enjoy! » and other little things like that when put together do not help the whole experience. This being said, the food was delicious and the portions were very generous and when asked what i liked most i have to say everything because it all was tasty and filling....but serviced was just bad 🤷🏻♂️
Amazing meat plate. Waiter suggested sides of dirty rice and cucumber salad. A perfect combo and more than enough for 2 to share. I’ll be back.
I made a reservation on open table for a 3:15 late lunch. When we arrived we were told “that needs to be changed on the site we stop serving lunch at 3:00 and start happy hour”. We look at the happy hour menu and decide to stay. We are seated by our server, watch him walk to the side of the building and wait 7 minutes before we are asked what we want. Keep in mind it’s happy hour, we are the only table and there’s all of 6 small plates to choose from. We begin to order, get to the cheese, ask what kinds they have, server walks away and stands in the kitchen window writing for 3 minutes. Another server comes back to tell us “blue cheese, soft sheep’s milk and a hard cow milk”. My reservation was 3/17, I’m writing this on 3/23 and can still remember all 3 cheeses. We order the cheese. Server walks away. We weren’t done ordering. Call him over to order the rest and the very next item on the small Happy hour menu, they were out of. My husband and I looked at each other and decided we had enough of this disappointing experience and left. Not one apology from beginning until the end. We were a clear inconvenience for their afternoon.
Amazing and delicious and simple. The food pairings are wonderful
The chicken sandwich was, indeed, the best I ever had!
What a great restaurant! Went here for my birthday with a group of 5 friends. From the second we walked in we were treated like family. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks were great. We pretty much ordered every different cocktail on the menu. We share two orders of boudin balls. Hands down the beat I’ve ever had. And the two people in my group who have had them before agreed. Also shared the meatery board and cheese board. Such a unique and excellent selection. Chicken liver mousse and head cheese topping my list. Go now and enjoy. You won’t be disappointed.
Everyone is friendly, food is tasty.
Great food and service. Wagyu steak and the house charcuterie board both impeccable. Outdoor seating was comfortable. Excellent spicy house Manhattan. We’ll definitely be back.
Food was outstanding once we got it. Made a reservation at noon. Arrived precisely on time. Food arrived at 1:00. No explanation or apology was given, I checked several times as we had a flight to catch and was told “coming right out”. Water refilled once during that hour. We had to eat our food in record speed once we got it as we were so rushed. No idea what was wrong..light crowds..hardly an overwhelming lunch rush. The food was amazing but everything else was a disaster.
Crush it as always, waiter was charming as well.
Too much salt! Overpowered everything. Left me feeling sick.
Always love Toups! Super consistent and delicious.
This is some of the best food I have ever had. Excellent service. Great ambiance.
Maybe the best restaurant in New Orleans.
Food was outstanding. We started with a Meatery Board and extra order of Cracklins, one just isn't enough! For entrees, we had a Raynes Farm Wagyu Steak and a Fried Catfish Benny -both were awesome! The Catfish Benny was tasty with a perfectly poached egg and yummy hollandaise.
