Touchdown Club II
Then, just a few months later in May of 2006, the new Touchdown Club II was reopened by Michael Molina and Jonathan Miller. Both of them graduated from Greater Latrobe High School and currently reside in the area. These young gentlemen plan to continue many of the same traditions that started back in 1947. The tradition of a friendly gathering spot has been here for many years and will continue to be in the future
shrimp sauted with spinach, garlic, & tomatoes
I tried the Salmon Rockefeller. It was extremely Delicious. Very Good!
" PRIME RIB LOVERS "...This is the place on fridays and saturdays....the prime rib was awesome. We started with fried calamari....' excellent '....Server....DEBBIE ( i hope my memory was correct...? ) ...she was awesome and so attentive....and made our experience delightful. Last time here....it was a private club
not any longer.....looking forward to many more great prime rib dinners with awesome service,,,,all was a real " 6 POINTS "...touchdown .
So happy we gave the Touchdown Club. Service and dinnners were excellent. (Duck and Scrod)
Service was very good and the prime rib was excellent as usual.
Excellent from start to finish
Salad dressings and crab cakes are very good, but the backed potatoes were hard. Atmosphere is somewhat dated and dark.
Great staff, always good food and drink, would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion
Love the Lobster tails and martinis. Also great crab cakes.
We visit the area once a year and always have dinner at the Touchdown Club when we are there. It was originally recommended by the bartender at our hotel. Although next to a bowling alley in a strip mall, and the fact that it is completely unimpressive from the outside, we were pleasantly surprised by the good food and service - until this year. The service remains very good, but the food was awful. They give you a bowl of raw veggies at the table to start: they were obviously sitting around for a long, long time - very dried out and sad looking. The celery was black at the edges. The salad was okay, but again, the greens looked past their prime. The French onion soup was almost entirely cheese - good, but very strange in that regard. The prime rib was about 75-80% fat, but the meat was good and prepared to order (medium rare). Desert (chocolate cake) was dry also. Overall, disappointing. We will not be returning.
The food was delicious! I had the crab cakes and they were huge and just all crab meat!!!
The Touchdown Club is one of the last places you can go and not have to yell over the noise. It's not that there aren't people there, but it is a nice dining room with the feel of a club. There's no gimmicky jangle or music that's overwhelming. The atmosphere is comfortable, the service is top notch and the menu has something to please everyone. It doesn't feel dull or stuffy. It's just right.
We ended up leaving and never even ordered dinner. It was so cold in there and the noise level was so high that we could not hear each other. We graciously told our waitress how uncomfortable we were and that we decided to go elsewhere. She was very nice and understood. We also noticed that the prices had gone up a lot since the last time we were there. We we disappointed, however, because we have always enjoyed the food there.
The prime rib and filet were outstanding. I had the filet and it was perfectly cooked--medium rare. The wine pour was very generous.
If we want to go out for a nice dinner, this is where we go. Always excited to take someone whom has
never been there before, because they're always impressed, and say they had no idea how nice it is.
They've been able to serve us any drink we've asked for. Servers are so pleasant and patient with us.
Salads are so fresh. We've enjoyed everything we have ordered. You must try the Calimari Diablo!
Excellent service and high quality of food. Some items on the high side of price. You get what you pay for.
Most people were eating sandwiches and bar food so that should have been an indication. Prices were a bit steep but they did accommodate by girlfriends Gluten issue. I have no problem paying for high quality food! If I’m in a Restaurant/Bar atmosphere I guess I should not order a 30 dollar entree. My fault
The food was good.. the service was exceptional. The prices were a little on the high side.....loved the fresh bread.
Great food and great service I would recommend to family and friends
Every time we dine there the food is always delicious and the owners and staff are very good. Would recommend dining here to everyone.
Week day dinner started with well-mixed, generous drinks. Dinner special of Shrimp and Grits was delicious. Grits and sauce were great, would have liked a few more shrimp.
Great service, good food.
Ok place, but the waitress spilled melted butter on one of us (thankfully cought mostly by the napkin), and didn't offer much in the way of apologies or comps (including .75 cents for blue cheese on two $40 dinners).
My good friend from church has been on the sad side recently. I thought it was time for us to see each other and get out for dinner. It was my turn to choose, so I chose the TD 2 and told her it would be a surprise, and surprise it was, happily. She had never been there. I rated your scale, there was nothing I could improve upon, the server was sweet, the food was delicious and the topper was we each went home with a doggy box ........ a meal for another day!
Fantastic food, and service as usual!! We enjoy having our Christmas family dinner here for the last 4 years. My family of 11 all enjoyed their meals and want again next year. Again, Thank you and have a glorious and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Good food and early bird specials! Highly recommend the Salmon Rockefeller!
A special occasion, to celebrate at the Touchdown II...
As always, a great meal...
Was easy to access from rt.30, the food was great, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The waiting time for our dinners was minimal. First time eating there.....definitely won’t be the last.
Always dependable! Friendly atmosphere and great wait staff.
Best Lobster Tails around for a great price. Can't beat the French Onion soup.
Two of us had the lobster it was great done just right . Will be doing it again.
Excellent food, great service and relaxing environment. Highly recommend!
I enjoy the Touchdown Club once n awhile. My one complaint would be that it is too dark. Lighting is very low and not in a good way.
Friendly people. Good salmon dishes. Mix of young and old. Casual dress. Dill dressing is very good. Good bar options. One of the best places in Latrobe.
I made reservations at the Touchdown Club based on reviews and the fact that we were going bowling afterwards at Lincoln Lanes next door. The food was OK. There was nothing exceptional, but the portions were very large. The pasta portions could have easily fed 2 - 3 people and we wonder why folks in the US are overweight! That being said, the pasta dishes were very tasty. Two people in the group got the prime rib special and it was extremely fatty.
Service was good and the waitstaff pleasant.
The meals were moderately priced as were the drinks.
Wonderful food and great atmosphere! I would highly recommend dining here if you haven't already! The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel like part of the family! And the food is always outstanding!
Always great food, owners and staff are great also. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
Very enjoyable evening celebrating my sole's birthday!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I’d recommend this place to anyone and the owners have taken time to restore the history behind the Touchdown club. The food was fresh and hot. The bread they bring to the table in the beginning is delicious. The menu holds a variety for anyone. Please check this restaurant out if you’re in Latrobe it’s worth the stop! You won’t be disappointed!
Dinner always good. Service is friendly and efficient. All around nice place with a diverse menu.
Bread was the only thing good. We saw nice atmosphere and menu but food was average disappointed. Carrots celery dry. Beef nachos. Where was the beef under toooo much cheese. Salad dry. Chicken parmesan average. Fettuccini average. Dinos across the street much better!!
