Toscano Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Sensational! The burrata with heirloom tomatoes was superb! My calamari/shrimp/ lobster over pasta was fantastic as well. As always, my wife’s chicken francese was perfect. The service at Toscano’s was top notch as usual.
Our favorite restaurant in New Jersey.
I had dinner here 10+ years ago and then had not been back until a business associate invited us there for dinner last month. Then I visited again a few weeks later. The food is very good, they have a nice variety of Italian and steakhouse. An unusual combination but Toscano's does is extremely well.
First time at Toscano’s. Looking to attend another evening there. Food was outstanding. Had oysters for my app and seared tuna over rice for the entree.
Restaurant is limited for space. The only compliant is the manager said that our table was ready for our 6:00 reservation. He said proceeded to tell us that we had to be finished before 8:00 since they had another reservation. This was a business dinner with some of the guests with us was from out of town. Couldn’t complete everything on the agenda since we were rushed. Not good.
Failed to read “special requirements” . I requested a larger table (for 4), party of 2. They had a table for 2 ready but reluctantly did seat us at the larger table. Every time we go there, we have to go through the same thing,...... as if they are going to lose money by having 2 people sitting at a table for 4.
We've been going to Toscano's for many years and the food has yet to disappoint. Service is great and the Chef really knows how to prepare his cuisine. Be prepared to spend some change if you plan on a full menu; cocktails, appetizers, dinner, dessert. This is my high-end choice for a quality restaurant!
Toscano lives on it's own plane. It is an extremely professionally run operation that excels on most levels, and raises the bar in Bordentown. The food is all good, from their appetizers,(Italian egg rolls),to their main courses.Toscano has really good steaks, they have a great pork chop, with a root beer glaze, that is yummo! It doesn't taste as though root beer was poured over the chop, much deeper flavors than that.Desserts are also good.It can be loud, but the carpet, etc, helps to keep the noise from getting shrill. The service is also excellent, - very hospitable, attentive without being overbearing.I have never felt rushed. So,give it a try!
Fantastic! We shared the prime dry aged sirloin and the wet aged filet and I have to say they were 2 of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The sirloin was aged to perfection and might possible have been more tender than the filet. Our server Matt was friendly and always available when needed without hovering. An outstanding meal and evening!
Love toscanos but a disappointment my last time. Dinner took way too long. Food was great except for the pork. I asked for it medium and it came out very medium rare. I sent back and still underdone. Brought it home to cook for dinner the next night. Would go back but would make a point about the pork being underdone.
We drove up from Delaware to meet friends and decided on this gem simply based on Open Table reviews. And we are so glad we did. Toscano Ristorante is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Its location in the quaint beautiful town sets the stage for a great evening. The menu is exceptional and creative. The service is impeccable -- every dish arrived piping hot. The meal was timed beautifully so as not to rush us. And the decor is warm and inviting. The owners clearly want their guests to feel as if they are guests in their home. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Excellent menu choices! The specials were also outstanding. We ordered from the specials, sweet potato ravioli and the veal chop with langoustine risotto. Each came with a nice starter salad. Glad we didn't order an appetizer as we would have had no room for dessert. Apple cider donut with pumpkin gelato. WOW!
WOW! Where do I start with Toscano? I drive an hour just to eat here and it is 1000% worth it! The food here is absolutely amazing. Every time we go, we are never disappointed. We have gone during the Sunday family style food as well as the Thursday steak night. The family style was perfect, the bacon calamari is TO DIE FOR! We get to every time. The steak that my bf got during the Thursday steak special the last time we went was mouth watering- we both agreed that it was the best steak we have ever had. The waitress brought it out to finish cooking right in front of us. I always go with a pasta dish and it was so delicious. The pasts is cooked just right. The desserts are amazing as well. Overall, a bit on the pricy side but very well worth it for special occasions.
We went for our 14 year anniversary dinner. The food was amazing! We both got the NY Strip steak and it was hands down the best steak I've had! The beet salad was delicious! And the desserts topped it off! The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We definitely will be back!
Love this restaurant. Food is excellent...have never had a mediocre or bad meal. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. When you arrive for your reservation, your table is waiting. The town of Bordentown is a quaint place with lovely shops and fun to walk around before or after your meal. Highly recommend Toscano's.
One of our neighborhood favorite restaurants, Toscano's has really become a fine dining establishment. 7 years ago we held a family's member funeral luncheon & the food was enjoyable. Today, it is top of the line, fresh dining options prepared with style.
We were a party of 4, shared clams casino and fried calamari. Clams weren't my favorite, but everyone else loved them. Calamari were excellant!! We moved onto entrees, I had the special NY strip steak served on a 500 degree plate. Superb. There was a sesame ahi tuna w/ scallops, chilean sea bass over cauliflower risotto and veal & chicken salvatore served over portabello mushroom pasta. Not your usual Italian restuarant. Enjoyed the house merlot & the house sangria with dinner. Everyone was too full for dessert but they looked out of control!! Bluberry creme brulee......flourless chocolate cake, omg. We love their Amaro Nonnino after dinner coridal. Of course we will be back. We are so glad we finally have a upsclae restaurant in the neighorhood.
This was a surprisingly good meal. Shared a large mussel app. Enormous high quality pork chop and tuna special for mains. Food prices were higher than they should be but wine and cocktail prices were very fair and reasonable. Service was truly excellent. Nice locationin heart of very quaint downtown area.
I had the 8 oz filet, which I loved. My husband ad the kind of steaks, which he devoured (somehow). The mashed potatoes and vegetables were excellent. We also had an appetizer of meatballs that were very good. We unfortunately didn't have any room for dessert, but I will save room next time!
The best restaurant in NJ. We were dining at our favorite spot celebrating our daughter's birthday and, as usual, everything was spectacular! Matt behind the bar made super drinks. Kim was a very attentive and friendly server and the steaks were to die for. This place has the best serving staff on the planet. We can't wait until our next visit.
