Toscano Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We Dined for lunch on Valentine’s Day, and it was a wonderful experience! I’ve read reviews, and have several friends who rave about the Toscano experience, I understand the rave reviews after a fantastic meal and a quality of service I’ve rarely experienced. I can’t say enough good things, but I’ll mention this! Most times when I order a steak medium well it comes out over cooked. This was the first restaurant that actually got it right, and the porterhouse for 1 was a phenomenal cut of meat. The pricing is reasonable for service and food of this quality, I think I’ve found my new favorite restaurant.
Toscano's bills itself as an Italian steak house and it does not disappoint. I had a dry aged New York strip and my girlfriend had a center cut filet. Both were cooked to perfection! Side dishes are a-la-cart and plenty big enough for sharing. Wine list is good but not overwhelming. The service was perfectly attentive. Not overly intrusive but you also never had to look for your server, they were there when needed. Pacing was excellent, allowing for plenty of time for table conversation but not ever wondering where is the next course. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in the Bordentown area. Compares favorably with all the NYC steak houses.
My husband and I frequent Toscano's often. I, personally, love Bordentown and all the quaintness the small town has to offer. The food/drinks/service at Toscano's never disappoints. We were celebrating my son's 25th birthday. It was his first visit ... he said 'this is the best steak I've ever had'. So I'm assuming he enjoyed it as well! Nice job!
Our “go to” place for a special dinner. Never had a bad meal. Pasta dishes are great but the steaks are wonderful as well. Can be a little pricey for specials but Pre Fix menus are very reasonable. Wife had a NY strip and I had the dry-aged Porterhouse.... it came out on a searing hot plate with garlic and fresh rosemary. The couple next to us vowed to get it next time. Great meal!!
As always, spectacular! Toscano is the only restaurant that I will drive an hour to in order to enjoy lunch. It doesn’t get any better! This visit the Mediterranean Salad was sensational as was the pescatore. My wife’s filet spring rolls were awesome as was her chicken francaise. Best restaurant in NJ!
Six of us had another wonderful dinner at Toscano Ristorante. Many say this is the best restaurant in all of NJ and it’s hard to argue against that opinion. You will not have a better meal anywhere in NJ, hands down. We started with the Calamari, the best on the planet - tender, tasty, with a topping of a sweet and sour Demi- glaze and bacon. Our 2nd appetizer was the Pane Toscano - A thick crusted loaf of bread stuffed with mozzarella cheese and caramelized Vidalia onions, topped with roated garlic and Romano cheese, baked to a crispy delight.
Our entrees were equally exquisite, four had the Ahi Tuna special that was out of this world. One had the Grouper platter and another the Hazelnut Encrusted Salmon with Roasted garlic mashed sweet potatoes , asparagus, lobster cognac beurre blanc, both to die for..
The homemade desserts were out of this world. The service was great and we all walked out saying the same one world - Amazing.
This place is not to be missed.
Normally this place is a great place for food. Our last visit however was a bit disappointing. Alot of items removed from the menu that we enjoy, and myself and fiancee were left with limited choices. My steak was charbroiled on the outside literally blackened, and not cooked to perfection in the middle. Asked for medium well and was very pink. My fiancee as a vegetarian was limited to spinach ravioli and while good, 4 ravioli for $23 seemed a bit steep price wise. In good faith we would come back, however, this visit celebrating her birthday was not as great as normally expected.
Sensational! The burrata with heirloom tomatoes was superb! My calamari/shrimp/ lobster over pasta was fantastic as well. As always, my wife’s chicken francese was perfect. The service at Toscano’s was top notch as usual.
Our favorite restaurant in New Jersey.
