Food was very good. A little pricey but knew that going in. Service was excellent! I had the Cowboy steak, very good but not huge for $56, my wife had Grouper Francaise, also very good. Would def go again.
Fantastic meal! We took friends for their first visit to our favorite restaurant and Toscano’s came through big time. The food was sensational and the service was the normal perfect.
All of the beef options are great. Side dishes are excellent, just the right amount.
The Food was absolutely delicious. Love it. The service was nice.
Food was delicious. Service was great!
Service & food are above average. Also Bordentown City is a charming little town.
Normally this place is a great place for food. Our last visit however was a bit disappointing. Alot of items removed from the menu that we enjoy, and myself and fiancee were left with limited choices. My steak was charbroiled on the outside literally blackened, and not cooked to perfection in the middle. Asked for medium well and was very pink. My fiancee as a vegetarian was limited to spinach ravioli and while good, 4 ravioli for $23 seemed a bit steep price wise. In good faith we would come back, however, this visit celebrating her birthday was not as great as normally expected.
As usual the food was good however I ordered a veal chop medium to medium rare and got one over cooked well done. What a shame
We were very happy with our dining experience at Toscanos! We will return soon!
As always we had a wonderful experience and will be back again. The real steak Parmesan was out of sight. Meatballs are delicious And the stakes are always a treat. Service was outstanding and the wine selection perfect.
Food is always great here! My favorite is the Veal with Sunday Gravy. You can't go wrong. Highly recommend, but be sure to make a reservation. The place is small and sometimes it is difficult to get a table, so make the reservation well in advance.
Always a most wonderful evening
We celebrated our 29th anniversary in style
Sensational! The burrata with heirloom tomatoes was superb! My calamari/shrimp/ lobster over pasta was fantastic as well. As always, my wife’s chicken francese was perfect. The service at Toscano’s was top notch as usual.
Our favorite restaurant in New Jersey.
While the food is exceptional and the service is first rate, the volume of sound makes conversation difficult.
Food was very good from calamari app, to salad, and dinner.
Best restaurant in the state of New Jersey! The heirloom tomato mozzarella salad start was phenomenal as was the prosciutto on my wife’s meat/cheese starter. My chicken and shrimp fra diavolo was superb. My wife’s chicken encorozza was magnificent.
Toscanos never disappoints. Always amazing! The steak was moist and delicious. The meatballs are like nothing I’ve ever had, and the wine is always yummy.
I had dinner here 10+ years ago and then had not been back until a business associate invited us there for dinner last month. Then I visited again a few weeks later. The food is very good, they have a nice variety of Italian and steakhouse. An unusual combination but Toscano's does is extremely well.
Awesome restaurant. Been going for years and they never disappoint. The Tomahawk steak special is ridiculous!
First time at Toscano’s. Looking to attend another evening there. Food was outstanding. Had oysters for my app and seared tuna over rice for the entree.
Restaurant is limited for space. The only compliant is the manager said that our table was ready for our 6:00 reservation. He said proceeded to tell us that we had to be finished before 8:00 since they had another reservation. This was a business dinner with some of the guests with us was from out of town. Couldn’t complete everything on the agenda since we were rushed. Not good.
Failed to read “special requirements” . I requested a larger table (for 4), party of 2. They had a table for 2 ready but reluctantly did seat us at the larger table. Every time we go there, we have to go through the same thing,...... as if they are going to lose money by having 2 people sitting at a table for 4.
The BEST Italian food in NJ. And, since NJ has the best Italian food in the country, not sure what that says...
We've been going to Toscano's for many years and the food has yet to disappoint. Service is great and the Chef really knows how to prepare his cuisine. Be prepared to spend some change if you plan on a full menu; cocktails, appetizers, dinner, dessert. This is my high-end choice for a quality restaurant!
Just your typical PERFECT meal from Toscano.
Toscano lives on it's own plane. It is an extremely professionally run operation that excels on most levels, and raises the bar in Bordentown. The food is all good, from their appetizers,(Italian egg rolls),to their main courses.Toscano has really good steaks, they have a great pork chop, with a root beer glaze, that is yummo! It doesn't taste as though root beer was poured over the chop, much deeper flavors than that.Desserts are also good.It can be loud, but the carpet, etc, helps to keep the noise from getting shrill. The service is also excellent, - very hospitable, attentive without being overbearing.I have never felt rushed. So,give it a try!
Fantastic! We shared the prime dry aged sirloin and the wet aged filet and I have to say they were 2 of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The sirloin was aged to perfection and might possible have been more tender than the filet. Our server Matt was friendly and always available when needed without hovering. An outstanding meal and evening!
Great food and fantastic service! The steak was amazing!
We went for our anniversary. We shared the special tomahawk ribeye. The was one of the best steaks I ever had. Sooooo good. The restaurant is a bit expensive, but this meal was worth it. My only criticism is over the coffee. It tasted a little old.
The food was excelent and the service was even better.
Love toscanos but a disappointment my last time. Dinner took way too long. Food was great except for the pork. I asked for it medium and it came out very medium rare. I sent back and still underdone. Brought it home to cook for dinner the next night. Would go back but would make a point about the pork being underdone.
Excellent food and service. On the Saturday night when we dined there the noise level was a bit high.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We drove up from Delaware to meet friends and decided on this gem simply based on Open Table reviews. And we are so glad we did. Toscano Ristorante is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Its location in the quaint beautiful town sets the stage for a great evening. The menu is exceptional and creative. The service is impeccable -- every dish arrived piping hot. The meal was timed beautifully so as not to rush us. And the decor is warm and inviting. The owners clearly want their guests to feel as if they are guests in their home. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for a memorable evening.
It must have been an off night compared to other times we have been there.
Food was just average . Usually much better.
As always, an excellent meal. Service was outstanding.
Nothing better from bar to entree to dessert . Love it always .
Fantastic veal chop and steak service was fantastic and appetizers delicious as always
Excellent menu choices! The specials were also outstanding. We ordered from the specials, sweet potato ravioli and the veal chop with langoustine risotto. Each came with a nice starter salad. Glad we didn't order an appetizer as we would have had no room for dessert. Apple cider donut with pumpkin gelato. WOW!
WOW! Where do I start with Toscano? I drive an hour just to eat here and it is 1000% worth it! The food here is absolutely amazing. Every time we go, we are never disappointed. We have gone during the Sunday family style food as well as the Thursday steak night. The family style was perfect, the bacon calamari is TO DIE FOR! We get to every time. The steak that my bf got during the Thursday steak special the last time we went was mouth watering- we both agreed that it was the best steak we have ever had. The waitress brought it out to finish cooking right in front of us. I always go with a pasta dish and it was so delicious. The pasts is cooked just right. The desserts are amazing as well. Overall, a bit on the pricy side but very well worth it for special occasions.
We went for our 14 year anniversary dinner. The food was amazing! We both got the NY Strip steak and it was hands down the best steak I've had! The beet salad was delicious! And the desserts topped it off! The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We definitely will be back!
Love this restaurant. Food is excellent...have never had a mediocre or bad meal. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. When you arrive for your reservation, your table is waiting. The town of Bordentown is a quaint place with lovely shops and fun to walk around before or after your meal. Highly recommend Toscano's.
