I’ve always enjoyed Toscano - the sirloin with pepper sauce and the tart are my favorite!
A birthday dinner for my 79 year old mother - it was fantastic. Food was great, service was great, ambiance was nice and cozy with a bit of surrounding energy.
The only bummer was that we came early thinking there was a bar at which to get a drink before dinner and there wasn’t - my mistake for not checking
Had our first experience at Toscano tonight and were blown away. The food, ambiance, and service were phenomenal, and our visit as a whole felt incredibly relaxed. Make sure to save room for dessert!
Visiting from Los Angeles I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent and impeccable service.
Very disappointing. Haven’t been for a while and we were looking forward to our dinner. Last time there was very good but can’t say the same for tonight. I had the shrimp with leeks over spinach and my husband had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. My shrimp were evidently cooked too long because they were tough. The tagliatelle was tasteless and dry. No much else to say. The food was not even average and we probably won’t return and certainly would not recommend to friends or other family members.
Food great. Our waiter Mustafa was awesome!
My mother and I had lunch at Toscano's after her tests at MGH. She has a very restricted diet, and the menu had options that worked for her, and the server, Jose, was extremely attentive to every need. Thank you, Toscano's!
Absolutely one of the best meals I've had. Everything was delicious and the service was awesome. Great place and hope to visit again!
I went to Toscano's as a recommendation from a friend, since I was visiting Boston with my wife and 17 year old daughter. The food and service was exceptional. The ambience and location was charming. We all enjoyed our delicious appetizers & meals and when the bill arrived I was pleasantly surprised for the quality and the overall experience it was tremendous value.
Brought my sister for her birthday. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, great with recommendations, and very charming. The food was amazing! Everything cooked to perfection and the seasoning so balanced and flavorful, there was no need for salt or pepper.
The only issue was the ambiance. The lighting was kept so low, many of the patrons were using flashlight settings cell phones to read the menu. It made me wonder what they were trying to hide.
Amazing food, great service, exclusive wine selection beautiful environment. You can’t ask for a better dining experience!!
Awesome as always!
Solid performance as usual, it is always a pleasure to dine at Toscano!!
The food was up to our very high standards!! Evrerything was done and presented to perfection. The service was impeccable. The Italian wine list was extensive and our waiter helped us with a delicious Sicilian wine. I would highly recommend Toscano’s and we will definitely return!
When in Boston we have always had our Italian dinner in the North End but this trip we ventured out to this Charles Street restaurant and were very glad we did. The buratta in the caprese has the exact texture and mild flavor paired with wonderful beefsteak tomatoes you wish you could always have.
The soft pillows of the four cheese gnocchi were wonderful and we had the stuffed veal chop special for our entree. The chop was cooked perfectly cooked and the delicate sauce finishing off the dish was the savory compliment this cut deserved.
The food was delicious and the ambience was charming. Our pasta dishes we fantastic! The service was courteous and very professional. We will definitely return!
Dinner at Toscano was great. Entrees and appetizers were delicious. We ordered the shrimp and bruschetta appetizer. Nice selection of wine. The dinner special was grilled vegetables with 2 scallops, 2 shrimp and a small piece of swordfish with a tangy sauce on the side. Delicious!
We arrived early and our table was ready for seating.
The only complaint is that there is not a bar area to congregate, because they use it for dinner seating. We would have preferred to hang out at the bar before sitting for dinner. But that is a minor complaint because they sat us right away.
The ambiance is nice, too. Tables are congregated in different areas, so it feels fairly private. Service was terrific, our waiter was always available when we needed something.
Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
This is the second time I have been to Toscano. Both time the food, wait staff, and atmosphere were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion as well. It was my wife's birthday and she enjoyed every moment at this restaurant.
Thank you to all the staff at Toscano
Terrific food, wonderful staff, and great experience.
Great authentic Italian food. A reliable Charles Street standout.
Wonderful ambiance overlooking Charles St. and outstanding homemade ravioli, branzino fish, and beset salad.
We enjoyed our experience at Toscanos very much. The food was great and the waiter was completely accurate in his descriptions of the dishes we ordered. We all expressed a desire to return.
Very nice, it was a pleasure to enjoy the food and service! We love this restaurant!
Excellent will go again
My favorite restaurant in Boston! Great service as always.
It was our first time dining here and we had a great time! Service was very attentive, food was delicious (rigatoni toscano and the 4 cheese gnocchi) and they brought a dessert out for my husband's birthday with a candle (it was a surprise). We would definitely go back again!
Our first time at Toscano, it will not be our last. The service was great, the portions were plentiful. Share the appetizers, they are huge. The Osso Buco was great. Wine wasn't overly pricey. Can't wait to go back.
Terrific service, delicious food. Great place to celebrate a birthday!
All three courses were very good: Caesar salad, veal, and for dessert frutti di bosci served in a sbaglione custard and chocolate cake. My wife had a glass of moscato d'asti and I had a quartino of Chianti riserva. We go here regularly for birthday dinners and are never disappointed. Worth mentioning is the warm welcome we received on arrival from the maitresse d' Cost ($114) was what we expected. Not quite haute cuisine but we weren't expecting this. Finally, though there is a valet service, we've never had much trouble parking on Charles Street.
Outstanding finish to a great time at the theatre! Delicious food and excellent service. Will return soon.
Haven’t been to Toscano in years mostly because there are so many choices. After revisiting, I will remember to return more often. All was wonderful. The kitchen was so accommodating with splitting orders, preparing a special dish all on a very busy Saturday night.
Thank you Toscano!
Overall great dining experience. Our waiter was attentive and very pleasant. I had the eggplant parmigiana as a starter and it was fantastic! The portions were very generous on all of our items. We would definitely return again.
Terrific staff and excellent classic Italian food.
Toscano is an excellent spot for lunch in Beacon Hill. There's excellent variety on the menu, so if you don't want a large main course (or their amazing pasta), you can order appetizers, soups and salads. Nice selection of wines by the glass and some really terrific dessert cocktails as well.
Toscano was a great dining experience! During my reservation I marked that the occasion for dinner was a date and we when we arrived not only did we get seated 15 minutes early, but we also got set up with a really nice table immediately next to the window. which did tons for the romantic atmosphere.
Overall, the dining was great. The wine came out perfectly chilled and the food itself was fantastic. We ordered the Bruschetta as a starter (very yummy!) and we had a the Gnocchi and the Orechiette Vitelo (highly recommended). My only qualm is that the overall experience felt very rushed. Maybe it was because our reservation was for 9 PM and the restaurant closes at 10 PM but I would take 2 sips of my wine and the server was there to pour me half a glass more. In all the overall dining was great, it could have been a little bit more protracted but it was still highly enjoyable.
It was a really good place to go. We had a great time and the food was good.
My second time at Toscano and I loved it again. We were in Boston for a conference and had a table of 5. The service was excellent and they had no problem handling special orders. The food was fabulous. I highly recommend the house appetizer. I had a seafood mixed grill with grilled vegetables. My husband had the tiramisu dessert and loved it. Great wine selection too. My only complaint is the noise level.
I had a very pleasant experience. The food and the ambience were great!! I was also very happy with the service! I would definitely recommend!
