Love this restaurant. We've eaten here at least four times, every time we have visited Boston in the past two years. Food is delicious -everything is good, appetizers, meats, fish, pastas all taste homemade and so fresh. Staff are very hospitable. My only very small critique: they do not write up the specials for your review, you are dependent on the waiter to tell you the specials. At least twice (including this time), our waiter had a very strong accent and so was difficult to understand what the specials were. Don't let that keep you from going, this restaurant is really worth visiting.
Very nice restaurant located on Beacon Hill. Excellent menu and choices as well as an extensive wine list both by the bottle and by the glass. Very good, attentive service!
We love going to Toscano! The servers are some of the best in the city. Our family has a lot of dietary issues/restrictions due to medical conditions, and the servers and chef are always very accommodating, so everyone can have a wonderful meal!
The meal itself was good. The service was okay. They kept coming to the table every 2-5 minutes to talk with us- even though we ordered appetizers, salads and entrees at once per insistence of the server- in other words there was so reason to keep coming over. They also tried to take away food and wine before we were done, almost seemed like they were rushing us along. We had an 8pm reservation- which I believe is obvious we will be the last group at that table for the evening and our. Consideing our bill was $600 (for 3 people) I expect better service.
The localization, the service, the Wine, and the food was perfect!
Best clam chowder in Boston! Neat neighborhood restaurant!
Truly outstanding food leaving you wishing to return the next day
Plus, caring personal service!
Lovely experience! Delicious cheese plate and wine selection. Very kind service.
Toscano has always been a favorite. This visit was no different. The service was great, food was amazing and recommendations were spot on. Great spot in Beacon Hill.
My wife and I visited Toscano for our 8th Anniversary and before a trip to see Hamilton. Everything about this visit was fantastic between the service, food, and ambiance.
I would solidly recommend Toscano for a romantic evening or special occasion. If we lived closer, we would definitely be back.
A very nice restaurant. Expensive for sure, but excellent food and service. We enjoyed it a lot.
Great american italian in Beacon Hill district. Good food but enormous portions. can get noisy
Great service, fantastic food. The presentation was very nice and the food prepared perfectly. Attentive staff made sure the table was always happy. Highly recommended
Enjoyed the atmosphere. There for a Sunday lunch. Great service — attentive without being intrusive. Did a good job of keeping the water glass full!
Incredible. We shared the beet salad topped with arugula an excellent salad for two. I had the pollo special with mushroom risotto—-the risotto was amazing and a very nice 1/2 chicken that was deboned. The service was spot on. A great restaurant
Great night!! Food, service and atmosphere were terrific.
The food was very good. Got to sit at a 4 person table with 2 people so had plenty of room. The pasta was amazing...some of the best Italian food I've eaten. Service was really good and the wine list is very long. Overall I really enjoyed it and I would probably consider myself picky when it comes to my experiences at restaurants. I like to be impressed and I was. It was my girlfriend's birthday and the waiter (Peter) brought out a tiramisu with a candle on it which was really nice...and delicious. I would also recommend using the Valet because parking in that area is difficult especially at night.
We go there 2-3 times a year. The service and waitstaff are always excellent. Great menu and food.
Can you tell I love Toscano? My favorite restaurant to eat at when we're visiting our daughter in Boston.
Great find in Boston…! Our best meal of several. Great atmosphere, although a bit noisy… Loved the food and the service. Highly recommend it…
The fiod is good, but for my $ - I woukd far prefer to dine at Benedetto or Gulia. Much better food.
Phenomenal sincere attentive service and delicious food
Nice atmosphere and delicious food and wine. I will highly recommend this restaurant.
I love Toscano — by far, one of my favorite hidden gems in Boston. They were so sweet, we asked if we could sit at a different table and hey accommodated us immediately, the servers were attentive, the ambience is warm and not stuffy at all, and the food was perfect.
We usually find ourselves in the North End for good Italian so we loved finding this gem in Beacon Hill. Our waiter was personable and very knowledgeable. We visited with a party of 6 and the menu had a little something for everyone! There are a number of fish and meat options in additional to the anticipated Italian pasta dishes. Although chicken parm isn't on the menu, they made it at our request. We also enjoyed a number of desserts and after-dinner drinks. There was not a single thing served that we weren't happy with. Would definitely recommend Toscano for date night our group dining!
Toscano never fails to deliver the kind of quality of food, service and ambiance I fell in love with dining in some of the finer restaurants in Northern Italy over the years. Our server was professional, friendly and ever so attentive. Remains my favorite restaurant in all of Boston.
Great service and meal and especially important, they have several vegan soups which are fantastic.
We had a wonderful dinner at Toscano on Charles Street this past week. I had the lemon sole that was delicious and my husband had a pasta dish with sausage and cheese that he enjoyed. We shared a simple vegetable salad to start. The wine list at Toscano is excellent (mostly Italian, but offers a lot of variety). Our Hungarian waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. A German couple sat at the table next to ours and we enjoyed talking with them. Thank you, Toscano, for another lovely evening!
Plenty of food. Leftovers. Food was good. Nice menu
Tenderloin with cognac cream was great! The service was absolutely top notch. Thank you, Daniel! Can’t wait to go back!!!!
Service and food were great. But noise level was so loud, it’s not worth it. Too difficult to hear at a table for 4.
Outstanding meal to celebrate anniversary while visiting Boston.
The roasted eggplant parm with fresh mozarella was exceptional. Tagliatelle with Porcini Mushrooms & Linguine con Vongole were dynamite. Topped off with a 4-course dessert!
If we return to Boston, we will be back!
Most delicious food and fabulous service! We come here when we visit Boston from Los Angeles!
Everything was excellent, except the dishes were overpriced. A straight pasta dish shouldn't cost $21. Veal Parmigiana with pasta, maybe $21. There are many good Italian restaurants in Boston where you can get great service, good ambiance, great Italian food and pay roughly 50 to 60% less. Funny they automatically added a 20% tip for a party of 5? People were probably giving low tips due to the sticker shock on the check. Again, the food and service was excellent. Better be a super special occasion to justify the outsized check.
Very good drinks & pasta dishes. Server was very difficult to understand so we didn’t really get a good idea of the specials. The spinach side was disappointing- no flavor at all- needed to be sautéed with garlic, etc.
Everything was going great until the main meal came. The salmon was very fishy - not fresh - and our waiter said it was one of the best meals on the menu. The fishy taste ruined the rest of the person's meal, since he
couldn't escape that taste with everything else he tried.
I doubt we'll go there again.
Amazing experience as always! Beyond expectations Allergy respected. Peter is a great representative of this fine dining establishment!
Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the blueberry torte. I had tiramisu and my friend got the blueberry torte - and the torte was delicious! The tiramisu was good, but the torte was amazing. Good service and great food.
Food was very good and the waiter was great he was very knowledgable in the wine list and wines in genera.l
Tagliatelle Porcini was wonderful - perfectly cooked pasta. Sole with arugula also perfectly cooked and seasoned. Ricotta tart for dessert was tasty and not too sweet. Service was impeccable. We were lucky enough to have a large booth for the two of us, so it was private and not too noisy - though we came for an early dinner, so perhaps it was louder later on). We scored a last minute reservation through Open Table and felt lucky. I would definitely return. Reservations a must.
