We were here to celebrate a birthday but it felt like eating at a fast food restaurant. No ambiance and the food was not great. Will not come back.
Had 3 different appetizers that were super yummy. Only complain is that there could be a little more cheese on the bruschetta. Otherwise, delish!!!
Pizza is best deal on the menu. Paid $32 for a piece of fish the size of a deck of cards, 5 halved fingerling potatoes and 4 green beans…. Pasta is also small portion and hit or miss depending on what you order.
Great food, great service great time, you can't ask for anything more
The food and service were exceptional. Our server's great enthusiasm added to the experience. Your online reservation system is wonderful; we literally walked in and were immediately escorted to our table. We will certainly be back!
Love the Carbonara with the grilled chicken and the egg yolk!
Food and service were great! Restaurant was a little warmer than I’d like, water couldn’t keep ice - it’s kind of a greenhouse atmosphere so with doors / windows open it would be hard to keep it cool. But we had a great time
Great service, food was excellent
This was one of the only restaurants I could find day of with reservations at prime dinner time. We took a chance and had a lovely dinner. The ambiance was great and the food was delicious. Large portions of pasta and lots to choose from on the menu. Good bread and appetizers as well. Great dinner while visiting Salt Lake area!
It’s good to be back at one of our favorite restaurants. The Salmon Caponata was exceptional as was the chicken parmigiana. Next time we will pass on the calimari. It is usually wonderful but this time was a bit over done.
Everything was good, I think they are struggling a little bit with help , like everyone else. Our waiter was very good just really spread thin so wait time was a little longer than normal for food etc...
Great service from our table server. It was sweet that they had a table all set up when we got there to celebrate a birthday.
Absolutely the best Italian food in the area, by far!
It was our first visit. We loved the pizza bites as an appetizer so we thought we had picked a good restaurant, the rest of the food was ok. For the price we expected more. The Alfredo sauce didn’t have any flavor, meatballs were very spicy , halibut was very fishy ( old). We had wanted bread to soak up our sauces but didn’t see any on the menu, nor did we have spoons. We read reviews later telling us they usually have sourdough bread but it was never offered to us. Our waitress was nice. Not planning on a return visit.
Our waitress was amazing!! The food was delicious. It really was overall an incredible birthday dinner
This was our first visit to Toscano's and loved the food, the wait staff, and ambience. My new favorite Italian Restaurant!
It was a bit of a touch and go experience. The place was near empty but they tried to put us by the kitchen. We did get a different seat. One of the appetizers, the potato croquette was so salty it was inedible. But on the other hand the meatballs were absolutely amazing.
Our waitress was plausibly distracted as an Italian soda was asked for with no cream. But came out with whipped cream on top.
The ravioli was good. But similar to what you could find anywhere. So over all I was really unimpressed. I thought the inside would be beautiful, but it verged on tacky. Kinda a bummer since we were trying to celebrate a bit.
Toscano is our favorite restaurant. Joe is the best server ever!
The food was very good. The Chicken Marsala was rubbery, but the restaurant worked to fix it. Apologies were offered by the manager and the replacement was cooked to perfection! It was our first time. We will be back.
Certain things were good, but overall, not worth the high prices. For instance, the red pepper cream sauce on the Penne Diavolo was excellent, but the pasta definitely wasn't fresh. The packaged butter with the bread was a turnoff. Isn't this an Italian restaurant? Why don't you serve your bread with olive oil? Also, the chocolate mousse creme brulee tasted good (not amazing) but was literally served with Hersheys chocolate syrup on the side.
Our server was very good but took a while to show up, and there were busboys just hovering around our table with nothing to do. It was quite awkward.
Overall, I would expect to pay much less for what we ate and experienced.
If you want good Italian, Toscano provides excellent dishes.
First time out to eat since Covid-19. Great to see not much has changed and was a very nice Fathers Day diner.
We love Toscano and especially Joe, ourselves awesome server.
Excellent food and service. We where so happy with our experience. We highly recommend this place to everyone. Every food item we had was excellent.
Great waiter. Food was good. Great experience
This place is a great place to watch a sunset and enjoy a chill evening.
They always do a great job and are very welcoming. The manager Amanda is warm and efficient. The patio is nice, the motorcycle /road traffic is a little distracting. Overall it’s always done well at Toscano!
Great food. Good drinks. Definitely coming back here again.
Toscano has managed to keep their food quality and service high while we come out of the pandemic. I was so happy to be seated and enjoy great food last night! I’ve been disappointed at two other local high end restaurants who couldn’t manage the numbers of customers with reservations and had food that wasn’t prepared well. It’s tough with the difficulty in finding employees and Toscano didn’t disappoint!
Had dinner for our anniversary. Everything was great, but the chef’s special Gnochi Sardi was superb. Will definitely be back again soon!
Good food - good service.
We were really excited to try this place. The reviews, menu and the appearance from outside seemed top notch. We were disappointed however. First it took an hour to receive our food. The food was quite bland in flavor. Only one in our party of six seemed to enjoy the food. We were placed in the busy garden that was very noisy. It was really difficult to carry on a conversation due to that three of us wear hearing aids. The service was okay. Our server was nice but didn't seem to care much about our meals taking so long. Tough luck for us on this visit.
We went here for my son's Graduation dinner. His favorite dish is Gnocchi, so he was excited to see that they serve this here. However, the portion was VERY SMALL compared to the other dishes that were ordered at the table and it was one of the more expensive dishes. The server may want to let people know that the portion for this dish is VERY SMALL for the price, especially when a growing teenager is ordering it.
Great location for larger groups! Love their outdoor atrium!
Great service and food
Really good food, price was fair, and service was great!
Our first time at Toscano. Amazing menu, well executed in presentation and quality. Our server was very knowledgable and helpful; however, he seemed a bit overwhelmed with too many tables to cover, as he lost our entree order and forgot to bring several items to our table. In his defense, there was a prom celebration going on that evening and the restaurant was really slammed.
We would definitely go again. Loved it.
Marvelous restaurant! Sevice was excellent as was the food. The dinner was not hot and had to be heated, however after that issuem was resolved, the experience was excellent! Choice of ambient music was noisy for us. We would have preferred a more relaxed classical or jazz genre. Overall, excellent. we will be back!
Good food, great ambiance, and great service. The only reason I didn’t give the food a five-star was because the potato croquette appetizer was too salty, and the key lime tart was pretty bland. On the favorable side, I highly recommend the gnocchi with the pepper cream sauce. The veal saltimboca was cooked to perfection, and very tasty.
This is a very good restaurant, and one of the better ones in Utah.
Its always delicious and has great specials!! We had a special and it was delicious last night!
