My second visit at Toscana49 recently ,and it was excellent Great Restaurant..
It was the first time In Toscana49 and I had a wonderful experience .The ravioli was really good and the service was excellent.
What an amazing restaurant. It was my first time there & my wife & I were completely blown away at the simplicity of the restaurant & the high quality of the ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant. We sat indoors & it was very safe & friendly. The owner & staff go above & beyond to make their guests feel comfortable. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner & we will definitely be back!
A wonderful late Sunday lunch..My favorite Italian restaurant in Manhattan.
It has been a while since I had dinner in Toscana 49 do to Covid 19 look down,I am glad to come back and see this wonderful restaurant still in business. They have great food and excellent service.
Sadly, after sending back my steak once because it was overcooked, they returned a new steak to me that was raw and cold on the inside, clearly rushing a new steak out to me that had not been thawed from frozen. At its most raw, the steak was downright cold. I did not have either the interest or time to send it back again, so I ate around the raw part. I do not have much patience for restaurants who have a $38 mediocre steak on the menu, being the most expensive item on the entire menu, but then cannot cook it perfectly. The service staff was very nice and poured a little wine into all three of our glasses, but I would not recommend this restaurant, nor would I go back to it again. It's a shame - New York City needs everyone to try their hardest to rebuild the atmosphere in Midtown, but alas some restaurants that have survived this long may not survive in the long term. Toscana 49 is forgettable, mediocre in my experience, and might not be around very much longer if it can't step up every time and deliver an outstanding customer experience. I hope I was the exception, but I doubt it.
Given the circumstances of eating outside (no ambiance) it was a great meal. Very good Italian offerings - especially the home made pasta.
Appetizers were good but really not impressed with main courses. Not Italian for sure, my pasta came swimming in fat and oil. I think it’s way overpriced for the food you get.
Amazing service!!!! Would recommend and would def come back!
Given the Covid-19 restrictions, Toscana 49 has risen to the occasion with comfortable outdoor dining. They have done all they can do to make a diner feel safe with Plexiglas between tables and appropriate distancing. The service and food are as ever -- attentive and excellent. Toscana 49 is succeeding during these difficult times.
Always a pleasure to visit Toscana 49.
Menu has all that you need
Staff are helpful and cheerful
No problem eating in the street with what is going on. One dish was very good but the pasta dish was too lemonly to eat. The vodka tonic cocktail was missing the vodka.
Wonderful food and great service, even through an epic rain storm!
If you are looking for true and authentic homemade pasta, this is the place to come and enjoy it.
We enjoyed a delicious meal from appetizers to dessert and coffee on Saturday evening. We sat outside with a gentle breeze and views of the sunset. The service was excellent, just like the food. We will be back again soon.
Great experience. The outdoor seating is set up well and the food is amazing and a great value. Highly recommended!
A welcoming environment, sustained by attentive servers and accompanying well-prepared and presented Italian dishes.
Great little find food was great and the staff friendly and very attentive would go back next time in NY
We had a group of 8 people celebrating a family birthday. The outstanding service was topped only by the incredible meals we all had.
My main concern with ALL restaurants, including this one, is the placement of menus on napkins, plates and silverware. The menus are filthy, handled by hundreds of diners. Need I say more? Even in the best of times, this horrible tradition is unhealthy but with the coronavirus, restaurants have to wake up
A place definitely worth going back to--thoroughly enjoyed
A wonderful Sunday dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant Loved the food and service.
We came in at a busy point, so being small table, we were a bit ignored in the beginning.
We sat at a table missing a fork, we ordered a salad to share as first course, and no one came back to check on us, so we ate the salad sharing a fork. Luckily we are married and able to do this. We were served more by the server assistants than the actual server. Husbands drink ran empty and we had to ask for another, rather than being offered. Basic service touch points lacked. While the Manager/owner sat at the bar laughing with the team..
Only one complaint..my friend ordered Jack Daniels, which is all she ever drinks, & after two times, she was told it was JD but she insisted it was not!!
Went for a quick lunch during work with a friend -- absolutely loved it. The mozzarella is phenomenal! Definitely would come back.
All was great. We arrived early and we were only a few, therefore, not much noise. Around 1 pm it got crowded and noisy. Food was very good! We had spaghetti and calamari
Very attentive. Great food. When I got the bill I checked for a mistake since I thought it would be higher. Great Manhattan choice for value.
Was at Toscana 49 for a business lunch - it's a quaint midtown restaurant, service was impeccable. I had the Caesar Salad (delicious) and homemade fettuccine bolognese - was amazing!
Our favorite NYC Italian restaurant
Great attentive waiter and good quality food.
Great service, warm friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, generous quality portions.
Looked it up on open table. Picked it as it was close to where we were staying....it turned out good. Food was good and service polite.
We went there with my wife and kids. We didn’t feel really welcome by the staff even though our kids stayed very calm and quiet. Food was overall pretty good.
We met some friends from Europe who were staying in the neighborhood. We were seated immediately in a nice section by the wine wall. The servers were gracious though the server refilling water was a bit overzealous; he frequently interrupted our conversations to reach over to refill a glass that was still half full. The salads and soup came our quickly and the entrees — mostly pastas — were not far behind. One of us had the grilled calamari and said it was perfect. The rest of us had lasagna, ravioli, or linguini. All were delicious and in perfect portions — no leftovers. I wish the table bread was a bit better. We had coffee and dessert and were done in about 2 1/2 hours. We didn’t feel rushed but did feel that we were not comfortable lingering to talk.
Very good service and delicious food . I always enjoy diner here !
Very good as always ,my favorite restaurant. I had the lasagna this time and it was delicious,it remind me the Italian vacation in Bologna.
Very attentive staff and good food, nicely presented. Unfortunately it was louder than expected.
Excellent restaurant .My favorite Italian,I enjoyed very much the piccata di vitello and the super toscan wine by the glass.Wonderful service and atmosphere.
