Tosca Ratings and Reviews
Great cozy atmosphere. Wine menu is outstanding. Appetizers were delicious. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the wild boar bolognese and it was very rich and tasty. Lemoncelo and creamed brûlée for dessert! Oh and don't forget the chocolate cherry bread they served with our wine. Perfect meal . Thank you..
My experience at Tosca in Hingham Mass was as follows: no appearance of the restaurant is very pretty it's and Extremely Loud for upscale classy fine dining. A bit different from the website photographs. The food was delicious I would definitely recommend it for the value of the food only. However the first service experience we receive displeased myself and my husband. my waiter was very unattentive. Hourglass line was removed from the table and I'll wait wait or did not ask us if we would want wine for dinner. I had to ask him to bring by the wine glass in the wine list and another waiter that was waiting at another table with the direction I think the manager of the restaurant brought us bread .I had to ask for a bag to bring home my leftovers. The service can be much better but the food is delicious
Loved the ambiance there, thought they had live music and found out it was the Sonos system, great music selections and clarity. We were fortunate enough to get two seats at the saute/open kitchen bar, it was fun to see the chefs prepare the dinners and to get a look at future meals to order. Pizza looked great! We arrived two hours before our reservation in hopes of having a drink or two at the bar before dinner unfortunately there was no turnover so we stood in the bar area and had a couple of drinks. Food and service were great! Menu was a bit pricey but we knew this going in so we weren't shocked. We look forward to coming back and trying some other dinner options.
Long wait for food and even had to ask for bread
Livers were in a pool of sauce and too many raisins. Couldn't hardly find the livers
My fish tasted and smelled funny so I didn't eat it. My family were already eating so I didn't want to wait for anything else
Coffee was cold
Server never came back to check with us or thank us for the tip which was 20%
Will not return
Calamari appetizer was excellent. We both had steaks; my husband ordered medium rare and his was a bit overcooked. I ordered rare a d it was fine. Both had asparagus which was very woody, didn't eat most of it. Food appeared very quickly. Server did not offer any specials but i coukd see/hear other waitstaff goo g over the specials with neighboring tables. Server not rude, but nor was he outgoing or friendly.
We were 15 minutes early for our 7:30 reservation. We finally were sat at 8pm, even with reservations. Not a good start. We had the oysters & liver & onions for an app. Both were delicious. Then we both decided to order a strip steak with asparagus & whipped potatoes for sides. The steak is priced the same as places like Abe & Louis or Del Friscos, however the quality was no where near the same. It was very grisly & fatty. Overall, we were both highly disappointed and thought it was way overpriced for what you get. The one bright spot of the night was our server. She was amazing.
I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday because it is his favorite restaurant and I can see why. The food and service were outstanding. It was noisey and a little dark but overall the atmosphere was great. Our waitress was excellent. She was friendly and attentive. I would definately recommend Tosca to anyone and will definately go back.
This was an early New Years Eve dinner. As always- the service provided by our server Andrea was flawless. Friendly, all courses well timed and responsive to every request. The food was so well prepared- every bite was delicious. Tosca remains our all time favorite.
I made reservations a few weeks ago for an early New Years Eve dinner. Our table was horrible, right next to where people were standing at the bar. Waitvstaff had trouble getting by and we constantly had people’s butts in our face. The noise level was outrageous. Food was good but way over seasoned. On a positive note, out waitress Jessica was wonderful
