Had another great dinner at Tosca. We were there on a Saturday night and the place was hopping but we were seated within a couple of minutes of our reservation. We had our usual appetizers which are always fabulous, oysters and the liver and onions. For main course my brother had the venison which he said was perfect and I had the wood grilled salmon also delicious. You can’t go wrong at Tosca. We come here a lot and have never been disappointed.

Food was phenomenal.
Our server, Andrea, is our favorite and she made our anniversary dinner extra special.

The fresher baked cookies for dessert were horrible. Not only were they not fresh, but they were tasteless. We placed two orders to go and were disappointed.

This was our second trip to Tosca, and somehow it exceeded my expectations yet again. The filet was incredible, as was the box of shrimp, the mashed potatoes, and the wonderful duck dish. My wife loved it and since it was her birthday, that made me very happy as well.

Tosca is in our neighborhood and is a consistent “go-to” restaurant when we want a pleasant atmosphere, solid menu options and first-rate wine choices. Waiters are well informed and responsive. Host/hostess service is inconsistent in terms of being accommodating.

Food was good but not great. Main meal brought to the table while we were eating salad - no no. Especially since we had asked that they wait until we were done with salad before bringing meal. Not sure but think it may have waited under heat lamp after we told them we weren’t ready. For the price they should have done better. Still the most beautiful and festive place I have ever seen - a victim of their own success!

Another great meal at Tosca, service was impeccable and the food was outstanding . It's nice to be able to have a restaurant on this level without going into the city.

Great food and wonderful service...always enjoy Tosca. Restaurant was busy but acoustics made it possible for my husband and I to talk without difficulty. Service was friendly without being intrusive. They made dessert special for our anniversary. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We probably visit a few times a year. It's a little expensive but well worth it. The food is always very good. Go early as the noise level picks up around 8 PM.

Tosca is a very attractive room with consistently good food and exceptional service. However, it is unreasonably expensive. There are other restaurants in the area that are just as good, at a much lower price point. Dinner for two for $220 is a bit out there. The noise level is troublesome as well - you almost can't have a conversation - the room's acoustics are not set up for quiet dining and the tables are crammed together as well. So, while the food is great every time we go, the ambiance and price point won't ever make it my "go to" place.

Get Mezcal behind the Bar. Disappointing that your bar staff was not familiar with many requested drinks...I really shouldn’t have to tell a bartender how to make a drink.

From the time we placed our entree to when we actually received the meal (steaks) it was over 50 minutes and this was early in the evening (the restaurant was not packed). The waitress came to the table a couple times and asked if we needed anything , when we inquired what was taking so long, she did not seem concerned. When the food finally arrived (after at least 50 minutes) the steaks arrived luke warm at best. We were all hungary so we just accepted the food since we did not want to wait any longer.

Terrific Restaurant with nice ambiance.
We had wonderful service, great food and a very professional Server that was very patient, informative and attentive.
We traveled just over an hour to meet friends and it was worth the trip.
The prices are a bit on the high side but the quality of food and attention to detail make it a great value.
We are looking forward to eating there again.

It was prompt and busy which is enjoyable to have an atmosphere - two of us have 8oz filets at $41, without a side. They were both a bit crisp on the outside... which was a tad disappointing as it takes on a whole different flavor. $82 down the drain.

It had been a while since I’ve been to Tosca. It was worth the trip back. My husband had the pork with risotto. He really enjoyed it. I had the duck. It was a bit tough, but still good. A little sauce would have enhanced the dish, especially with the bread pudding side dish. The highlight of the evening was the roasted mushroom pate that we had as a first course. Outstanding! We will be back soon.

We have gone to Tosca's once or twice a year for ages now. It is an established restaurant with a varied menu and consistently good service. Usually we come home from Tosca completely satisfied but occasionally we find a flaw that is unexpected in such a fine establishment. This past visit was such an occasion. I ordered the sirloin from the special butcher's menu: meaning it was a bit pricy but promised to be high grade as well. While the steak was tasty, there were several bites of tough waste that needed to be placed back on the plate. I was able to "go with the flow" and not let it spoil an otherwise perfect night, but will remember not to order beef again. Everything else contributed to our usual flawless experience.

Given the hype, prices and reviews, this dining experience was very disappointing. Presentation of food is very amateurish. Also, the portion sizes are all over the place. The liver and onions appetizer was massive, split two ways it was still an appetite killer. The half portion of ravioli has only four ravioli for $17. The full size is $32 and has 8. Ridiculous price for ravioli even by NY standards. (Beef cheek ravioli with black truffles and squab liver at Babbo in NYC is $25) On the other hand, I had the half portion of Zucca, which was very good but the portion was such that I couldn't finish it. The biggest disappointment was the balsamic pork tenderloin. If you're expecting tender medallions of pork tenderloin you will be wrong. This was bafflingly thin shaved slices of pork served over cooked and doused in a confusing and complicated yet flavorless blend of ingredients, just a criminal thing to do to a piece of meat. The swordfish looked very good. The bread is also fantastic. Overall, disappointing. Perhaps the good people at Zagat should rethink that 4.7 rating.

Great food. I like a louder atmosphere because it's more lively and then everybody isn't listening to your conversation. The Bootleg 02043 martini is to die for and the food never misses… even the pizzas.

My wife and I have to go here every couple of years just to remind ourselves why we don't eat here more often. The food is fantastic and the service has been great, but what kills it for us is the unbearable noise level. It is very difficult to have a conversation, even when the restaurant isn't filled to capacity. I assume management doesn't care because it has been this way for the 10 years we have been going. I guess Ill see you in 2019.
