Located at 100 Chopin Plaza, Toro Toro is celebrated chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s creative Pan-Latin interpretation of a contemporary steakhouse. This sophisticated and sexy concept is modeled after Sandoval’s Dubai Toro Toro, which was named “Best Latin” and “Best New Restaurant” by Time Out. The restaurant’s selection of meats, carved tableside rodizio-style, along with an array of small plates, composed main-plates and a la carte steaks draws foodies while Toro Toro’s buzz-worthy bar, emphasizing Latin-inspired cocktails made with ultra-premium Latin spirits and a well-curated collection of fine wines from around the world, draws the cocktail crowd.

Matej was our waiter and he provided such warm and wonderful service! The food was tasty and we all felt full after eating a series of appetizers, sides and dishes Matej suggested. Loved the empanadas de choclo! The music playing in the bar area and the live violin player was amazing! However, it did make conversation a bit difficult, even in the back. But we were certainly able to chat more than folks up front... one complaint: they put bacon in everything! After accidentally tasting a piece in my guac (!?!?) Matej removed it from the guac, brussels and mac and cheese - much better! (I stopped eating pork at 9, and it makes me sick! We also had several vegetarians who struggled to find acceptable dishes.)

Waited 25 min to see a waitress at bar. Stayed for dinner as we had reservations. Not much better service. Bill includes 18% service charge maybe that’s why. Food was good but does not compare to Trulucks or Capital Grille. Sides are small. You will pay dearly for food / drinks AND $20 for valet.

Came in for dinner on vacation. Found great reviews about Toro Toro and wanted to check it out. As foodies, there was a ton of options for us to choose from. We ordered a few apps and drinks to start, which were delicious. For dinner, we ordered the option of several meats along with two sides. The steak was amazing and the chicken was juicy with a ton of flavor. The other protein options were yummy as well. We ate too much because it was that enjoyable.

One thing we noticed was that a manager never stopped by to check in and see how we were, which seems weird for the caliber of the restaurant. The other thing we found odd was when the server dropped out check, she never said thank you or invited us back next time we were in town. We would come back again because overall, the food was worth it.

On the lunch menu, the food is outstanding, beautifully prepared, with great variety, and you get just enough of it. Favorites: roast broccolini, beet salad, garlicky shrimp skewer. Loved the little glass of cakey-moussey dessert.

Judging for the hostess attitude and face you can tell there is something wrong on the atmosphere of this restaurant. Going to the table my wife slipped and almost felt completely to the floor due to oil or wax on the . She got a muscle distension and we had to go to the doctor. The hostess looked at her falling down not only without offering any to help but don't even asking : are you alright? ...
Food portions are minimal and a way, way overpriced. We didn't like at all the hamachi tiradito and the Wagyu Matador Tartare for which adding an extra piece they charged us $ 8 for a bite. Croquettes, Chiccharron de Camarones and Pork belly were good but again minimal. As a main we shared a churrasco platter for $ 59! not bad but nothing out of the ordinary and to finalize bomba as desert . An all the time loud music DJ like, Martinis for $ 16, 18% gratuity added automatically to the table although we were with empty dishes for more than 45 mins. All of that? $ 359 but this is the weird besides the gratuity thy charged us $ 29.67 on taxes(unspecified) which doesn't match the Florida 7% sales tax...
In a few words the apparently good reviews of this restaurant make me believe people expectations are down to the floor. Won't come back, can't recommend.

The location is great, with a wonderful view, the food is great, with a nice variety of choices, the service is excellent. It's a little pricey for the buffet lunch ($27 per person) but for special occasions it's great. There's sangria and white wine available along with hot entrees and various cold salads and vegetables. I don't drink wine, so I think a price of $20 for lunch would be more feasible, but for people who aren't on a limited budget, it's well worth it.

We had an awesome experience. Carlos gave us an A+ service. I have never felt so good about the service in a restaurant like in Toro Toro. He was very special. The food was good. The pichana was dry and did not have salt. Everything else was perfect. The best part was the dessert!!!!!!!!! La bomba exceeded my expectations!!! It was really nice and delicious. I still can't believe they didn't charge us for it since it was my boyfriend's birthday. I would recommend this place, and I will be definitely coming back!

Everything started out great. The hostess was friendly and we were accommodated when we had some last minute editions to our party. Our waiter was also friendly and knowledgeable, but we saw him probably 3 times for the full two hours we were there. The taco lunch was not worth the money, and the beer selection was self serve with inconsistent options to choose from. Pretty sure our waiter never cared to check on us because he knew he was getting the automatic 18 percent gratuity with how large our group was. My friends and I will not be returning.

We chose Toro Toro because it was convenient for us. Parking nearby was available. And it is near the waterfront where you can take a stroll before or afterwards. This restaurant was within the Miami Intercontinental. Traditionally, we don't usually eat in a hotel restaurant, but as I said earlier, it was just so convenient for us for a last minute opentable reservation on a Monday night.
When we arrived, on the early side, there were scattered tables but by the time we left, the restaurant was 80% filled.
The food was excellent. We shared a delicious Cerviche as an appetizer. It was made with tuna, and had a poke feel to it, but with latin flavors of sweet potato and quinoa. We loved it. Our main was the Toro Toro, which was a platter of grilled meats, including , beef, lamb, chicken, chorizo with a choice of two vegetables which were grilled broccolini and plantains. Yum.
Dessert was a disapointment. It came late. But certainly not a reason, not to come back to this restaurant. Our server was excellent and helpful since we weren't familiar with the Latin menu or cuisine.
Be careful with the check. They include an 18% service charge and then mistakenly we added a great tip afterwards. By the time we came home, we realized we didn't look at the itemized charges.. So be it... It was a great night!

Sunday Brunch at Toro Toro is a must try! The selection of foods was amazing, with several stations spread throughout the dining area which allowed for a huge variety of options while keeping guests flowing rather than all lined up. Bottomless mimosas were tasty and constantly refilled by the staff. Overall excellent experience, and we will certainly be back again. Special thanks to our handsome waiter Carlos who took great care of us!

This is coming from me, as a Chef and restauranteur:

Always the place to bring friends for Tacos on Saturday or Brunch on Sunday. Adults are happy, kids are happy. This weekend no champagne cause of ultra, but otherwise at nice touch. We go 2-3 times per month for combination of brunch or tacos. Waitstaff is always on point and any suggestions made about the food are always received professionally and addressed. Bananas foster needed help this weekend. Pointed it out, staff resolved immediately. We will keep coming back. If this was my place I would be very happy with my place and staff!!! Thanks for having one of the few places in Miami with consistently great food and service.
