Great restaurant! Sushi was outstanding! The La Bomba dessert was amazing! I highly suggest trying it. Overall wonderful!
Hot in the summer. The vast expanse of windows makes for lovely scenery-- but it felt so ridiculously hot in there I was sweating. And I am a female that actually doesn't sweat easily! :) The Hawaiian Mai Tai helped me cool down, however, and let me just tell you-- the drink list makes you feel as though you're on vacation! I would have tried all of their specialty cocktails if I could...!!! Alana, our server, was the epitome of fast, attentive and kind. The ceviche and sushi is fresh and wonderful. We love Toro...my only recommendation for them is to install some motorized blinds so it's not so sweltering in our insanely hot summers.
World class food and service I be would highly recommend this to anyone that likes Japanese and Peruvian food
food was great - no bad item on the menu, wait staff was great and super attentive, no complaints, would recommend this restaurant to all!
Great ambiance and food was excellent. Highly recommend if in the area.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. The food and drinks were all delicious.
Took a while to receive initial service but was good after that! Food was good but not what we expected for latin cuisine. Brunch was much better than dinner!
It was great! We loved it and will be back soon with the rest of the family
Tasty food but overpriced for portion size and lack of sides to go with meal
Some of the food we love but the prices have really escalated. Order a shrimp appetizer that was ok, had 3 shrimp (kind o small) that was $18.95. The presentation was very nice but definitely not worth the price.
Great service!!!!! Beautiful ambiance with a golf course view!
Excellent service from Brittany. Food selections were fresh and on trend. Cocktails were well prepared and attractively presented. The views of the golf course are spectacular. Very nice experience.
Our server was great.
Aaaaamazing food. Stunning service, great view. If you like Mac and cheese the pork belly Mac may be the best ever. Staff was attentive, excited about food and non-intrusive. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
Wonderful restaurant! Service was excellent. I had a lunch reservation, but really wanted an item of the dinner menu. They were able to accommodate that without a problem. We also had a tight timeline that day, and they were able to accommodate us there as well.
Food was alright. Options limited. Serving sizes were small and not filling. Expensive just for the environment, not for the quality of food.
Good not great. Typical golf course club house. Menu was ok. Service was great.
We dined here while staying at the Fairmont Princess. We have tried all property restaurants and this was the only one we for sure won’t be back to. The food options were minimal and nothing tasted good. Slim bar menu and minimal liquors (very entry level) and drink choices. They were not accommodating with sides or substitutions for any diet type (gluten free, keto, etc.) The service wasn’t terrible but was less then accommodating.
Vacation, first one since COVID
had a couple very good sushi rolls and also the scallops with pork belly, the scallops didnt get cleaned enough and had some sand in them.. besides that everything was great
Toro is Always one of my best dining experiences!!!!
Great lunch and vibes. Beautiful view and service.
The service was great at Toro - staff was all very friendly. The patio seating overlooks the green and the restaurant wasn't busy so it was fairly quiet. The food was underwhelming. We sampled sushi, appetizers and desert. The ceviche and the churros were the best of the meal. The guests were a hodge-podge of dressed up date night to families who looked like they came straight from golf and the pool. If you are looking for an upscale restaurant, I would recommend another place. It's a nice hotel restaurant with decent food but not what I expected for the claims online and the pricing.
My daughter chose this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. Hostess, wait staff, everyone was very kind and attentive. Food was amazing- five different dishes, plus many appetizers, were ordered and each one was fabulous. As delicious as it was, I can’t help but feel it’s a little overpriced. We will, however, still return for special occasions.
Felt a little rushed with our dinner.
So, they advertise latin restaurant and rum bar. Rum drinks were like poolside frozen rum drinks. No rum flights. Very little options for latin food. Wine selection horrible. Chose a Malbec which should be good at Latin restaurant. It was not good. Could not even finish. Also, they offer sushi on menu. Really? Sushi and latin food? Come on guys! Figure out what cuisine you want to offer and stick to that cuisine. However, we were told this restaurant was once called the grill. Much better name for having that variety. Don’t fool customers in thinking they are dining at latin restaurant
My wife and I went to Toro to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary last night. We had been there several times before and have always enjoyed the food. This time, we also wanted a quieter evening to celebrate. I informed Toro of the occassion when I made the reservation.
We were shown to our table by the hostess and very soon thereafter, a bottle of wine appeared and the waiter said "happy anniversary". I said thanks and thought that was a lovely gesture from the restaurant. However, it was a gift from one of our daughters and she had instructed Toro to tell us that the wine was from her. Ooops.
We ordered our appetizer and were having a great evening together and talking. A group of 5 people was then seated next to us. I knew we were in trouble as soon as they were seated. They had already been having several drinks before they came into the dinning room. After a bit, my wife went over to their table and asked if they could please not be so loud. Her request fell on deaf ears.
We did enjoy our food, but the ambiance was destroyed. The group was by far the loudest group in the restaurant and management did not seem willing or capable of knowing how to deal with their disruption of everyone elses evening.
Was great, different style of cooking
Waitress was very accommodating to my family (with two little kids). Food was great and atmosphere was super relaxing. Top shelf service.
We went to Toro for Mother’s Day brunch. We enjoyed the brunch menu, food was very good, service and views of the TPC golf course were great.
We had an exceptional experience at Toro for Mother’s Day! It was wonderful service, views, drinks and the food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
Mother’s Day brunch was the usual brunch menu which isn’t large but was delicious. Service was good. Will definitely go back
Great service and great food! Will definitely be back!
Food was good.
Wow what a wonderful experience. Best part of my 21st birthday! Thank you so much to the employees and Toro! you made my birthday so special
Server was outstanding. Ceviche was delicious. Sea Bass and Salmon were unique and wonderful.
Pros: Our server was fantastic. The view of the golf course from this restaurant is pretty, and it is fun to watch the golfers as they finish on the 18th hole.
Cons: The biggest food challenge is that one of our family members has a gluten allergy. There is no entree on this menu that was noted as gluten free, and just two items on the appetizer menu were gluten free. That family member ended up having ice cream and an apple for dinner because she is also allergic to seafood.
The other issue that I did not realize when I booked the reservation is that this restaurant is not located on the main Fairmont Princess hotel property, and requires either driving your own car over or taking the shuttle from the lobby (otherwise it would have been a 27 minute walk though the golf course from our room, which probably is not even allowed). Our Fairmont gold room was literally a one mile round trip walk from the lobby, which is not awesome in heels. We waited for the shuttle about 10 minutes in both directions.
We at at Toro for dinner twice and once for brunch last week. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We enjoyed the view of the golf course. We look forward to going back.
Our table was ready upon arrival. We were seated at a high top on the patio with a great view. Our Server was friendly and knowledgeable. She made drink and food recommendations. I will be back!
