Arnaldo y la Bomba! What an experience! La Bomba is a dessert but it takes you on a journey. Highly recommend ordering it. Everything else was great, too, but that was the highlight!
This is is great place for young people to go and enjoy a reasonably priced meal with great service. If you are looking for excellent cocktails, stellar ambiance and a peaceful setting, you will be disappointed. Toro is overrated. The food was acceptable but could be improved. Cocktails not on the rum bar menu were terrible and it was so loud that even someone who enjoys a lively and energetic ambiance could not wait to leave. The best part was our fantastic waiter. Kudos to him.
Had a great time for an anniversary dinner. The surf and turf sushi roll is coming to their menu soon but we got it as a special, it is AMAZING! They got a new chef and they said they’re getting a new menu soon but it wasn’t needed. The food was great, service and explanations of everything was fabulous, but drink prices a little high for what you get. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I dined here tonight after settling into the Princess today. We had an unbelievable experience. We dined outside on the patio and Sergio was our waiter. Upon greeting us, he asked if we were celebrating anything and we let him know it was our anniversary. He provided us complimentary champagne and dessert. We enjoyed two different sushi rolls as well as a shrimp appetizer as well. The food was delicious, the ambience was perfect, but best of all, service was top notch because of Sergio. Thanks for an incredible evening!
We came back to Toro for my birthday, for so many reasons. It’s really one of our most favorite restaurants in the city. The atmosphere is tough to beat, with a view of 18 on the TPC Championship Course. The service is always perfect - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and part of the experience. I don’t usually drink rum, but I love experimenting with it at Toro. The servers are always happy to make suggestions, and I’ve purchased more than one bottle for home use after trying it at the restaurant. Then there’s the food. We’ve never had a bad plate at Toro. The food is unique and always prepared on-point, regardless of what you order. There are multiple sushi offering, a great list of appetizers, and several creative entrees that you won’t see anywhere else. We always seem to get the burger, in addition to other dishes. But it’s La Bomba, the dessert that makes my kids beg to eat at Toro. A large chocolate sphere filled with ice cream, cake, fruit, sherbet and other delicious pieces, smashed on the table, and eaten with spoons by the entire group. It’s fantastic. We’ve had dinner, brunch, and lunch, and they are all spectacular.
Great food and view! Love going to Toro!
Great ambiance, scenery, service and overall decor. Bone in short rib was outstanding, the rib eye was overpriced for quality and size but we still enjoyed it (A $50 steak should be one of the best one has ever
Had) Drinks are
Probably a bit overpriced .
Amazing drinks and wonderful sushi in a great setting!
Limited food options, great views
Food was so delicious, we had a great view to the golf course, amazing service, very professional and attentive staff… looking forward to go back again 🙏
Food was delicious, service was wonderful, highly recommend the place
Amazing food and service! I went with my fiancé for date night, we both had an amazing time. Our server Nick was so attendant and friendly! The supervisor Josie also did a great job coming by to welcome us and check on us throughout the night. The food was to die for and we'll definitely return soon. Everyone was so friendly, we couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you so much to Josie and Nick for helping us celebrate tonight!
Our server was outstanding, very attentive and responsive. The ambiance and view was beautiful. What fell short for me, was the price for the quality of the food. My $24 dollar hamburger was nothing special, in fact, I kept getting hard pieces of something in the meat.
The fried rice was again, nothing special nor would we ever order it again. The Brazilian steak with blistered peppers was flavorful, but just a sirloin cut of beef.
Drink and food over prices for the quality. Restaurant was too loud with the bar right next to our table.
I might make a reservation on the patio when the weather cools down, however, not anxious to get back anytime soon.
A bustling place that's also got plenty of elbow room -- so nice to see people enjoying themselves and feel safe at the same time. Yummy food, as always (esp. the calamari), and a delightful server, Hanna, made for a lovely birthday evening.
Love this place for brunch, lunch and dinner! Great ambiance and super nice staff!
Pretty good view. Felt like the railing was right in our site line. Food and drinks were amazing. Staff was great!
Absolutely delightful dining experience!! Professional and courteous staff!
EXCELLENT service! Sushi is tasty especially shrimp rolls. Steak Picana was excellent, potatoes were delicious. You g lady who served us (blond short hair) was exceptional. Calamari is outstanding.
This was our 1st trip to Toro. the location is spectacular--overlooking the TPC golf course. Our waiter, Sergio, was fun. the food was very good - out of the 4 of us, these are the dishes we ordered: fried rice, scallops & pork belly, and steak. all were excellent. the only shortfall of the evening was the table we were seated at. it was located around the far corner & looked over the parking lot. we asked for a table w/ a better view, but none were available. I wonder -- if you answer their question about whether or not you are a guest at the Princess -- do you get a better table??
My wife and I had an amazing evening at Toro. Our server Brittany was on point and the view over the patio onto the fairway was wonderful as the sunset. The food and drinks were all exemplary as well. We tried the Crunchy Shrimp rolls, Parmesean Crusted Scallops and Brazilian Picanha Steak. We shared all three items paired with one of thier specialty rum cocktails and a Chilean Cab. The only dig we can make is that it was not clear when we booked that the restaurant was not actually connected to the main lobby of the Fairmont Princess, instead was in the clubhouse at the golf course 0.5miles away. Luckily the valet at the hotel offered directions to the correct location before we gave them our car. Overall we would visit again.
What an impeccable experience at Toro! Beautiful view, great food and wonderful service. We were visiting from San Diego and met with a dear friend who's an AZ resident now. We were also celebrating our wedding anniversary that week. Our server Nick was amazing. So personable, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant itself. HUGE kudos to Nick! He truly made our experience even more special. Many thanks!
Minus them not having La Bomba it was amazing !! Best banana daiquiri I’ve ever had!
My wife and I had an amazing dinner and experience at Toro this weekend for the 2nd time. We were served by Hannah, who was incredibly sweet and personable the entire night. We drank delicious run cocktails starting with their original Mai Tai and the "Zombie". The presentation for both were very tiki, upscale and fun. For dinner we had the angry tuna sushi roll, which was one of the best rolls either of us had tasted in our lives - no joke. For the entree, we shared the Sea-bass and the Crusted Scallops. Both were amazing and we were perfectly stuffed afterwards. We can't wait to eat at Toro again the next time we do a staycation at the Princess. Thank you Toro!
Yummy food, served on a beautiful patio. Mister fans and ambient lighting make it pleasant even on a warm night. Our waiter was great, however, he was covering a lot of tables, so expect a leisurely dinner.
We went for happy hour. When we got sat there was no happy hour menu. After asking we were advised that we had to sit near the bar to get happy hour prices. They served the full price versions at the regular tables.
So we got moved across the restaurant. The food was very good as far a bar food goes. We got carne asada fries and street tacos carnitas. They were amazing.
The amount of food was decent. The drinks were good.
Service was mediocre.
I didn't like how the golfer's needs were catered to, but the happy hour folks were shoved in a corner to eat.
Noise level ok but there were only a few people there.
Ambiance was indifferent, nothing special about this place
Wonderful food. The best empanadas ever!!!
The La Bomba dessert was Amazing!!!! We also loved the Sushi too! I'd recommend sushi with sweet plantain.
The cocktails were great. The food, was a 4 of 10. We are CIA chefs and instructors. You will either love the food or not, no middle ground. Maybe why the cocktails are so good…🤨
Adrian is one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere. Top notch guy. Food and ambiance was awesome. Amazing and friendly hostess as well. What a great time. We will be back again soon.
The food at Toro was excellent - we had sushi, mexican salmon tacos and shrimp ceviche, all as sharing plates. Our server, Mike, was great and extremely accommodating of our children.
We had brunch and dinner at this restaurant we loved it all! The food quality is superb and the service was also amazing. The staff was so kind and accommodating. All of the food was so good. Really good portion sizes, excellent presentation, amazing flavors, and the kids meals were also excellent. I am super picky about kids meals and loved that their meals were also high quality food.
48 th wedding anniversary. Told them on booking. Thought there were be a special deserts or something. Restaurant knew it was anniversary and mentioned it at check in and when waitress first came to the table.
The food was very good. The portion of the Seabass of 3 ounces for $34 seemed a little small. A 3 ounce piece of fish and five muscles or over priced at $34.
The spicy salmon roll and our rum drinks were SO good.
The roll was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The drinks were tasty and fun.
Based on all that our taste buds were getting ready to be wowed with the entree.
Now I guess we share the blame- we shouldn’t have ordered the burger or the fried rice. The burger patty was bland and the bun/roll was not pleasant - it was a weird texture and there was too much of it. It almost seemed like a gluten free bread or something. The fries were fine. Nothing special. Anyway, steer clear.
The fried rice was described with multiple vegetables and five kinds of protein. So I was expecting a great combination of flavors. Instead it was just a brown flavor - a little umami but just kind of like greasy rice. Adding sriracha helped but I wouldn’t recommend this dish for flavors.
Service was fine.
Loved our experience! The food was amazing and service was wonderful! Can’t wait to come back!
We had a great experience! Our server was great!
Dinner options were not ideal for business / work occasion; more for a family gathering celebration.
However, the waitress was great and extremely attentive, and the desserts are a “must experience” (ask for the La Bomba).
The food was so yummy and our server Susan was so kind and helpful!
The Chilean Sea Bass was small portion and the mussels are hard to open. The dish was not described as with broth.
Not good at all..
the service is great we have good waiter and busboy ..
The manager didn’t come after we address to the waiter about our foods.
Nope 👎 will not go back or recommend to our friends.
The restaurant is very casual for the price and too many kids running around.
