Good food, great waitress, poor wine list and wine value. Wine was warm. Get a wine fridge for your reds!
Beautiful restaurant upon entering, lighting was great and bar and staff were awesome. Table was good location and server attentive and sweet. Calamari appetizer was great , fried jalapeños were great in the dish. We weren’t very hungry so only ordered another appetizer, ceviche. My girlfriend did not like, she doesn’t like baby shrimp and thought it’s taste was off. I wish the menu would expand a little but it is a wonderful spot.
Fantastic food, incredible service and a terrific setting. Best place we have been to yet!
We loved everything. Outside seating was perfect. They brought food out first for our toddler which was perfect. And the kids portions was way bigger than what we expected and was great for leftovers! Thank you! We loved everything.
Good food. Really enjoyed the street corn dish and the mac and cheese side/appetizer. Went later in the evening so there were less and less people in the restaurant which actually made social distancing a bit easier since it was a bit too windy to eat outside.
Very nice atmosphere in Toro, with a nice bar layout. My girlfriend had the best mojito ever at the bar. We got a table by the south windows, and had the calamari with jalapeño , which was delicious . My bone-in short rib was spectacular. I eat a lot of short ribs, and these were quite possibly the best ever.
The food was wonderful the ambience was wonderful and I would definitely go back there again💖👏
Service was exceptional. Sushi was awesome. Wish we would have been told up front that happy hour only applied to sitting at the bar since we made a resy during happy hour to sit outside but didn’t know the same items would be twice the price. They did let us move however which was appreciated.
Our server was very courteous and professional the food was very good
The entire experience was amazing. The service, the views, the ambiance, and the food. I’d highly recommend this place and I’ll be coming back for sure!
Great server, we had a good time. The corn empanadas were my favorite appetizer!
Excellent service and delicious meal.
We sat inside and had a view of the 18th fairway of the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course. The service was outstanding and everyone was pleased with their lunch. We had a great time.
I was very excited about eating here due to the reviews. However, I was disappointed in the food. We got the scallops, Mac n cheese, sea bass and braised short rib. I would only recommend the scallops as those were very good. However everything else was ‘okay’. Sea bass with muscles were overcooked. Service and ambiance were great though. Also, the cocktails were good. I would go back for maybe just drinks and apps and leave out the main courses.
Excellent views from their outdoor patio overlooking the golf course. Great brunch options. We celebrated my birthday there.
View from patio dining was a 10. We really enjoyed sitting there watching golfers play down below. The drinks also a 10. The nachos and steak tacos a 6 of 10. Nachos toppings although very tasty there wasn’t enough for the chips. The tacos were good but no longer warm when served. Service not great, server seemed busy elsewhere even tho only 6 tables going with at least two servers. Still it’s not all about the food so we really just blew off the stuff that didn’t work and enjoyed the patio and the company.
Amazing food and Wonderful service with a beautiful view! We had dinner here Saturday evening and met family for brunch Sunday!
Absolutely love this place. Such sweet staff!
Very expensive and really limited menu. It was our 3rd visit there, but our last. Great service, yet the food was middle road and expensive and drink cost is way out of reality. Simply overpriced and mediocre.
Excellent experience overall!!
First of all, we were seated at a table that half of us stared at a tv which is mounted on the bar. Yikes, no ambience for a New Years Eve EXPENSIVE meal. Then get this... we waited and waited 15 minutes for a waiter. Eventually, the general manager stops at our table and says “ sorry but your waiter is tied up with something else and we don’t know where he is” WTF. So, they have this guy behind the bar take our drink orders. He did not have the finesse to be a waiter. He was flustered and obviously stepping into a uncomfortable role. Horrible experience for our group of six people. Many of them first time visitors to Phoenix/Scottsdale and this property. This was the worst way I have spent my hard earned money in 40 years. All the issues were tragic at such a reputable property.
While this is one of our favorite restaurants, the service this time was inexcusable. Three tables were seated after we were and all three were waited on before our table. After complaining twice to the person responsible for seating, we were finally assigned a waiter, who was very accommodating. I guess every restaurant occasionally experiences a glitch.
Our server Mia was fabulous! Very knowledgeable w menu items and good recommendations! Staff was attentive and service was excellent!! My family loved surf and turf roll, calamari, ceviche and burger!! Normally vodka or gin drinkers but had to try the rum drinks which were delicious!! The view of the 18th hole was gorgeous!! Will definitely dine here next time in Scottsdale!! My granddaughter is a toddler and they were very accommodating w a booster seat and kid menu!!
Love the view, service was great!
Ate there for Christmas at princess felt food was not good value. Expensive and food was cold
We sat outside on the patio for dinner and they had a lot of heaters and it was very comfortable. We enjoyed the food, but it was very pricey for what we got (small portions). Service was excellent.
Service was great and food was delicious!
Met My Husband for Lunch after his round of golf. Restaurant located with a Beautiful View of The 18th Hole. Something on the Menu for Everyone from Breakfast Choices, Sandwiches, and Even Sushi. Great Service. Julio, the Bartender can make some Great Tiki Drinks too...Woohoo!
Excellent beef wellington special! Server was very attentive. Manager was right on the dropped knife lol. We'll be back :)
Christmas Eve dinner
Nick our server was excellent, he was enthusiastic about the menu and professional in every way!
Bone in short rib didn’t come with any significant sides, making it a one flavor dish. Portions were small, only the kids felt like they had enough to eat. The food was ok. For the price there are better options locally but it’s worth dining here for the great view of the 18th hole of TPC Scottsdale and the pleasant, unfussy service. PS La Bamba is a fun, memorable dessert so save some room.
Very nice place and good food. Very pricey though.
Outstanding food and outdoor atmosphere. Highly recommend.
My husband and I visited the restaurant on Christmas Eve and were extremely to try it out after hearing such rave reviews. The server made some suggestions and I opted to try the dish out. However, the dish contained shellfish unbeknownst to me. I almost went into anaphylactic shock after eating a few bites. Luckily for me, I always carry an epipen with me. You should ask if your guest has food allergies before suggesting a dish.
I absolutely love this place! The food and service was amazing! I will be back! The sea bass was perfectly cooked!
Usually I end my reviews with I WOULD go back or I WOULD recommend but this time it will be the beginning of my review.
The FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE!
Shrimp ceviche is to die for.
There was so many decisions but I ended up choosing the scallops and pork belly, I think those were the best that I’ve ever had anywhere. We also shared the big ribeye with street corn, and we had the Brazilian meet. We even through in a dessert.
Hunter the hostess, she i.s AMAZING!
Tim the mixologist made the best Passion fruit mules.
Hanna our amazing waitress was attentive, fun and Very professional. I unfortunately didn’t get the name of the young lady that dropped off our shrimp ceviche, she was wonderful.
Fernando (chef) where did he get his training?
Nicole, spoke with her on the phone and she was a delight.
Fabulous atmosphere, waiter was so professional and attentive, food was stupendous
We had to wait a long time to get drinks and when they came they were wrong two different times. Then the food came before any correct drinks... so the bartender said one round would be comped and none of it was comped and it was a $900 with a $180 tip because it was Christmastime but they need to get their act together. Server was very nice but not good.
Other than our server posting is no mind on my birthday ( hard time just getting water) the food was amazing. The waiter did bring out a dessert but never even asked what I might like. But the gesture was very nice. All in all I would most definitely go back for the food.
