Chef Sean knocked it out of the park tonight! The best Pakora, Hamachi Crudo, Lamb Ravioli and roasted CHW ken he has ever done! Delicious!!
Always good. Price fix menu amazing deal. Attentive staff
Torc is the best!! Always happy with everything prepared!
Just an overall bad experience. Service was awful. Food was fine. Be very aware of their cancellation policy. We tried to cancel about 12 hours in advance and they were going to charge us $35 per person, so we went and had terrible service!
A great addition to the Napa food offering. Creative French/Catalan food concept , well executed, metro ambience and team service.
Iberico Jamon and deviled eggs, how Spanish. Rigatoni with foie gras, wild boar and the best meyer lemon parfait on the planet. HIGHLY recommend a visit
Very tasty and creative cuisine. Great service. We were seated right next to the bar. Very rude and noisy. Also, the wine pours are ridiculous for the price. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.
It was a very off night. Food did not come out in a timely manner. Somm recommended wines that weren’t on the list and then walked away. Our waiter was not in a good mood and did not engage the table. For the prices they charge, they missed the mark.
Good food but great ambiance and very busy we waited for a long time for dessert
The food was good, the boar excellent, but the portion of halibut was very small for the price. The asparagus tempura starter was excellent, too, and the portion quite good for an appetizer. So, it's a mixed bag.
The beef short rib was way too over cooked. The service was almost as bad as the food. Plenty of other great places in Napa to ever come back to this one.
We were here for dinner before a show at the Uptown Theater. We opted for the prix fixe, with wine pairings, and it was worth every penny. The food was so good, and with the wine pairings the combination was sublime. We will be back! The only downside was that we were inclined to indulge in an after dinner drink, but the waiter brought our bill without asking, so we paid it and left...
Food was great, wine was great, service was SPOT ON! We were 15 minutes late (we called to let them know) and they were so sweet about it! I had a Grüner Veltliner with my Opah and it was everything I hoped it could be! :-)
We were recommended to try Torc by two different people. We wanted an upscale, romantic dinner. We were very happy to try Torc! The food was delicious & wine selection is superb. First we tried the green deviled eggs which were very good even though the green is off putting. My date had the short rib which was a touch dry but very good flavor. I had the lamb shoulder which was phenomenal! Then we had the lemon something can’t remember what it’s called. But it had lemon sorbet/shortcake/meringue/huckleberries and more in it! It was so fabulous! Really enjoyed our meal & it was great ambience for our romantic date.
Torc was recommended to us by our cousin who lives locally and said it’s the best restaurant in Napa-he was right!
Amazing food and ambiance all the way around. Will go back when I’m town-yum!
We had a great experience here. My partner was hoping for larger portions but it was the perfect amount for me. It was delish and the service was wonderful! Our entrees took a little longer than expected but I assume it was due to the large parties that came in a little after us. This place is beautiful and I love their decor.
I really like the ambiance of this restaurant when dining on the main floor. Service was good. Entree delicious - dessert disappointing.
Beautiful creative dinner from truffle grilled cheese to chocolate marquise. Attentive friendly service. Truly delightful: cannot wait to go back.
Very attractive restaurant with a great modern and tasteful feel. Mixed green salad was fresh with a wonderful light dressing. Pea risotto was to die for. Main dishes however were very disappointing. The duck with chorizo seemed forced and didn’t seem cohesive although the duck itself was good. Basic short ribs seemed dry and very bland. The meal started so strong but then fell flat. Such potential I hope the work on the entree’s.
Back truffle grilled cheese sandwich. Yes, do it ...
Everything was just fantastic, we went with whatever the chef decided! Every course perfect, really made the evening great.
We had heard about Torc’s wine pairing so made a reservation for our last night in Napa. We were not disappointed! Lovely decor, fantastic pairing!
My favorite restaurant in the Napa Valley ! Very creative -- the best of new American cuisine ! Chef is a genius !
Fantastic on every level. There are a lot of options in Napa, many of which we have tried but as far as we are concerned, this is the best.
Torc never disappoints and is always on point - from the lovely host remembering our favorite wine and table to the service and the innovative menu incorporating the seasons latest ingredients - this visit it was the Pea - the Veloute and the Risotto were divine👍
Excellent meal and overall experience. The staff was very attentive to our needs.
Delicious food. Great service.
We eat here every time we are in Napa Valley and it is consistently outstanding in every way. Skip those Michelin star restaurants and eat here twice instead! Chef O’Toole is very deserving of one, check it out if you are in town. 👍👍👍
Torc on Friday evening (6:30) was busy. The bar was full and loud. After 7:00 everyone left the bar scene and it quieted down. The Scallops were tender and wonderful. My husband however didn’t care for the duck. Overall the service was excellent and we’ll definitely return.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed a great meal with sever Gabe. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with friends. The aged rib-eye was the right choice paired with a special bottle of wine. I highly recommend Torc in Napa. Cant wait to visit again.
Well worth it. Very good service and wine list. Great food
Really good food had the price fix meal with wine pairing. Also had the jamon iberica, fantastic!
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful.
Amazing menu! Every aspect of the restaurant was wonderful! Will definitely return as the inventive menu, attentive service and ambiance were superb.
Always a great experience at Torc! Service, food, ambiance is always 100% the best in town. I look forward to many more delicious visits to Torc.
We had a great dinner at Torq. This was our first time in Napa and we had heard great things about this place - and it didn’t disappoint. The Mac and cheese is on point and there are options for carnivores and vegetarians alike.
Had another wonderful meal with friends at Torc. They are presently featuring shaved truffles as an addition to several dishes and they are very much worth splurging on. I also had the lemon dessert and it is one of the best desserts I have ever had.
The food was fantastic as was the service! We had the Hamachi crudo, which was served differently than everywhere else-kudos on flavor and creativity. The duck was amazing, although the churizo on the plate was frightening (they assured us it was cooked, but mine didn’t look like it was. I skipped it to be safe). My dining partners was much more cooked over mine. Desert options abound, you cannot go wrong. We brought a bottle and took advantage of the no corkage if you buy a bottle on the (amazing) wine list.
Torc was a "split decision" all the way. What was good was very good. What was bad, was horrid. Spouse was successful in this culinary minefield; my meal blew up in a sad waste of good ingredients. The good: pasta w/foie gras velouté-a tawny port would work better than the ruby used, but still the sauce was divine on excellent pasta cooked a proper Italian al dente (vs the idiotic CA notion that al dente means 'crunchy in the center'). Peas w/mint was SPECTACULAR, beautiful in its simplicity and traditional execution. Foie gras starter generous but when it's 'cooked' with salt, no addt'l salt on top is needed, pls. Salad w/blk walnuts very good altho greens were rather tired. The bad: hamachi crudo overwrought, fish buried under strong/too many flavors. Lobster ravioli: foamy sauce with no depth, bouncy filling like a cheap Chinese fishball, thick dough. Boar loin: great gamy taste, poorly cooked (well-done top/buttom; purple raw in middle, even at edges), forbidden rice burnt and watery, and why the oversalted shreds of meat under the huge loin cut (which itself was seasoned properly)? We often say consistency is a greatly underrated virtue in today's cooking, and unfortunately Torc didn't show us enough of it. Some great ingredients were wasted, and that's a shame. Service was good, but noise level is earsplitting and unpleasant when DR is full, due to too-loud music whose volume is never managed correctly.
My husband and I dined there on Valentine's. The menu that night was price-fix only. We ordered 3 of the four courses when the waiter came to our table. When I said that was good enough to start and we would select our dessert course later, the waiter demanded that we order that course up front as well. We were alarmed by his demeanor. But, then he was clearly "miffed" when I couldn't quickly decide what wine by the glass I wanted and didn't check back again for an order. I had to flag down the floor manager to order the wine. We waited an eternity for each course of our meal. Our waiter never offered bread. And, when we asked for it, we were served two small slices of baguette. Then, when we quickly finished the bread, the plate was cleared and no one asked if we would care for more. At the price of the meal and the painfully slow pace of the courses... they were serving two pieces of bread... ridiculous! We had to flag a busboy for more. Our waiter was clearly avoiding our empty table.
We will never return to this restaurant. They ruined our Valentine Day evening! They are French Laundry wanna-bees. While the food was tasty, the rest of the package was very sub-par. We should have gone next door to Cole's Chop House for an always totally enjoyable dining experience for half of what we spent at Torc that night.
Classy, great presentation, staff very attentive and informative. Noise/music level allowed for good conversation. Very accommodating for vegetarian options that felt we were well considered as important as non vegetarian. Definitely going back.
