Torc never disappoints and is always on point - from the lovely host remembering our favorite wine and table to the service and the innovative menu incorporating the seasons latest ingredients - this visit it was the Pea - the Veloute and the Risotto were divine👍
Excellent meal and overall experience. The staff was very attentive to our needs.
Delicious food. Great service.
We eat here every time we are in Napa Valley and it is consistently outstanding in every way. Skip those Michelin star restaurants and eat here twice instead! Chef O’Toole is very deserving of one, check it out if you are in town. 👍👍👍
Torc on Friday evening (6:30) was busy. The bar was full and loud. After 7:00 everyone left the bar scene and it quieted down. The Scallops were tender and wonderful. My husband however didn’t care for the duck. Overall the service was excellent and we’ll definitely return.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed a great meal with sever Gabe. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with friends. The aged rib-eye was the right choice paired with a special bottle of wine. I highly recommend Torc in Napa. Cant wait to visit again.
Well worth it. Very good service and wine list. Great food
Really good food had the price fix meal with wine pairing. Also had the jamon iberica, fantastic!
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful.
Amazing menu! Every aspect of the restaurant was wonderful! Will definitely return as the inventive menu, attentive service and ambiance were superb.
Always a great experience at Torc! Service, food, ambiance is always 100% the best in town. I look forward to many more delicious visits to Torc.
We had a great dinner at Torq. This was our first time in Napa and we had heard great things about this place - and it didn’t disappoint. The Mac and cheese is on point and there are options for carnivores and vegetarians alike.
Had another wonderful meal with friends at Torc. They are presently featuring shaved truffles as an addition to several dishes and they are very much worth splurging on. I also had the lemon dessert and it is one of the best desserts I have ever had.
The food was fantastic as was the service! We had the Hamachi crudo, which was served differently than everywhere else-kudos on flavor and creativity. The duck was amazing, although the churizo on the plate was frightening (they assured us it was cooked, but mine didn’t look like it was. I skipped it to be safe). My dining partners was much more cooked over mine. Desert options abound, you cannot go wrong. We brought a bottle and took advantage of the no corkage if you buy a bottle on the (amazing) wine list.
My husband and I dined there on Valentine's. The menu that night was price-fix only. We ordered 3 of the four courses when the waiter came to our table. When I said that was good enough to start and we would select our dessert course later, the waiter demanded that we order that course up front as well. We were alarmed by his demeanor. But, then he was clearly "miffed" when I couldn't quickly decide what wine by the glass I wanted and didn't check back again for an order. I had to flag down the floor manager to order the wine. We waited an eternity for each course of our meal. Our waiter never offered bread. And, when we asked for it, we were served two small slices of baguette. Then, when we quickly finished the bread, the plate was cleared and no one asked if we would care for more. At the price of the meal and the painfully slow pace of the courses... they were serving two pieces of bread... ridiculous! We had to flag a busboy for more. Our waiter was clearly avoiding our empty table.
We will never return to this restaurant. They ruined our Valentine Day evening! They are French Laundry wanna-bees. While the food was tasty, the rest of the package was very sub-par. We should have gone next door to Cole's Chop House for an always totally enjoyable dining experience for half of what we spent at Torc that night.
Classy, great presentation, staff very attentive and informative. Noise/music level allowed for good conversation. Very accommodating for vegetarian options that felt we were well considered as important as non vegetarian. Definitely going back.
Let first start by saying the food is great here. Unfortunately, the kitchen hasn't figured out how to get meals out timely. This is our second trip here and both times we had this issue. Since it was Valentine's Day, they had a fixed price menu so selections were limited. Still, we waited (sometimes over 30 mins) between courses. and the restaurant was not full. We did the wine pairing ($140 for two) and maybe had two full glasses of wine. While the wines were excellent and great pairings. I googled one of them and it retails for $30.99. We would have been better off buying from the wine list as they were stingy on the pours. Overall, the total cost of the meal was $510. a 20% tip was included and not optional. TIP = To Insure Promptness. Did not happen here. and, to be fair, the wait staff here is also great. They need to figure this out because it could be a really good spot.
The food between courses came out a little slow, but all in all the food was tasty and service was great.
The food was spectacular! Kudos to the chef!
We've had very good experiences at Torc's in the past so we made reservations for Valentines Day evening. The four course meal was special for Valentines Day. The second course of scallops was outstanding. The final course was desert and was outstanding as well. The first course was an artichoke soup that was a little disappointing. The third course was swordfish that was slightly better than the soup. The service as usual was over the top. Overall the experience was very good with the meal not quite measuring up to the inflated price. I would recommend Torc's to my friends but would caution them to pick an evening that offered the normal menu at a much lower price.
Food was amazing but the music choice for the type of place and customers was way off and too loud.
Celebrated a big birthday and they covered all the bases. terrific job by the staff and great food. Don't miss the truffles in season.
Lately, I have been exploring the downtown Napa restaurants. This is the best overall experience I have had so far. Everything exceeded expectation. From the immediate offer to decant our wine to the quality of the food and good value.
My friends dish was very good, although small. My Swordfish was horrible, 2 small pieces of flavorless fish, with a few (5) mushrooms, and pearl onions. Nothing else came with it for a price of approx. $35.00. Waiter was friendly and helpful as was the Manager. My meal was compted which was greatly appreciated. Lively atmosphere.
My favorite spot in Napa. Ate there twice! Sat at the bar and the bartenders were great!
This is a must for us when in Napa. The Maine Lobster Risotto is amazing...I get it every time, as well as their delicious twist on deviled eggs. Save room for dessert. Their homemade ice creams are unique and very tasty!! Service is top notch.
Best service we’ve ever had!! Food was amazing. Great wine list. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Napa. Randy (our waiter) was great and attentive.
Best meal we’ve had there. Waitstaff great. Really can’t say enough good about it except keep it up
The dishes were beautifully presented. Our waiter really knew the menu and delighted in explaining the nuances of every dish. He was spot on with wine selections and menu suggestions. The Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras was amazing! I really enjoyed my beef short ribs with roasted potato and beets. The flavors were exceptional. Though we didn't order any, there was also "The" Jamon Iberico ham as an appetizer. Any restaurant that serves Jamon Iberico, is a restaurant with great taste. The next time I visit Napa, a meal at Torc with be on my to do list.
Good service and yummy food! Will come back :)
Everytime I go to TORC, the food has remained top notch and the service has been spot on. I always recommend TORC when out of town guests are looking for a place to go to or when I want to meet up with friends.
It was napa restaurant week and we wanted to try a different restaurant at napa. Ambience was at par to other restaurant we went to at napa. The food is more of a tasting plate which is not bad coz we enjoy this creative designs on the plate.
The reason why I am giving it 1 star only coz they did not ask us of any allergies we have and my girlfriend has a big allergy on walnut. When we got our dessert we specifically ask the server who gave us the carrot cake if it contains Walnut and he immediately said no. While eating our dessert my girlfriend started noticing a crunchy thing that taste like Walnut. We ask the other server again and she said yes. We were surprised and she started having hives on her chest and having difficulty breathing. What so disappointing is that it look like they don’t know what to do in this events. We got the check and look fo me a nearest pharmacy to get a Benadryl.
My girlfriend called the next day to tell them she was ok but the only response she got is “that’s good thank you” there were no apologies at all.
If they have trained all of their server on the ingredient of their food then none of this would ever happen. Life are at risk. They almost killed my girlfriend.
great service by Zach
We are ate at bar, great service and food
Nice restaurant though our group of six could have done without a waiter that tried to upsell everything. Do you want an $88 steak, well how about some of our tasty dishes with black truffle? No, well would you like the chef to just cook the feast for you...and how about some refills on wine. It’s more than annoying to have a server do that. He would have sold us his underwear if he’d had the chance.
So while the food was great it was a miss on service.
The food was fantastic! Servers also very pleasant. Nice selection of wines as well.
Dined with a group of six. All of us enjoyed our meals. Food was well prepared and portion sizes were nice. I had the papardelle and then the pork belly. Nice crispy skins on the pork belly which came with an interesting persimmon based side. Good selection of wines (no surprise there!).
Everything was great!
This is one of my favorite places in Napa Valley. Innovative menu that changes frequently. Great setting and nice rock and roll music in the background.
Food was excellent, and a good value for restaurant week with good choices. Service was indifferent, like server didn't care and was just putting in her time until she could go home. Kind of a nickel and dime place and attitude trying to charge $3.00 for Blu cheese olives in an overpriced, small pour $16 Martini
