Beautiful dinner and experience in almost every way. Thank you!
This was my first meal at Topper's and it was terrific! Everything from decor, to lighting, to service to food and wine was exquisite! Thank you--will return again and tell others also.
Amazing food, reasonable portions. Great service. Worth the trip and $$
Limited menu. Our server had no interest in trying to accommodate anything other than strict adherence to the menu as presented.
Anniversary dinner. Excellent
We had a lovely lunch at Toppers Restaurant at The Wauwinet Hotel. The restaurant came highly recommended from a good friend of ours and we were not disappointed!
The setting is stunning the staff friendly and very professional and the food was delicious, especially the smoked bluefish pate.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely place to all our family and friends.
This was a very.nice restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service extremely attentive without hovering. The atmosphere was great indoors. The deck or outdoor area seemed a bit more casual and louder.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for fine dining on Nantucket.
overpriced, fancy food, could not eat main course, awful night
Our scallop appetizer was delicious but our halibut was very dry and covered in a puréed carrot sauce. The sauce was bland and visually unappealing. We were also disappointed after traveling across the country to Nantucket, there was no New England Chowder, Lobster Bisque, oysters, clams or local seafood on the menu. Note: Our halibut was from the Bay of Fundy in Canada.
Topper’s has a name that is completely apropos of his place in the culinary universe.
Toppers is a unique a Monday in August or a personal milestone event, it’s consistently amazing. Doyd is our favorite server/purveyor of wonderful karmic life thoughts & universalities...
I can’t say enough good things, or provide all the appropriate adjectives, but it’s definitely a must, when on the island.
Topper's is basically perfect. Creative, locally sourced food. A beautiful setting. An amazing wine list. And great service. The two somms (Jason and Gabe) are terrific and our waiter Jerome took great care of us!
This is our once a year treat for my birthday. As always, it is elegant and such a special place with spectacular sunsets/views. The food is delicious but very expensive. That is the one reason it is only an annual event for us!!
Excellent dining experience for a special occasion.
It was a very nice outdoor patio lunch, beautiful ambiance & good food. However, the service was very slow. Because of that, our cocktails were comped without even asking for it.
Service was terrible. Our first waiter took our drink order and then never returned until the end of the meal, and never brought our drinks, we had to find another waiter. second waiter wasn’t very smart and had trouble understanding anything. My husband’s lobster was embarrassingly tiny yet was $60. The burrata was lacking in flavor and my halibut dish was very mediocre. Overall it was a total waste of time and money. Not worth it. Can’t fathom why they have any awards at all
It was outstanding
A very special place for a very special occasion
We always make it part of our vacation
Truly magical as always!
Way too overpriced for small menu and amounts of food.
We came out from Nantucket town to have lunch with a house guest at Topper's. Alas, the service was desultory, at best, and the food was totally mediocre. Also, the restaurant patio was unswept, and the place overall was untidy. It was the most disappointing visit to Relais property we have experienced anywhere.
Jorga (sp?) was super awesome! The entire staff was delightful and we had a wonderful experience.
The service was poor. My wine glass was removed by the bus person prior to being served the entree without asking or offering another glass. When our server came by half way through our entree I mentioned that I would have liked an additional glass of wine had one been offered. There was no response or offer of anything. The menu was limited with several “additional priced” items on a prix fix menu? We were very disappointed in the service, price and overall experience.
Beautiful Spot! Always visit when in Nantucket. Fabian took such great care of us!
Outstanding attention, service and cuisine, as usual
It is overrated as a restaurant.
Beautiful setting, delicious food and amazing wine list. Can’t wait to go bACK.
Lovely setting. Very good service. Food totally disappointing. Two of us had the hanger steak, was tough and inedible. Sent it back, was taken off the bill. Swordfish overcooked. We haven’t been in years and now we remember why.
It was our first dinner of the season. We have been Topper’s customers for nearly two decades. The service is outstanding, the food is creative, and beautifully presented. Truly fine dining. And our server, Doyd, is the best in the business.
The boat to the hotel from the White Elephant experience and dinner was amazing! What a gorgeous setting and perfect service , however, the prices were completely ridiculous. They even had added charges to prix fixed $100 per person menu so you could only order items if you paid another $30 for them, defeating the point of one price. Cocktails on the boat ride over should be included in the $100 per person price as well since they’re mostly beverages from a can. The wine prices were also completely silly (from California). As the fine wines were the same price by the glass as the cheap wine. They seriously need a sommelier.
A shame for the food quality for such restaurant
The food was ok , steak over cooked , very very noisy table beside us , as the night went on they got louder and louder . The kitchen forget my side dish of fries , so when main course was almost over , fries arrived , very un impressed with the whole experience . Very over priced , I would give it a skip !
Fantastic drinks and dinner on the patio capped off with a quiet Birthday Salute to our friend 🎉
Over priced food
Amazing food which was beautifully presented. The waitstaff was very perfect and the setting is lovely
Great food, wine, service. Spectacular sunset view
We dined for lunch. The food was excellent, the wine list has surprising values, and the setting is spectacular, as always. Unfortunately, our server, Jocelyn by our bill, was probably the worst and most inappropriate server I have ever experienced at a Relais and Chateaux property. Some highlights: not taking our main order for over an hour such that we waited close to 45 minutes between courses (in fact, we had finished our appetizers before she took the order), not bringing spoons for soup, no refilling waters including for my pregnant wife until we flagged down other staff, not checking on us for 45 minute stretches, not bringing my wife's entree and then suggesting I should've ensured it was brought, etc. In general her attitude is "too cool for school" and not befitting a high end resort such as this. She should be dismissed to one of the pubs downtown. Otherwise, it was great.
Food was Michelin starred inventive, delicious and gorgeous. Very fresh ingredients, the best oysters. Great service. Wonderful experience except for Horrible musac. Like in a dentist’s office. Please fix so that it can be a sublime experience!
Wonderful dining out experience with my family.
Beautiful setting at Wauwinet Resort on Nantucket. The service, location, and ambiance were impeccable. Most of the food was outstanding but two dishes were lacking in flavor; eggplant and the summer harvest. The eggplant was just a cooked eggplant with some sauce on it. It was not seasoned and therefore was a bit bland and difficult to enjoy. The summer harvest was a nice idea (vegetables, fruit, cheese and grains) but it actually didn't go well together. My son had the striploin that was outstanding and my daughter had the burger that was also very very good.
Fun, staff very engaged. Good food.
