The service and ambience were good, considering that it was Valentine's Day, and it was crazy busy. EXCELLENT blackberry cocktail, made with Earl Grey syrup-FABULOUS! Prix fixe meal was good, not great, for the price. Starters were good: salmon carpaccio & crab cake; first was only ok: wedge salad-small, lobster bisque salty and not a dot of lobster, not creamy; main course was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT: 2 orders of scallopS were in fact ONE SCALLOP PER PERSON set in the lobster grits with fresh corn and tomato sauce. Seriously...ONE SCALLOP, all alone, in the ENTREE dish. Looked ridiculous and CHEAP. We definitely felt hoodwinked. What were they thinking??? We were still hungry afterwards. We complained to our waiter and he said the portioning was done by weight, that these were big scallops. um, yea. Dessert: strawberry shortcake was good, trio of sorbets was exceptional.
We were QUITE DISAPPOINTED, that the management took advantage of the holiday and short changed guests. Better to charge a few $ more, and actually provide scallopS, as they were listed on the menu.
We will NOT be going back anytime soon.
Menu was set for Valentines Day. The food and everything served was excellent. Only negative was our server was not terribly friendly.

Value so so. What was described as “Scallops”, was in fact a single medium sized Scallop. Absolutely terrific but I have never been served a solitary scallop this size. Disappointing
Excellent meal and atmosphere for a date night. Every course was spot-on, and the service was impeccable.
The only bad experience was a hair was found in the food by one of my team members. However, it was handled appropriately and credit was given for the amount.
Went here for early dinner and it was great! The owner was walking around and seemed like a nice guy! I definitely recommend this place.
We all began with the wedge salad. It is particularly good at Topaz. My husband had the special trout, my daughter had the salmon and I the scallops. All were delicious. For dessert, my husband had ice cream and i, the beignets.
We’re anxious to try the new Topaz when it reopens-opens.
My wife and I went here for my birthday. The entire experience was amazing. The server did an excellent job explaining all the specials and helped my wife choose a wine suitable for the meal she selected. Our meals were prepared exactly as we requested and tasted amazing (my wife selected the rack of lamb, I selected the Ribeye special). For desert, we asked for the little bits assortment. This consisted of two small cheesecake squares, two small carrot cake squares, and two small chocolate chip cookies. There were no cookies so the chef baked us two small beignets and put it on top of chocolate sauce. They were amazing. The server also happened to hear my wife talking about my birthday and took it upon herself to fashion a candle on top of one of the carrot cakes. I thought this was amazing serivce! She also comped the desert for my birthday! All in all we had an amazing time and will be coming back in the future.
Everything was good except one of the entrees. The prime rib special was very tough and inedible. The restaurant, was very nice about it and did not charge us. Everything else was wonderful.
