Top of the World Restaurant - Stratosphere Hotel Ratings and Reviews
To be fair, the view, as well as the ability to see all 360 degrees of it was fantastic. The rest was, at best, kinda so so. Walking through the smoky, dingy casino to get to elevator was less than enjoyable.
They started by bringing a bread basket to the table. It consisted of flatbread, which was fine, and cold, dense orange flavored, elementary school style rolls, which were horrible. In an alleged fine dining establishment, that was a big turn off. The lobster bisque was thin and fishy, not creamy and robust.
The menu is pretty pedestrian. When in doubt, I don't push it, go for something simple, like a steak. I ordered the ribeye. After telling the waiter how I liked my steak, he strongly suggested I order it medium rare. Unfortunately, it came out medium. To his credit, he saw that I was not pleased and insisted on bringing me another one, cooked rare, which was perfect. On the plate were two carrots. I ordered the steamed broccolini with mushrooms as a side. It was bland and the mushrooms just tasted wet and soggy. My husband had the filet and a twice baked potato. The steak was ok, not fabulous, and the potato was pretty dry and awful.
We had the tiramisu for dessert. It wasn't tiramisu by any definition that I would recognize, but wasn't terrible. With tip and half bottle of red wine we were out a little over $300. For that kind of money there are a thousand other way better places. Again, we enjoyed the experience and were glad we had done it, but do not feel the need to go again.
Highly recommend. Came here on Valentine’s Day and the girls all received a complimentary rose. The food and drinks were amazing, hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially our waiter Alex C. Goes without saying the view is incredible. This place is a must whilst in Vegas.
We went to the sky lounge prior to dinner reservations for happy hour so went to dinner double fisted. Make sure to ha e reservations or you won’t get in. The surf and turf was great but the ambiance was the best. Wonderful way to spend valentines. We’ve been back to the sky bar twice for happy hour drinks and apps since having dinner on vday. Great way to enjoy the view while having drinks and food at half the price.
We were new to Las Vegas and loved the beautiful view at nite. We all agreed it was a must do if you go to Las Vegas. The food and wine were awesome & the view of Las Vegas was incredible. Our waiter was friendly and had a wonderful sense of humor. My husband & I and our good friends said it was on our bucket list & would highly recommend anyone should do.
One of The best restaurants I went to in Las Vegas if not the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The view was breathtaking and the rotating aspect of the stratosphere was so unique. The menu is on the pricey side but that should be expected for a fine dining experience. I had the chef‘s tasting menu which was paired with a glass of wine at each course and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.
The food was amazing and portions were more than sufficient. One of us did the tasting menu with Lobster bisque and scallops and filet with shrimp, the other did the a la carte menu with the Filet with Lobster plus the lobster bisque - very good. The view is great, but the rotating view took some time to get used to, though we would definitely go back! Hats off to the chefs, the food was spot on!!
We’ve been there many times. Always excellent service and food even though it was a bit pricey. This time we were shocked at the big price increase without any corresponding improvement in food or service. In fact the service wasn’t as good as our past experiences. Our server, Joey, was a super friendly and helpful guy, but he must have had too many tables assigned to him because his visits to our table had very long gaps between them. He brought menus to us but then about 25 minutes went by before he returned to take the orders. The food was about the same as always: very good! But the prices have gone up so high that it’s become ridiculous. We have never complained about high food prices there in the past because we get an incredible view and an awesome elevated experience while we dined. But they have gone too far now. I hope they review their prices and get more realistic.
This was our 'romantic' dinner choice for our Vegas stay and it fulfilled all our hopes. Beautiful rotating night view and the restaurant felt intimate despite being full. Great food and nicely paced. Great wagyu ribeye and super tender lamb. Definitely want to come back the next time we are in Vegas.
It was very good, but as expensive as everything was we don’t feel we should’ve had to pay for water. In fact if we would’ve known we were paying seven dollars for a carafe of water we would not of ordered it . Waitresses should mention this when taking orders.
