Top of the Rock Restaurant at the Marriott Buttes Resort Ratings and Reviews
View was great! A little cool out so we were surprised there were no heat lamps as we’ve come to expect at most places with outdoor seating.
Food was fabulous! Service was very good but slow on getting our drinks.
I included in my notes that we would prefer to sit outdoors and it was my wife’s birthday. They got the outdoor seating correct but was surprised to not see them mention her birthday. It’s the little details that can make a difference.
We would def go back with others.
The food was exceptional and the service was exquisite. They served my every need and responded quickly to my order. The chicken and donuts could have been a meal in itself, but the halibut was the best. The chocolate olive oil cake was marvelous and again the service was excellent against a great backdrop. Would most definitely recommend and go again.
Wait staff was awesome. Every member that checked on us or brought us water made sure we were happy. But they were not to the point of being annoying. I wish other restaurants were this attentive. The food matched the service. Waiter made suggestions and we followed. Glad we did. Beautiful evening overlooking the city lights.
The setting and view of the Valley was lovely. However, for an upscale restaurant, I was surprised at the utilitarian patio furniture. Rather uncomfortable hard plastic chairs and metal tables resembling a card table (no tablecloths). The service was OUTSTANDING! Much of the food is localling grown, and the chef is creative with the dishes. Plate presentation was lacking....an 8 oz. steak in the middle of a large plate with no garnishes was rather disappointing. The side bowl of marbled potatoes was quite salty. The halibut was delicious, but again, the sauce was salty ( and I’m a salt lover). All in all, we did enjoy our meal, with the added bonus of a gorgeous full moon, and would recommend this restaurant.
Loved the restaurant itself but I did not like where we were seated. Next to register and I think dish station? Basically where waiters enter in orders and grab silverware in the corner. Yes we got a view but it was kind of cramped into a corner next to the glass so I felt like a little zoo animal tucked away. I wish we would've asked for booth or center seats because the view can be from pretty much all tables! I also did not think the food was anything that special unfortunately. The shrimp was good but also nothing fancy. The pasta was bland with a strange smell. I had only a few bites and went home hungry unfortunately. Didn't want to wait on a new dish. My boyfriend ordered a great dish (pork with beans or something). Otherwise our service was amazing (free valet) and the place itself is great AMAZING VIEW. I just know I will be better about my seating and food choices next time.
Average. At best. The views are gorgeous and service exemplary. Food was below our expectations. The medium steak came out cold and rare. I mentioned it and the steak was taken back for additional char. When it came back it swas medium rare.
View and location was great. Service and arangment was questionable at best. Our table was cover with ants which made for interesting evening when food arrived. Server would disappear and show up only at times when both drinks and plates were empty.
Disappointing as view was amazing however will think twice before returning.
Kenny was great and gave us great service. I eat here when I have time to relax and enjoy the meal and company. The view can not be beat. This was the fist time the weather was nice enough to sit outside. We are adding this place to our regular list of ( nice places to eat ) and everyone enjoyed it. We look forward to monthly trips here. We live 25+ miles away or we would eat here more often.
Steak was good but it was too dark to see what we were eating. Can't even enjoy the view. Our waitress didn't really check on us. The food that we wanted to order they didn't have. The risotto suggested didn't taste good. The dessert was not what we expected-they didn't charge us for it.We've been to other pricy restaurants that was worth what we paid for. This definitely was not worth it!
My girlfriend and I went for to Top of the Rock for our one-year-of-dating anniversary. We both thought that the drive to the restaurant was beautiful. We went around 7pm and the sun was setting across the mountains and it made for a beautiful view from the restaurant. Outside we can walk around to see how it overlooks the city and its just gorgeous. I recommend sitting by the window for a great view. We went on Labor Day and the place was very quiet, it felt like we were the only ones there. The food was pricy, but you're really paying for the ambiance. I must say, I ordered the Stuffed Pork Tenderloins and it was NOT GOOD, I had to choke my food down. My date got the Roasted Chicken, and it was OK at best. I wouldn't recommend this place honestly. The place is beautiful but the food is not great and DEFFINITELY not worth the price. I paid $63.
The appetizers and drinks were great. Unfortunately, two of our five meals were not good Food was over cooked - sent it back to the kitchen (the waiter insisted) and the replacement meals were also over cooked. By then, three of our party had finished their meals and the overall dinner to welcome our nephew was disappointing. The waiter did what he could - so service was good but the kitchen could not produce an edible tuna dish. Take it off the menu if you don't know how to cook it.
We had gotten bad bread but the staff was extremely professional in the way they handled it. They were very apologetic and provided many items on the house. Furthermore, they accommodated my request of having "happy anniversary" written on our dessert. Truly a great restaurant. Our awesome waiter was Guillermo.
Service was not up to par for a fine dining experience. Food was served cold and the chicken along with the cauliflower mash was extremely bland. The server rarely checked on our table and the desert menu was not impressive. We opted to leave.
The food was delicious and our servers were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Standouts were the chicken donuts and the mashed cauliflower. I also would recommend the blueberry mojito from the bar. Additionally, our primary server was very honest. I had asked for change for a $20 and had completely forgotten I had asked for it when we left, and she dashed out to make sure I got it. Glad I tipped her well!
The piped in music could stand to be a little lower. It bounces off all that gorgeous wood and becomes kind of an auditory smear and it sometimes made it hard to hear what my dinner companions were saying. It wasn't awful, though, just mildly irking at times.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last week. The food was amazing as was the wine list. The architecture was unique and the view was impressive. We had a wonderful time sitting at a table right by the window.
Once you arrive greeted by a large wine seller and hosted. The staff was amazing, the food was incredible. The chicken carnitas donuts was recommended and was delicious. Great selection for wine and spirits. Would definitely recommend making a reservation and enjoying dinner. The views are awesome. Entries restaurant is surrounded with views... my wife loved this place, we will be returning.
The views were nice, if you sat near the window over looking the valley. The prices were high, as you would expect in a hotel restaurant, but the food was not exceptional. The tuna was over cooked and dry and had some odd flavored greens on it. There was a green sauce that lacked flavor. I would not recommend this place unless you were trying to impress someone with the location and views.
Beautiful view, excellent food, great service. The chicken doughnut appetizer was delicious, and everyone raved about their meal. I'd return anytime!
My one suggestion would be to check their staffing of the valet booth (we were there on a Wednesday evening and no one was present to park our vehicle).
Restaurant has great views and a fantastic atmosphere. Unfortunately, the power went out after we started our appetizer and we could not have dinner. Chicken Doughnuts were very tasty and had a nice spicy/sweet contrast. Based on the atmosphere and appetizer I would recommend the place at full power.
This is one of those places that relies on it's amazing view for everything. It's clearly the only reason people come here. The food is not good. The menu tries too hard and it is not executed very well. Little things like broken Booth seats and dirty wine glasses. They failed to come through on the details. This could be an amazing place, but they know they're going to get customers strictly based on the view so they don't have to try very hard in any other areas. If this restaurant was located away from a hotel and not on top of a mountain, it would've been closed years ago.
This is such an excellent choice. I have been to this location twice and the second time was better then the first. I absolutely love this place and I can't wait to go back. The food is excellent, and the service is top notch. It may seem a little pricy but definitely worth every single dollar
My date is a very picky eater, (I didn't know that at the time, it was only our second date) but the staff was very accommodating to his palette which made the date even nicer. We LOVED the ambiance and the beautiful views... Very nice! :-) We will be back!
