We came for my girlfriends birthday, it was really nice ambience, the service was a little slow, we waited around 30-45 mins to order but the scenery was nice to have while we waited. Food was great! They gave us a free piece of cake for her bday.
Great view of Phoenix and surroundings, while enjoying good food and drinks. Service was great and attentive.
Food was just okay. Nothing special. They were out of a lot of items we wanted like the ravioli and a cocktail drink. The Thai shrimp was the only thing really good. The chicken donuts were hard and dry.
The Mac and cheese and Gnudi was just ok. Lacked flavor.
The view was spectacular, patio is amazing! But we won’t be back unfortunately
Great location / ambiance, food and drink !... and, terrific service (shout out to Evan !)
People are drawn to this restaurant for the beautiful view and food. Although, we did not make reservations 2 weeks in advance - the front desk said that we could not sit on the patio - although only three tables were occupied. We were seated in booths way in the back. We were there over an hour and a half and never was the patio area tables all occupied. We observed a couple who were originally seated in the booth next to us and after a short conversation were moved to the patio. We are Marriott owners and have been to this restaurant several times before. To think that a person must protest or maybe give the front desk a few bucks to buy their way to the patio is a restaurant we do not want to refer or support. We would think that Marriott would want to give all their guests the best experience to encourage repeat business. There are far better restaurants with excellent food in the Phoenix area.
It was great! Awesome views of the city
Requested window table tues night for 4 - really great food and view!
I was in town from Austin visiting my ASU son and we wanted a fun place for dinner. Top of the Rock looked interesting to us and we were excited when we drove up and saw the lovely structure. We were seated outside on a gorgeous evening but the food was very average. My son ordered the filet which looked like it was carved from the tenderloin with a butter knife. It was so mangled and way over cooked but he didn’t send it back because he was hungry. At least it tasted ok. The Mac and cheese was not good/ runny. It’s so easy to make it good-just add good cheese!! The TOR salad was pretty good and I added the roast chicken. The gnuddi was awful! Gnuddi should be light pillows if ricotta- these were a heavy thick version of gnocchi and that’s bring generous. Just so heavy I could only eat a couple of bites. This restaurant could be a diamond for Marriott if they would up their food game! I think people go for that “special meal” because of the setting and it’s one and done. If they cared more about the food it would be a destination over and over.
At the end of dinner I told my wife that I never want to eat anywhere else. The bread and butter was a great start. The ravioli were sweet, savory, and so very delicious. My wife had the Arctic Char that was paired perfectly with a delictable butter sauce. It was cooked to perfection, and it was devine. I had the Wagyu Short Rib. This meal will be the meal I order on my deathbed. The polenta was so very creamy and savory, and it paired perfectly with the Wagyu Short Rib, which was like butter. It was simply phenomenal. When the Passion Fruit Creme Brulee arrived, we figured it had to be amazing, because the meal had been incredible. This dessert far exceeded our expectations. The service and ambiance was 5 stars, and the pace of the meal was ideal. This was, without a doubt, the best meal I have ever eaten. We will be back, again and again. Bravo T.O.R.!
The view, spectacular and the food, delicious combined with the level of service made for a divine experience.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday and wanted to take him for a nice dinner. I am glad i selected this place. It is amazing. Great food, great service, great views
beautiful spot to sit out on the back deck and enjoy the evening! Food was fabulous as was our waiter Guillaume - wonderful night -
I HAD NEVER BEEN HERE & WANTED TO GIVE IT A TRY FOR RESTAURANT WEEK. THAT'S HOW WE TRY OUT NEW RESTAURANTS TO SEE IF WE LIKE THEM. Our server was not very experienced, we had to ask several times for everything, like a wine list! The menu choices were very strange. I got the egg custard, it was (I think) very under cooked, runny & the grilled shrimp were definitely undercooked. I got the pork jowls, they were great. My husband got the Hanger steak, it was almost charred, he had asked for medium rare. the Halibut in a paper wrap, was just ok, not much flavor. Deserts were great. so if that's the type of food here, we won't be back. we were all very disappointed in our visit.
We were here for the restaurant week menu, ordered the TOR salad and Halibut. Both not worth the price. The salad was just spring mix with dressing. The halibut came out with paper wrapped, no presentation at all, and just taste like boiled fish with soy sauce. Over all experience subpar. Maybe if we ordered off the main menu, food would taste better.
Best food I have had in a long time, maybe ever. Unique experience.
My first experience here was exquisite!!! We arrived for Restaurant Week, got exactly the secluded outdoor table we wanted at just the time we reserved, and were well attended by the most polite and attentive staff I've ever interacted with in the Phoenix valley. The food and wine were miles beyond what I expected, and the leftovers that they packaged up beautifully for us allowed us to experience the deliciousness well after the evening was over. I will return as soon as my schedule allows! Thank you for the beautiful evening!!!
Great service and food. The view of the valley is spectacular
Originally we were seated in the back right next to some air vents which were blowing freezing air directly on us, luckily they allowed us to move to another more comfortable table. We did not meet our server nor take our order for a full 30min after being seated (had to request the menu as well), we did not receive food we ordered until 90min after being seated. We were asked multiple times if we would like bread to snack on while waiting but only one person actually brought us bread. For all of this I would have given a very low rating however the waiters that served our table did an incredible job despite not being able to make the food come out any faster (there were many vacant tables I’m guessing they were just understaffed). I was given a sample to try the soup before ordering it, offered a complimentary beverage or appetizer or “anything to make it right,” sincere concern expressed, surprised with a hand written note to take home with recipe for our favorite drink. Once we got food it was more pleasant and the food was prepared well (although my entree was lukewarm at best). I would give them a second chance on a less busy day, and recommend coming here during daylight to take advantage of the view. I did feel the other tables had more attention than ours. Maybe my review is too generous but I’d like to try the food again with a better table.
Great view! We enjoyed our dining experience at the Top of the Rock Restaurant. Sunday night was nice and quiet.
Food was disappointing. View was mediocre. Would prefer Point of View. Service was slow. Manager was good about it and comp'd drinks. However, due to disappointing food, would not go back.
Excellent dining experience. The food was just wonderful and so was the presentation! The view has to be one the best in the Phoenix area!
Fantastic open space. Really great view. Loved it, and the staff were so great!
Great atmosphere and delicious food. First time of many more visits to come.
Not what we were expecting. Experience with host staff was poor. Food was less than ok.
Great views and server was very attentive and explained the menu. See also acknowledged our anniversary which is why we were there.
SEDONA GIRL and her husband enjoyed dinner and a great light show from a storm. The salad and sides we enjoyed were delicious although the sides were a bit salty for us as we use little salt. We had a booth which was more comfortable as the tables and chairs look rather stiff. The ambiance and view are superior.
Great view and good staff. I wish the menu had a few more choices.
Food was bad, ordered the chicken and it was rubbery and chewy. Service was good though
Great happy hour, Dinner, Fantastic views very friendly staff, When in town will definitely be back
Great restaurant. Great view of the city and the mountains. Good service. Good food. The music was too loud and I would consider it electronics style. Not great dinner music.
Food , atmosphere and service was absolutely outstanding! Kristina was the most amazing server I’ve probably ever had therefore I will definitely be back , and spreading the word.
It is a beautiful place for a special occasion and the watching the sunset was wonderful. It was a bit expensive for such a limited entrée menu. I chose pork tenderloin and it was good, but did not enjoy the sides that came with it.
Try to arrive around sunset. The rock formation is able to block the suns deathly heat for an amazing view of the valley and Sky Harbor airport. Get a table by the windows for the view. I had a booth and it was amazing as well. Food is outstanding and plated perfectly. The service is attentive but not hounding...we will be back...
Loved everything about the place! It was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service was beyond my expectations. Table for one but I was so well attended to that I never felt alone. Love the staff and the cocktails were delicious too! Highly recommend the Red Sangria. :-)
The restaurant is beautiful, great views, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were delicious.
We arrived at 6:15pm, just in time to watch the sunset and the lights come on in Phoenix. The staff made sure those arriving at that time were all seated with that wonderful view. A perfect way to start the evening! The servers were prompt, answered all our questions and made it a perfect evening. The food was delicious. No need for a "doggie bag"!
It was the first visit for my partner, but I used to regularly attend the Sunday Brunches, and only occasionally in the evening. We will definitely return.
Birthday celebration for 2 of 3 guests.
Their complimentary deserts were outstanding!
Christina and the woman manager were most excellent! Thank-you for such amazing hospitality :)
The restaurant was essentially empty at 6:45 on a Tuesday. Ambiance and the view are unbeatable. The food was generally good but not uniformly excellent given the price. My wife’s rice was almost burnt, and not in a good way. Like dining at the Hyatt rotating restaurant, you are going for the ambiance for a special romantic dinner - not necessarily for the food...
Second time attending this restaurant as we had a wonderful experience the first time! Last year my husband took me here before he proposed to me at another location and they were very accommodating to his requests! This time we sat inside as there was a storm and the experience was just as wonderful! Food was delicious and the our waiter was lovely! The view is out of this world and would highly recommend!!
