We had previously requested a window table - we booked our table more than a week in advance. Instead, we were seated practically in the hallway even though I have called the restaurant telling them the dinner was quite a big occasion.
We were a party of 4 and the restaurant refused to seat us until the rest of our party arrived. This led to some awkward standing right by the entrance. You wouldn't expect this in a high end restaurant. It's either the bar or wait outside even though our table was ready!
It was a very frustrating experience from a management team that could hardly have done worse if they have tried. I doubt I would come here again for any special occasion.
It was nice dinner including fabulous night skyline.
It was very nice and enjoyed it very much.
Excellent all around
I had not been to Top of the Hub in 45 years and it was even better this time than I remembered. And I remember it very fondly. The view has certainly changed. The food is wonderful. The service is wonderful. It is my new favorite restaurant in the city.
Our dinner was absolutely amazing! The pear salad was incredible, as was the Lobster Ravioli! The scallops were good, but not that filling (just a small portion.) The asparagus was good and it was a giant portion, enough for several people. They have an excellent wine list and are able to offer great suggestions. We had an amazing overall experience. If you want a window seat, make sure to request one when making the reservation--it's definitely worth it! It was the perfect dinner overall. Given the view, a restaurant like this would be packed even if the food wasn't good, but the food is outstanding, as are the beverages. Definitely a must do while in Boston, or great place to celebrate a special occasion!
Had a great dinner with very good service
Restaurante con maravillosas vistas. Servicio muy amable. Ambiente tranquilo. Comida correcta -buena Presentación/ buen producto, pero mejorable.
Un ambiente agradable, buena comida, buena música. Obviamente es caro, pero mereció la pena.
Our lunch was awesome and we will be coming back. I've been here with my husband in 1982, with my two sons in 2001 and grand daughters in 2015 and now with my sister and niece.
Great place, food is very delicious, but way too expensive. 1st time and last that I go to that place with more than 2 people.
Awesome experience! The food and the view were insane👅
The ambience was beautiful with the view. The food warm not hot which was disappointing. Also I expected Jazz at Sunday Brunch since my daughter is an opera singer which is why I picked Top of the Hub for background music. Brunch is over priced without the music.
It was very good
The atmosphere and view were fantastic! The service was attentive but not obtrusive and the food delicious with a varied menu. Would highly recommend for any occasion
The view is incredible. The service was poor. Our waiter was unfriendly. The food was good, but you’re paying for the view here.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday at this restaurant. Great view, service, and atmosphere. Food was outstanding and the portions were large. We eat out at a different restaurant each weekend and Top of the Hub is now one of our favorites.
My Manager and Senior Manager flew out from New York and wanted the best place to eat. Top of the Hub was my first choice and they were not dissappointed. Terrific food and the service was great!
Great night, staff were excellent and a super view of Boston.
Reunion for old college friends!
The service was impeccable thanks to Robert our Waiter
If you are visiting Boston, this a must. Gorgeous view of the city with a romantic atmosphere. The service and the food were beyond exceptional.
The top of the hub cab was great, i love the bread service but my food was so cold
First visit to Boston so included this in beginning of our trip
I was frustrated as they ran out of wedge potatoes; however the filet mignon was delicious. The location is easy to get in but I expected a little bit more based on their review and price.
Overall a great experience. The food was amazing, the experience and the ambiance were absolutely mesmerizing.
What a place!!!😁the views of the city and the food is unreal ! The wait stuff is great and they took very special care of the needs that I had ask for! Definitely going back for more special occasions! Great job
Entrees and deserts were excellent.
Only criticism is that the large seafood platter was disappointing.
Small quantities , not at all impressive especially for the price.
Great food with one exception- the au gratin potatoes. Otherwise food was outstanding. Service was excellent, too.
Great views, beautiful scenery. Wasn't crazy about the menu choices at all thou. Overpriced.
great view. staff was friendly and took care of my wife and I well.
It was my daughter’s birthday and we ordered the 5 course meal. The food was delicious and the sizes were pretty good. The service was outstanding.
A very good experience.
Love the view, love the food and love to be surprised by special details, like the candle and the “Happy Birthday “ in my dessert.
The hostess was rude . I asked for a table closer to the window and she copped an attitude. “How many people are at your table?” 7. “Yeah, that one only has room for 4.” Yes, text never conveys audible shifts in tone and attitude.
The waitress was in experienced and seemed more focussed on turnover and pushing us for orders.
Great view, food and service! Lunch was excellent, will certainly be back
Elegance at its finest
Excellent as always. We went to Top of the Hub after our Wedding for dinner. We were seated in the lounge as we were early and had cocktails. We were then shown to our table, best table in the house (but there are no bad tables every table has a view of the Boston Skyline). Drinks and food were excellent and the dessert just melts in your mouth. Service is award winning and can not be beat, if you look up someone is there for you. Fantastic evening with my beautiful new bride.
Simply excellent very good food, attention and the view and music is spectacular.
This would have been wonderful had it not been for the horribly loud group in an adjacent area. (I think it was the lounge?) We chose this restaurant as a special place to celebrate my milestone birthday. The view was spectacular, the food exquisite, the service impeccable, and the ambience beyond horrible. People were literally yelling and shrieking. When the live music started, it was nearly impossible to hear it. Conversation was challenging. I loathe loud places, so I selected this place thinking it would be an elegant and romantic experience for my special birthday on our long-awaited visit to Boston. Instead, it was like being at a rowdy frat party.
The food was lovely, though. I had lobster bisque, lobster mac and cheese, and scallops with golden beets and carrot sauce, and all were excellent. The blueberry monito I had to drink was tasty and refreshing. It would have been nice to have coffee and dessert and listen to the music, but we didn’t stay.
It’s too bad, because this restaurant has the potential to be a top notch dining spot, but it seems to attract the wrong crowd.
