It was a wonderful first experience for my boyfriend and I on our one year anniversary. We both absolutely loved it! Thank you so much!
In town for concert. Thought food would just be okay, but everything was delicious. Great service too.
Hated to hear it’s closing
Received a gift card from our son....food, drink and view was amazing. So sad its closing.
It’s to bad there closing! Love the place! But Portions are very small for the price! 5 people to lunch and almost $400.00 had clients in from out of town and they enjoyed the experience but it’s to bad there is no connection to the observation deck that if you have a meal or something that entrance fee is waved!
What a beautiful spot, perfect for a special occasion! Attentive staff, yummy food. So sorry to hear it's about to close.
We have been to the Top of the Hub before but were very disappointed with our dinner last night. This was a special occasion, our 49th Anniversary.
The positives: we got a great table with a great view and were treated by our waiter with Happy Anniversary. The waiter was nice but did not attend to us frequently enough.
1. Food: We had filet minion and salmon, both were overcooked. We had asparagus which was barely warm when served.
2. Value: The meal was expensive. I know we paid for the view, but the cost compared to the quality was poor.
3. We expected more for our anniversary. Other restaurants offer free desert and make more of a celebration for a significant anniversary. For example, last year we went to Capital Grill, and they treated us royally. Top of the Hub was disappointing.
Sad you guys are closing since it’s the restaurant where my husband and I got engaged! Great food, ambience and service!
Amazing view and excellent staff, sad to hear they are leaving.
I heard once that price is only a problem in the absence of value. Well, I can't say much about the fantastic ambiance nor the welcoming staff(amazing), but the food did not surprise me at all, variety is also lacking, and some flexibility with kids menu would help.
The food service and ambience are spectacular! If rumors are true, we will surely miss the top of the hub. It is iconic Boston and everyone should get their fill! J
A modest menu as for brunch on Sunday was compensated with a fabulous view and a good service.
Wasn’t as great as I expected, food was no where near the price. Was expected an exceptional meal but it wasn’t up to my expectation. The garlic cheese potatoes had way to much garlic like it was overkill. The Lamb was not as flavorful as I expected. The steak was asked for medium well and it can extra raw. Food was no where near where it was suppose to be.
Service was good, the view was great. I had the shrimp cocktail appetizer with prosecco. The jumbo shrimp were very delicious and the cocktail sauce was very tasteful made. I will be planning more dates here!
For the views, yes.
For the food, there are better less expensive alternatives in the city.
Beautiful views and exceptional food and dining experience! Great date night spot.
Amazing beautiful views
The food was alright, but a place like this isn’t about the food. It’s for the experience- which was great. The views are outstanding and the glass is very clean. Great for photos. Going back to the food, I ordered a 14oz prime steak and I asked for medium rare I got a medium well. It’s a bit disappointing since I paid near to 60$. The steak was still great but I wasn’t able to finish it due to the chewiness in the well done areas. If you’re looking for consistent amazing food and price is no factor, considering a restaurant with a well known chef. But if you’re looking for a place to have a nice small celebration, this place is great.
Great views. Regardless of the window seat or not you are still able to see the beautiful scenery. This is my 5th time and every time I enjoy the experience.
Amazing would be an understatement. From the hostess to the bar staff to the service to the food. Our server Andrew offered suggestions when we couldn't decide between items, and he was right on the money. This is fine dining, and not cheap, but you get what you pay for!! You pay for the best and get the best here! Definitely on the top of my list for special occasions now!
View is nice, however, tables That I would hope would be more intimate (by the windows) are very close to the bar (which was full) so it was very noisy for such an expensive dinner. Food is overpriced for quality but our server was very nice. I am sure there are much better restaurants and other places to see the city.
Nothing to really eat, our waiter was so rude and came to our table literally every 5 minutes. Made dinner very uncomfortable
Cioppino too spicy. Service slow. Spinach with scallops inedible. Waiter nice. In general very disappointing this time.
Terrific in every respect.
The food was great and dessert options too! I would highly recommend their Chocolate cake! Although the menu options are limited especially if one of you is vegetarian. They can customize a bit but not much with less options. Can't complain, it's a place for the view and that was the only bummer. We reserved the window table a week before but that day was super rainy and cloudy so the view was just too cloudy, could not see a thing. We had already postponed by a week so did not change the plan again but that's not on the restaurant. Otherwise, everything was awesome & perfect ambience for a date night!
Birthday dinner was amazing
Top of the hub is an incredible place to eat. We visited for some dinner while staying in Boston on our honeymoon from the U.K. The service was outstanding and the food even more so. The view however combined with everything else make this restaurant one special place.
We arrived 1.5 hours early for our reservation, and were able to get a very nice table next to the window. Our server was exceptional. She was not only very knowledgable, but extremely personable. She helped make the evening even more enjoyable. My family had a wonderful experience. We look forward to coming again.
When looking for a special evening I always think of the Top of the Hub. The food never disappoints and the view is amazing.
Thank you Top of the Hub for making our Anniversary so special!!
The food was mediocre, but I guess you go for the view. Our server was disinterested with us, and flat out rude to the tables near us. It was embarrassing.
Wow. Talk about disappointment. This was one the worst dining experiences I can remember in a really long time. Forget about the fact that it was $190 pp. I would not have served this food to my worst enemy. It was so bad we walked out after 3 of the 5 courses. 1st course was chilled lobster tail. They were simply boiled and chilled tails. One of the two was completely undercooked and smelled bad. When they were prepared, they were boiled, when the tail was split, it was never removed from the tail and replaced. So the meat stuck to the tail. It was impossible to remove the meat. I noticed every other table around me having the same problem. With 2 diners, 1 inedible tail. The other, unable to get the meat out. 2nd course was gnocchi with duck. To be blunt, it was a terrible pairing together. I love gnocchi. I love duck. There was something about it that was incredibly underwhelming. Bland. Flavorless. Duck is such a rich meat. It has no seasoning nor flavor to speak of. 3rd course. Endive salad. The chefs should have been embarrassed to put these on a plate. It was simply big hunks of endive. Slightly grilled. Tossed on a plate. With a bit of caviar and some other microgreens tossed around the plate on the side. Again, lacking in flavor. At that point, I looked at my date and asked. Do we go somewhere else and get some decent food. She agreed. So we did.
Our server, Tracy. Was kind, attentive and awesome. We gave her a great tip, as it was NYE. But the Top of the Hub should be ashamed at the food they served. Tracy offered to give us the last 2 course to go. But why bother? When you can't handle a chilled lobster tail. Or a gnocchi. Or an endive salad. What more is there to stay for.
Loved the place! So impressed with the staff. First class act all around. Seth and his coworkers were the very best! The Chef also made my night, with his special attention, to my gluten intolerance. Best creme brulee I have ever had!!! Management did a fabulous job. Best New Year's ever!!! Not sure if I marked the noise level correctly. Other diners very polite. Lovely quiet fine dining experience!
I wish I took more time to review the menu before making the reservations. I felt limited with the meal choices of the NYE menu. It was very good though.
