Made us wait to sit and have a drink in the cocktail are for a long time which was annoying. But once we sat at our table, the food was amazing, service excellent and beautiful atmosphere.
Looks to need updates to restaraunt and lavatories
View was beyond expectation! The cocktails we ordered were both deliborately designed and tended to have a fine balance. Food was actually good too.
Lunch was terrific and at great prices!
We had brunch on a snowy day so we did not have good view. I usually do not book a table for brunch or dinner at the restaurant with good view because 100% of times I have had awful dishes. Top of the Hub is different from those restaurants. The foods were generally good. The best was tuna tartare. However, risotto was not very impressive. The service was very good. We should come back.
I've been there before for the brunch which was great. I was there for lunch this time and the food was bad. Clam Chowder was very salty and not tasty at all. The meet dish was good. The dessert wasn't fresh. I had a very bad stomachache afterwards and I still feel sick. something was definitely wrong.
The service was OK. OUr server wasn't friendly and she spilled the coffee and she didn't offer to change it.
A great place for any special occasion or a fancy date night! Food & views were excellent.
Dinner with a view of Boston at night. Recommend reservations as it is so busy.
It was amazing !!
We had brunch to celebrate our one year anniversary. It was a picture perfect day for us to enjoy great food, beautiful views, and top notch service! Highly recommend!
Probably the worst food I’ve ever had...dry, brown lettuce...over cooked chewy/hard chicken...tasteless dessert...
Save your money- go to Starbucks in the lobby- you’ll like it more...
the Menu fixed is not appreciable because we pay money for good food, option for choosing own menu should be considered. all Dishes should be customization according to customer.
Followed through w/ window and champagne reservation. Very lovely experience with a reservation for brunch.
Birthday
Our bill was $191 plus tip...for 3 , for Brunch. So with tip, I paid $230 for 3. Yikes. Coffee at least should be included. We only each had 1 mimosa. You are forced to the $42 brunch. 3 mimosa $39, 3 coffees 26!
Web site should indicate that regular lunch menu not available on Sundays. We would have come another day to keep the bill down.
Just too expensive even with a great view.
Me and my partner went to the Top of the Hub to celebrate Valentine’s day and we had such a good experience being for the first time at the restaurant, however we were expecting more for the food, once we knew the view was spectacular.
We came here for a birthday celebration. The service is only okay and the food quality is only so so. This place is clearly a three stars restaurant charging for five stars price.
This was my first time to Top of the Hub and the experience was split in half. On one hand, the experience was very nice once we got to our seat and begin the night. However, I almost canceled my reservation after 45 minutes of looking for the restaurant. There were no signs or directions on how to get to the top of the hub in the prudential mall (where the restaurant is located). I believe the fiasco could've been avoided had someone answered the phone several hours before the reservation time. Unfortunately, it did not seem that the management was as tightly run as you'd expect for a high end restaurant in Boston's swanky back bay district.
The steak
Was amazing but the sides and desert would use some work
The lamb chops were absolutely amazing. The view was absolutely amazing. The man at the desk with the orange hair was nice enough to give a window seat!
The waitress broke a glass and spilled my drink and simply threw a towel over it. Only replaced my salad, which lead to my girlfriend finding glass in hers. The filet had barely any taste. The upside was the view and dessert.
Nice. It was a really really really really really nice.
The food was amazing the view was spectacular The service was impeccable it was a great evening
Best place I’ve been in a while .I love it so much
The environment was perfect for our first night out after a baby! The view was AMAZING, the live music was stellar and the food was great taste/quality.
Awesome! Delicious , super fresh!
I had high hopes for this restaurant. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Food wasn’t spectacular. It was mediocre. Presentation was sloppy. Hate the seating arrangement. The whole restaurant looks dated. Don’t mind paying for an expensive meal if I think it’s worth it, this was not! The place just didn’t deliver.
Very nice place and service, good food and an amazing view. Recommended
Amazing experience. Great service, view and company
For a special occasion. Food is presented nicely snd fixed price lunch entrees with generous portions. Veiw spectacular from all window seats.
Great location, make sure you go on a date night or go as a couple. Nice romantic restaurant
We came here for valentines. For the price we paid ($190/each) we didn’t get the window seat, food was horrible! We had simple CHICKEN as main course out of the pre fix menu, and brownie as dessert (not even ice cream). Very disappointed
Love this place but this time it was just a slight let down. The choices in food were less than previous years for the prefixe menu. For the amount of money spent, I feel that only one dessert choice and a lack of more special entrees on the menu (ex, lobster, aged steak, king crab, etc.) were just a slight let down. As always our service was amazing along with the atmosphere and attention to detail. The food was good just not amazing per usual.
It was good
Gar-bage. If you want to donate 300 plus dollars on Valentine's Day with their sham of a prix fix 4 course menu, please do not make the same mistake I did. My girlfriend and I made reservations for 2 a month before Valentine's Day to ensure we get the ever elusive window seat. We get there - and we're seating in the middle of the room like second class citizens. When I moved my seat to be closer to my girlfriend I am rudely scolded by a weird old man that I am now a fire hazard. I was informed as I got there that you have to wait an additional hour and a half plus to sit at a window seat even if you have a reservation. Does that make any sense? What am I reserving for? Why don't I just sit on the floor? What kind of hospitality is this on Valentine's Day from a top tier restaurant in Boston? We ended up sitting at a family table for 4 as our last resort. Here I am on V Day sitting at a family table with my girlfriend like my we're waiting for 2 other rando's to come anytime now. Furthest away from the window seat we reserved. So far, we might as well could have sat in the bathroom at that point. They should be ashamed of themselves for robbing people of their money with this phony service. I tipped 20 dollars and honestly it was 20 dollars more than I wanted to tip. The food -- my God, airplane food tastes better. Their excuse of a salad served on a rectangular plate, I felt like skipping it across the Boston Harbor. Just poor presentation all around. The food was not cooked with any flavor or personality for what you pay for. Do not waste your money here. This is all flash, no fire. Just borrow someone's balcony if you want views like what they provide.
Had a great Valentine’s Day experience celebrating my date and I’s first Valentine’s day together. The view was amazing and the service was high quality.
We had a great time! The view is of course amazing, nice live music, and generous staff. They let us switch our table to a window once one opened up! And they gave me a special birthday cake.
The food, ambiance and experience was amazing! Although we didn't get our window seating because they could not accommodate 6 on a window. Everyone's meals were perfect. The server was so good to us! When our desserts came out the staff put candles on our desserts and congratulated us on our wedding!
The only thing that disturbed my family and I is that the restaurant required button up and no jeans. Well, a group behind us had torn jeans with holes. A few men in the other direction wore a polo with dark blue jeans. Another group had sweaters only on with torn jeans. So the *dress requirement* that is enforced really isn't enforced. Don't get me wrong they did turn away a couple of people while we waited but a few still got by. My friends and family were a little taken back by this.
OTHERWISE when we got our bill we realize we spent a lot less than what we spent in del Frisco's
Amazing. Food, service, everything was phenomenal!
While the food could have used better presentation ... taste was ok and service could have been a tad more attentive.
My daughter and her boyfriend had wonderful filets, cooked perfectly. It was his birthday and he was surprised with a wonderful desert of chocolate with candles. It was a great time for both of them.
Unfortunately, I wanted to pay for their meal to add to the surprise and was in contact with the assistant to the general manager. I did all the paperwork necessary to make this night just perfect. Unfortunately, That did not come through on her end and my daughter had to pay for dinner. I was very disappointed and emailed her and never received a reason for this not happening. So, if you want to have a great dinner with a great view of Boston, this is the place. If you want to pay for that dinner as a surprise, just don't waste your time.
