Tony's of Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
Tony's is our #1 go to for any special occasion, or even just having some appetizers and drinks at the bar. The ambiance is amazing and we love the 3-piece jazz band that plays on the weekends. The service is always top notch and the food is absolutely incredible.
Our party of 5 went to Tony's to celebrate a 60th birthday. Colin, our waiter, was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The wine was very good. The shrimp cocktail was amazing. 4 of us had steaks that were cooked perfectly and were delicious. 1 got pasta which was a deliciously huge portion-great left over bag. We enjoyed the live band, we felt welcome to sit and enjoy our evening without any rush. All in all a great celebration. We will be back.
This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The food was excellent, I chose the Chilean Sea Bass. It was cooked to perfection. The price was well worth it. We will stop and dine there again next time we are in town. It would be nice to have a location in Nashville, TN.
Both food and service were outstanding. However, the noise level was through the roof! It was impossible to have a conversation across the table without almost yelling. We went on Friday night and I'm learning that the popular places (with no carpet, etc. to soften the acoustics) are extremely noisy on the weekends. We will definitely go back, but will try a week night instead; hopefully the noise level won't so negatively affect the ambiance.
We had dinner at Tony's for the first time to celebrate at birthday. Everything was top class, from reservation, food, service, ambiance, to dessert! The food was succulent, some of the best filet I've ever had, everything we ate was delicious. The staff is first rate, very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating all our requests, anticipating our needs, and extremely friendly and personable :) It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Tony's of Cincinnati.
Food and service were both excellent. The waitstaff were attentive without hovering. The managers did a great job walking around the room and introducing themselves. The only complaint was it was a little noisy. While the live performers were good and played a good selection the venue is a little small for this and made conversation difficult however it would not prevent us from returning
We drove 45 minutes to try based upon great reviews on OpenTable. It was well worth it. My wife and I have dined across the area at "nice" restaurants (Ruby, Jags, etc). This ranks right at the top. We loved our wine choice, appetizers, salads, the side we shared and the entrees (we shared). Magnificent. Service was excellent checking with us on menu questions, why we were dining there (hostess and waiter and manager all asked and were welcoming), re-fill wine, etc. Dishes were cleared promptly upon completing appetizers and salads despite a crowded/busy night. Frankly, we were blown away and said we NEEDED to come back for another special occasion.
We went there last Tuesday to celebrate some good things in our life and to have a date. Our waiter- Paul did not rush us and offered many good suggestions. The 2013 Nickel & Nickel was one of the best wines we have ever had! My husband got the special beef medallions and I had so much crab leg appetizer that I couldn't eat an entree' too. The crab was so fresh and delicious. The manager, Jamie stopped by to speak with us, seated us at a booth and continued to check throughout the meal. We had after dinner drinks and a fabulous dessert.
We were celebrating a personal milestone on what happened to be Sweetest Day. The restaurant was incredibly busy but everyone we encountered noted our special evening. Predinner cocktails were terrific. Both had the Dallas Clark perfectly prepared. Started with the crab cake. Best in town-hands down-and believe me we've tried a lot. Kevin paced everything with ease. Can't wait to go back
Had the Dallas Clark and the bone in Pork Chop. Both were excellent. Entire wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. Could not have asked for a nicer meal. Excellent selection of wine and bourbons. Will be back
We received a gift certificate and thought that we would try it out. Upon arrival, the three hostesses barely acknowledged us when I told them we had a reservation. When we sat down, the first thing that we noticed was the techno-pop music playing at a level much too loud for fine dining. Were we in a club or a fine dining restaurant? The place looked like it was built in a converted Ruby Tuesday's or similar establishment. My wife ordered a salmon dish and I ordered a bone in pork chop. I was going to order an a la carte salad when the waiter mentioned that my entree came with a choice of salads. I picked the wedge. When it arrived, the dressing tasted like mayo. Was I eating a BLT? The pork chop was ordered medium and because of it's large size, it was raw in the middle. It also had a very tart sauce that was not complimentary at all. The whipped sweet potatoes were delicious, as were the greens. The service was very good. The prices were high for what we ordered. We live in Fort Thomas and will not be going this far out of our way again anytime soon for a mediocre dining experience at a cost that would have easily bought us a fine meal at Jean Robert's table which is 7 minutes from ur house.
This was our first visit and as our waiter understood, if we didn't come here, we would probably have been at "that other place" down the road (local steakhouse). The food was delicious and the service was "just right". The vibe was less formal than down the street, but the attention to detail was spot on. We told our waiter Scott what we liked and how much we liked to spend and he picked an excellent Cabernet.
As it was an anniversary celebration, I had noted that and requested a "quiet/romantic" seat. We were given one of the high backed booths that remind you of an old time steak house (albeit much brighter, with light colored fabric instead of dark leather) and after dinner, a complimentary desert.
All in all, a perfect night.
We love Tony's and have made this excellent restaurant one of our regulars for special occasions or just for a fun evening. The steaks are fantastic and we would even say - "best" in a city of great steak restaurants. The service is also wonderful. We highly recommend Tony's!
Tony's is an awesome experience. Equally to Morton's and Jeff Ruby's or any other high end steakhouse that my wife and I frequent on special occasions . Food quality and preparedness is worth every penny. The wait staff is great. Our waiter Sage was great and paid attention to our table and our meal. The General Manager (Mike) stopped at our table and engaged in a friendly and caring discussion.
We will be visiting Tony's again.
