Tony's of Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
My sons and I took my wife out for Valentine's Day dinner and had a great time. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Tony, stopped by twice to check on our table and had great conversation. We have been many times and will continue to frequent this great seafood and steakhouse.
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Tony’s. The service was excellent, from keeping our water glasses filled to selecting an excellent vintage Boudreaux for dinner. We will continue to come back to Tony’s, as we feel like honored guests each time we do.
Tony's is quickly becoming a family favorite. Their steaks are perfect, the service is top notch, and we love that they support our school. We have come here for birthdays, date night, and just family dinner. It is not cheap, but is a good value for a great steak dinner. We never leave hungry, enjoy every bite, and always have leftovers to take home.
Great food! The staff was accommodating, adding 2 more to our original reservation for 4. The problem was the noise level. There was a large group who were so loud that we couldn't hear one another. The manager should have worked with them, explaining that other customers were uncomfortable and annoyed.
Another virtuoso performance from the well oiled machine that is Tony's of Cincinnati.
The consistentcy of the quality of the people and the quality of the food here is
awesome! From the moment we were seated Jamie made us feel comfortable. He also took charge by making us aware of an exceptional value on a premium wine that had recently
become available. We took him up on the offer and it was magnificent to have with dinner.
Jamie's slight touches throughout the evening were welcomed and his timing in doing so was impeccable. He's very knowledgable and passionate about wine and genuinely concerned and interested in making sure you're having a good time and enjoying your meal at the highest level.
Our waiter, Colin, did a fantastic job throughout. Attentive and conversational yet instinctive enough to not overdue it with his communication. All the great waiters and waitresses have that
unique knack and that's not easy to find. It makes a big difference in maximizing the dining experience. Ah, and then there's the food. Steaks are always flavorful and cooked to perfection.
Filet, strip, bone-in, porterhouse, all excellent. The Chef DOES need to be commended.
My wife and I went for filet's this time. 9 oz. for her and of course I go for the 12 oz because there's always the opportunity for steak and eggs the following morning this way. The place is
lively and fun but not too loud. The manhattan and martini were made just right to kick off the
evening too. We are so fortunate to have a go to steakhouse where you know you're going to have a guaranteed great meal and night out experience all the time, every time.
Do yourself a favor and get out and enjoy life at Tony's. THE best steakhouse in Cincinnati!
We went to Tony’s for the first time on January 20 for our anniversary. Our reservation was at 8:00. When we arrived the hostess said they were runnIng 10 minutes late. She said we were welcome to get a seat at the bar, which were all full. At 820 we were seated. 8-10 more minutes passed until our waiter first came to our table. We were ready to leave at that point.
We stayed and the experience and service was better, food was excellent. My only qualms are that at this level of fine dining, we feel that if a reservation is made, being prompt is important. We dine a couple times a year at Ruby’s or Eddie Merlots and have never once been seated late.
Make no mistake , the steaks and sides are excellent, just the service at the beginning was lacking. Not sure if we will return with the other choices out there. We can’t dispute the food quality or taste, just service
When we arrived we were told it would be at least 15-20 minutes wait, post reservation time. So, that wasn't that bad. When we were seated they sat us right next to the band, I mean literally 2 feet from the band. It was impossible to converse. We asked our waiter if he could move our table. Within 15 minutes we were seated in the back room, it was very nice. Not sure why they would set a table that close to the band. I noticed that the pricing is slowly creeping higher, it's now on the same scale as the Precinct. One of the attractions of Tony's was great food at an affordable and realistic price. I guess you can no longer say that. They had a veal chop on the menu that night for $72.00. Come On!!! that's ridiculous. So, my rating for Value is only a 3 for that reason. I'll go back if a crowd (friends) wants to go there, but it won't be my first choice anymore.
The food was great and well priced. The service was good , our waiter was very knowledgeable and made good suggestions because it was our first time there. Manager stopped by our table to ask about food and service.
Disliked our table because it was in the middle of several others and to close.
Overall very good as usual. Was very busy apps and entrée took a while but was very good. Waiting for the check for final signature took a very long time. Service was good but with the long wait for the apps and entrees I would have thought the server would have been able to control the wait on the final check.
