Tony's Italian Ristorante
Delicious, the best Italian we've had in a very long time. It all taste like home from Italy! Will return frequently.
Good food. Good service. Linen table cloth and candle light. Reasonably priced.
Fantastic food, fantastic service. Overall this was a great experience. Would highly recommend.
I love this place. Best veal in the city. Great Wedding soup.
Tony’s is the only authentic restaurant left in Columbus. There scratch cooking is a throwback to the days before corporations took over and standardized all food. Please support them with your business for years to come. It’s perfect for all occasions.
Another great dinner at Tony's! Our waitress was attentive, the food was delicious, and the outdoor patio was perfect!
The best veal in town. The veal calabrese is very original and delicious. Veal Saltimbocca was also outstanding. Tony's is also one of the few restaurants in town that serve escargot which is a favorite appetizer.
A pre-theater dinner, so we had a limited amount of time. Our server paced our meal perfectly, making us not seemed rushed. The food was amazing! We had Nonnies chicken and the wvwning specials a chicken type marsala with shrimp and salmon with a similar sauce but with capers. The only thing slightly not up to par was the spaghetti side. The sauce seemed heavy on some herb. But we commented all night how good the food was. We will be back!
We feel like we’re on vacation when we dine here. Everything about the place takes us away from the daily grind. The only thing I would highly recommend would be Italian theme music to complete the ambiance.
The food tasted absolutely amazing and was very reasonably priced for the atmosphere and food quality.
Tony's is a go-to destination for a white tablecloth, high quality dining experience.
This restaurant is ready to join the list of failed restaurants. We’ve all seen this movie. Low traffic due to poor standards, serving dismal dining experiences one table at a time eventually ends in closure. Tony’s Italian Ristorante misses the mark on many levels and fails to meet even the most basic needs of their guests. After reading all the reviews, there is a consistent theme of bad service and bad experiences. It was our mistake for not doing our homework first. Will not be back.
Excellent service and exceptionally good food!
Tony's looked inviting and it was...the setting of the tables and arch ways are nice, decorative, and seemingly a place speaking to quality. However, the food was less than desirable. The marinara sauce tasted like that from a can, and the amount of linguine was pre-portioned in a cup. Our waiter seemed like an older gentleman who had being doing this job for many years and hates it. He actually said once I ordered, "All that and all you ordered was ...." He removed our wine glasses without asking if we would have liked another glass. Then came back a different time to the table to ask us if we wanted more wine.
The bartender was less than knowledgeable when asked initially about the wine menu.
The ambiance was unforgettably marred by the bad food and even poorer service.
Usually a great experience at Tony's, we had a disappointing one last Friday. Our (overworked!) waitress had to be reminded multiple times to bring back our drinks from being filled or provide us with more bread/butter. Also, the bread basket contains only the ends of many loaves of bread. The meals tasted great but the proportions seem to have significantly decreased since we were there last. It is unlikely we will return to Tony's.
Always great food
This was one of the worst meals we had at Tony’s. It’s going to be a long time before we go back.
This a good consistent Italian restaurant. Portions are not overly large but ample. Pretty good wine list. Reservation are a recommended especially on Friday and Saturday
Show at the Palace
Always love eating here. Great service and very good food. Great place for a romantic evening out.
Great Italian restaurant. We liked it so much, we booked it for the rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding. Met Tony. Nice guy. I’ll be back.
This is hands-down the best garlic bread around. The soup was amazing and my husband had the veal, which was super. I got the lasagna didn’t care for the peppers in it which threw the taste off.
Tony's was great. We love this place especially for a pre-concert dinner. The food is a beautiful light Italian fare. The service was impeccable and timed perfectly . We definitely recommend Tony's to anyone who wants to enjoy a fantastic meal and be able to carry on a conversation.
Our server was dry, no personality, never greeted us, never introduced himself, never asked how our meal was. He brought our food and drinks but didn't speak. It was to the point of ruining our evening out because he made his presence so uncomfortable and made us feel like an inconvenience.
Convenient for dinner before show at Palace Theater
The seafood and chicken specials were both delightful.
Tony's Own Fettuccine was disappointing; more sauce than pasta, shrimp and scallaops were small salad size pieces and crab looked like strips of imitation crab. There was so much suave I could not taste anything else. On a positive note the ambiance was nice, service good and appetizers and soup were excellent.
Really enjoyed the evening. Wasn't rushed and had an excellent server. First that I've been there for some time, but am looking forward to returning again.
Service was excellent and the food delicious! I will definitely return.
Tony's has the best veal and wedding soup in the Columbus area. It is absolutely my favorite restaurant.
The food was absolutely amazing and our server was on top of it the whole time! They have the best Italian dressing I’ve ever had, and I cleaned every single plate including dessert. We will definitely be back very soon!
For some reason that I cannot remember, it has been many years since we have dined at Tony's, but we are so glad that we thought to go there for dinner on Friday night. The ease of parking in one of their lots made it easy to do so, and we were in for a pleasant surprise once we entered the restaurant.
The old interior consisting of small dining rooms has been replaced (apparently several years ago) with a lovely dining room with vaulted ceilings and a Tuscan or Umbrian vibe. We received a warm welcome from the host who showed us to our table. I had made some requests about the kind of table we preferred, and happily, they honored our request.
The server was very nice and very professional, and he was also willing and able to answer questions and comment on some of the menu items we were considering. When the wedding soup arrived and was so delicious, it reminded us of wedding soup we have had in Italy and in the home of Italian friends. I loved my fettuccine madonna, which was so yummy it was almost addictive, and my husband really enjoyed his veal scallopine. We shared the limoncello cake, which we both enjoyed.
Our experience at Tony's was excellent, and we plan to visit again soon.
Be prepared to wait. The restaurant was small, which allowed for little servers, and long wait list. Having a reservation didn’t matter, because upon walking in, we were told to wait for 15 minutes which turned into 30. Normally I wouldn’t complain, or even notice, but their were open tables all over and the lobby was full of people waiting to sit. The dynamic between the owner, and the staff is bizarre and shows unprofessionalism. The food was just alright, however the cannoli was above average. I’m unsure if we will be back.
Wonderful restaurant. You definitely need reservations and they time things out well. Very nice wine list with some great wines. The food....in a word was delightful.
Our dinner at Tony’s was very nice. I like that it’s not loud like so many restaurants are now. Food and service was excellent.
The food was really good. The wait for our table was over 30minutes past our reservation time.
Our server was excellent, the meals were very good and the lemon cake was out of this world. Only complaint is that others with he same reservation time were seated before us even though we checked in 10 min before they did.
Veal San Marino is the most fabulous veal dish I have eaten. Order with spaghetti in oil or butter with grated cheese. Mix in with veal sauce . Fsbulous
Had to get an extra cannoli to go, because they were so good!
