Valentine Disappointment. Upon arrival was seated promptly and given a limited menu for valentines day that did not have what we had planned to order. Went ahead and ordered veal parm and the Madonna. Veal parm was just luke warm, pounded so thin it was mostly breading and a tiny partial cup of pasta. The Madonna was a large serving but it was like drinking Italian olive oil right out of the bottle. All you could taste was oil, oil, oil.
We had high hopes and had been wanting to try Tony's for a long time so it is regrettable that we had to rate this so low.
The food tasted good but the portions were VERY small. In addition, if you have the house salad which is included with an entree, you may be asked if you'd like blue cheese crumbs with it. We got no warning that there would be a charge for that. We were each charged $1. A dollar is not much, but it was for a tiny amount of crumbs (in line with tiny portions elsewhere in the meal) and it was more the principle. If you offer something, you should disclose if it's going to cost extra. Or else just put it on the menu in the extras and let people decide for themselves. On the bright side, the food (tiny portions) tasted very good and the atmosphere was very nice. It's a nice atmosphere for a date
Have been here many times over the years and it has always been good. But the food on our most recent visit seemed a bit off. The sauces and pasta were not quite as good as I remember them. Bread and salads were still excellent and the cannoli for dessert was outstanding. Prices are reasonable and it's a very nice atmosphere. Serivce seemed a bit rushed, but it was a Saturday night and the place was busy. Tony is always around and greets everyone himself. I am hoping that this visit was an abberation and will certainly be back.
Have been going to Tony’s for over 35 years and it never disappoints. Don’t think I have ever been there that Tony hasn’t personally greeted and escorted us to our table. On site visible ownership speaks volumes. Fettuccine Madonna or Tony’s Favorite are at the top of my list. Is this the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to....... well actually no. It is however right up near the top of my list.
This was my first time at Tony’s. A coworker had told me it was a nice white tablecloth, special date, low-lights kinda place and that the wait staff were high caliber. However, I was suspicious of the review as my friend is approximately one hundred and forty-five years old, so the last time he went there could very possibly have been in 1974. The evening of of my date, I realized all my worry was for naught. The following is not a statement I make lightly. Tony’s Italian is the best romantic restaurant I have ever experienced. The food is fantastic. The candle light reflecting off the ivory colored plaster would put a Marine Corps drill Sergeant with a terrible toothache in a romantic mood. When I say that the wait staff was professional, I don’t mean that they acted professionally. I mean they were professional servers. It was easy to see this was not a gap-filler for our server, Mike, but it was his vocation. And he was at the top of it. The veal saltimboca I ordered was tender, breaded with restraint, and perfectly seasoned. It was covered with fresh mushrooms and a beautifully bright marsala. My wife went with “Tony’s Own Fettuccine,” which was served with a thick cram sauces and generously stuffed with crab, shrimp and tender scallions. Before we talk about price, it should be noted that I am cheap. I have been known to empty entire boxes of produce at Aldi, so I wouldn’t have to by a ten cent grocery bag. It’s also worth mentioning that neither of us drink and we didn’t opt for dessert. That being said, even I was shocked when we left the restaurant after paying $40.74 plus tip. Whaa??? Is this the Craker Barrel? Maybe one of those hidden camera shows? No. It’s my new favorite place.
We had the trout and Tony’s signature seafood Alfredo. Both were amazing! And the lemon cello cake by itself was worth the visit! Excellent service, quiet ambience. It’s become one of our new favorites - even though it’s been there a long time, we kept forgetting to give it a try.
Our lasagna arrived cold, and without many of the 'layers' of noodles advertised. We asked for half portions, and were offered 'lunch' portions, which was fine, but we were charged for FOUR portions at full price. When we questioned our waiter (since the manager never came to our table to see how our meal was...) he did reduce the bill by two portions, but the price of the promised 'lunch' portion was not as advertised and we were still overcharged. The bread had a chemical taste to it, and our waiter was overworked to provide timely attention to at least our table. We will not be back.
We were met at the door by Toni himself. I said you must be Toni he said I am in his retired gangster voice. I felt we were in a scene of a movie.He sat us and resumed pacing. I gather he runs a tight ship. It was not busy we had reservations at 7:00/7:30. Our waitress was attentive and paced for us just right. It was our Anniversary. She apologize and thought she was not there for us as Toni asked her to help with a outside large group. Do not order the dessert. Not made in house. No pastry chief (industrial ). The bruschetta is to die for. I make better Caesar Salad dressing. And my husband said your Lasagna is much better. I have to agree. My pasta was good. Good enough to box up. It is a very cute place out of the way. Visit Toni He is waiting to meet you.

make you feel you have to leave because of all the noise.
Tony is always very welcoming and genuinely appreciates the patronage of his restaurant. The food and ambience is wonderful. I like that the food is healthier than most Italian and a bit lighter as he uses fresh ingredients. Server has always made great recommendations that we appreciate
We wanted a new option for dinner for my 40th birthday and selected Tony's. I made a reservation for 4 at 6:30. We waited over 30 minutes for a table despite the restaurant being half empty. The waiter was nice but was new so he had to ask the manager several of our questions. The food was adequate but not worth the price - Olive Garden quality with an Olive Garden price. I didn't want Chaim Italian food - I wanted authentic as Tony's claimed to be
Our meal was excellent and the atmosphere was very cozy and filled with regulars who know Tony and love his restaurant. We recommend it for special occasions or just for a great affordable meal on a work night when we don't want to cook at home. We will definitely come back.
