Tony Roma's - Miami - Doral Ratings and Reviews
My girlfriends, son, and I decided to eat here for Thanksgiving. I was so glad to find out that we did not have to just order from the Thanksgiving menu...made eating my dinner so much more enjoyable. We also did not have a long wait time to receive our food.
Wife and I went to Tony Roma's for our 32nd Anniversary dinner. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered, but our baked potatoes were dry and seemed like they had been reheated from the night before. The tomato bisque was ok, but not very much flavor - rather bland. The rolls were good, but should have been a lot warmer. Their "World-Famous" onion loaf was excellent - piping hot and very tasty. Overall, a little pricey for what you get, but enjoyable nonetheless.
I made a reservation online for 815pm. When we got there, we saw that this restaurant is closed. There should be some type of warning for people to know this. We came a long way and had to start looking around for another restaurant in the area. Very disappointing.
I'm assuming because it was Mother's Day the food choices were limited and over priced from what we were accustomed to, which drew us to Tony Romas in the first place. They would not accommodate us, and basically said that you could only choose this or that. Been going to that Tony Romas for probably the past 12 Years for this occasion, and if it stays like this it will more than likely be our last.
Fast friendly service. New BBQ chmicken very meaty and flavourful. Chilean salmon at best, average and both vegetable sides were both overcooked and very small portions, particularly when compared to the huge portions of French fries served up. So healthier choices are not great value for money.
We are very disappointed about our experience at Tony Romas. We originally had made reservations for a group of six, but at the end more family members decided to join us an where on their way. I soon as I got to the restaurant I asked to change it to twelve people instead. I explained half of us where already at the place and the other half where five minutes away, since we had children we asked to be sitted and where told NO. definitely NO until everyone was there. The place was empty, there where plenty tables if they didn't want to hold a table in order not to lose sitting space for others (which I can understand) We mentioned that we would have to go somewhere else then since they where not willing to accommodate us and still didn't work anything out with us. We ended up going to Red Lobster down the street which by the way there are a lot of restaurants on that same street. there is competition. why would you not try to keep the customer. Do you not need business because you feel you are too big. Do you not care about people only about guidelines and regulations. I have done customer service for many years and I can tell you it is really bad customer service and sales strategy. a sales counts and is important no matter how big or small. No wonder there are not too many Tony Romas left open. If business was that good for you guys you would multiply instead of closing them, but no wonder with that kind of management you have at your locations. I will make sure I share this experience with the people I know.
Very good and really appreciated service and food, they apparently changed menu to be similar to outback and I think they are doing a pretty good job, the asiago cheese crumble topping for steak is soooo good!!! Also they have very good corn and baked potatoes. My dad like the ribs, a classic. Six people with some alcohol was 200. One was a baby so the plates with drinks were about 35pp bc there was a free Arnold Palmer so some people didn't pay for drinks.
Went to Tony's this afternoon for lunch with my sister, I had the privilege of being waited on by Teresa, WOW is all I can say! I regularly eat out and I'm telling she is so far beyond awesome! Her conversation, her timing, her attention to detail, her ability to discuss the menu and certainly awesome recommendations! When I go back to this Tony's it will be to have her wait on my party!
First time coming to this location. I had a reservation for 8pm, took awhile to get a table but then again it was Mother's Day so I understand the wait. Our service was nice and pleasant but forgot who order what so there was a lot of move plates around. The drink were on point and at a fair price. I don't know if they had a lighting problem but randomly the lights would go from dim to bright back to dim and so fourth for about 10mins. Overall it's a nice place, food was good and plus my mom had a good time so I'm happy overall about my experience and so was she.
From the moment our party of 7 arrived, we were seated and our waitress greeted us. From that point forward, she was attentive, friendly, helpful and above all very quick with our requests.
The food was outstanding! No complaints from any of the folks in group.
Overall, the experience was great. Besides taking our mom out for Mother's Day, we all enjoyed the ambiance and service at the restaurant.
This is not the Tony Roma's I know from way back when. Quite a surprise in the menu. Food was delicious and well presented. Server was very attentive and on point with service needs. Good value. My clients were happy. I will definitely add to my list f places for business and pleasure when I am in the Doral areacl
We made reservations for New Years Eve at 7pm. I was surprised when we arrived and there were many tables open. That should have been my first clue. Our drinks were fine but unfortunately that's where the compliments end. The appetizer was a letdown. Soup and salad were average but edible. We were told half way through the salad that we may not be able to have the baked potatoes with our meal and we would need to replace it with rice or mashed. They never said why. There were 4 of us for dinner. Two of our plates were served. We waited for the others to be served. One more dinner came. We 3 still waited to eat for the 4th. When the 4th finally came out, it was too rare to eat. We were told that his original steak was given to someone else. More disturbing, the waiter said that there were too many cuts in it to serve to us after. Yuck! The steak they finally brought was a new steak but they rushed and did not cook it long enough. It was taken back and cooked a little more. We were told we could have one free desert for our trouble. We declined. Needless to say, we were not impressed and I do not want to go back to some place that would try to serve me something they presented to another table.
I last went to Tony Roma's in NYC decades ago. We've been meaning to revisit it for a while and were really surprised at what a great visit it was. Great drinks and craft beers started the night. The trust onion loaf came next. It was perfectly cooked and delicious though left a little too oily. My ribs were great, as it is their claim to fame and my dates shrimp scampi pasta was delicious and plentiful enough to have for lunch the next day. The peach blackberry cobbler was a little too hard and thick crusted, wish it had more filling. Overall a great meal and a great time.
