   Eating outside led to a lot of people-watching which was fun. Unfortunately, the raw oysters weren’t much fun- not shucked free, and lots of debris to pick out, and my cocktail was warm. I liked the steam pot seafood, others liked the shrimp salad sandwich. Pretty mixed overall

   My wife and I enjoyed a nice Sunday dinner. The restaurant was very busy. My wife had the cedar plank salmon and I had the whole branzino. We paired the meal with a bottle of Marlborough sauvignon blanc. We both had the toffee cake dessert. I was disappointed that they were out of the coffee ice cream although my wife preferred the vanilla. The service was adequate with several dead spots. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner.

   Server was very inattentive. She was upset with us because we did not tip her enough based off the “service [she] provided”. She approached us and laughed in our face and walked off when we explained she had only checked on our table twice. That is absolutely not exaggerated…. Poor quality service for sure. Won’t be back or recommend to a friend. Wish we would have reserved elsewhere. Had this planned for a month. Disappointed.

    Tony and Joe's is a reliable restaurant with a beautiful view. The food in fine, just nothing outstanding. The day we visited, it was a beautiful Sunday so the restaurant became pretty packed about a half hour into our arrival. I believe the waitress did her best; just had too many table to handle to include a large party. There was a longer lag time between table visits to ask if we needed anything, give the dessert menus, and ultimately to get our check. But, I would still recommend this restaurant for the pleasant staff and experience with an amazing view.

    Service was mediocre. Calamari was tasty but very small portions. The overall value was underwhelming. Watch for the 5% service fee on top of your final bill.

    Good food, very fair price, good service for a group of 8. Brussel sprouts were excellent, served everyone at the table with some to spare. Very tasty appetizer. Shrimp and Grits were OK, but not as expected. Grits were watery and not hot, no cheese, little flavor. Shrimp was fresh.

    Went to Tony and Joe’s after my son’s college graduation. Made a reservation for 7 and our table was comfy…plenty of room. Our waiter was awesome…very professional. Food was delicious and came out rather quickly. The view was beautiful and just a different part of DC to see. I would highly recommend.

    On a clear spring day, youd be hard pressed to find a more lovely ambiance than this place. The food portions were amazingly generous, and the prices were reasonable for the Georgetown waterfront. My only concern is that there were a lot of waitstaff, and many of them on their phones and not terribly concerned about what was going on with their tables.

    Waited forty minutes for drinks, over an hour food. Food arrived cold. Waiter was no where to be found until we had been there over an hour and were to tired to go anywhere else.

    We ate using a Groupon for complete meals for two. The allowed selections included most of the menu, excluding only a few items like lobster or crab cakes. The food volume was huge and we took half home. Food was done perfectly and taste was great. Waiters mostly spoke Spanish so some communication issues, but overall we had good service. Monday evening was quiet and we had a nice view of the Potomac.

    Should have known that on a beautiful day by the waterside in Georgetown, when every other restaurant was packed, this one wasn't and the experience was mediocre at best. The food wasn't great, but not horrible, but the service was abysmal. All that server wanted to do was move us through. Not a smile. We felt rushed (when the restaurant was only half full).     I dined at Tony and Joe's Seafood Place for a Pre-Theater meal before going to the Kennedy Center to hear the Symphony at 7:00 PM. My meal was served in a timely manner and I had no issues with ar iving on time for the concert. (Reservation was at 5:00.). My meal was delicious and the wait staff and reception were polite, friendly and helpful. I would return here again next time I travel to DC.

    We were a table of 8, celebrating a family member's 50th birthday. It could not have been a better experience. First, the service we received from Steve was truly exemplary. With many complexities of ordering, different needs, and so forth, Steve's ideal personality for such a job, his obvious intelligence, and experience made the evening work out so well. Second, we all enjoyed the choices and had we wanted, all delicious. Third, we had a few birthday related needs and they were handled so well. Fourth, although the restaurant was very busy with many different families and friends, the spaciousness of the place, spacing of tables, and related sounds ( e.g. no loud music), we were all able to have wonderful conversations which are so often impossible. We are very grateful for the experience. We appreciated Tony's stopping by. Oh, and the views are lovely too.

    Service was terrible. Food came out cold. When I told the server my crab cake and vegetables were cold she said “aw, the streamer went down and and everyone was running around like crazy.” Had to send plate back to get cooked while the others ate their food. No mention of I’m sorry, no mention of let me get manager. They should’ve informed of us about the steamer and let his decide if we wanted to stay or go. Meal was pricey for what I received and the quality of food. To top of the dinner, the gratuity was included in our bill for a party of 5! A 20% gratuity that deserved many 10%. Also, brought iced tea to our table with NO ICE. Her response was “oh you wanted ice?. I do not recommend this place. I usually don’t write reviews like this, but this is a place to stay away from unless you want overpriced seafood, more like a chain seafood place.
