Tony & Joe’s has a great location—right on the waterfront in Georgetown with beautiful views, especially around sunset. We stopped in during happy hour, which had some nice drink specials, but unfortunately the experience was a bit uneven from there. At the bar, the drinks were fine, but the bartender added other people’s drinks to our tab without asking, which was frustrating. Later, when our party of 10 was seated, it took nearly 30 minutes before anyone came by to take our order. Some of us ended up going back to the bar just to get a few apps and more drinks while we waited. Once we were finally able to place our order, the food came out quickly and was quite good. I had the clam chowder, and I would definitely recommend it—it was flavorful and hearty. Overall, the setting is lovely and the food was good, but the service was inconsistent, especially for a group. This could be a great spot with just a bit more attention to detail.

Waiter was friendly and helpful. I ordered the crab claws. Was delish. Restaurant does not have crab picks to get crab meat out of legs which would’ve been helpful. Took me forever to eat because of this. Lol! My partner had the crab cake sandwich which he enjoyed. Bottle of cab Sauv was 👍🏻. Overall, a fun dinner.

We went on a Saturday evening in June. Weather was gorgeous so we sat outside. Big mistake. This place is right on a pier so we were about 50 ft away from multiple tied off boats with screaming loud sound systems all trying to out-loud each other. The music was filled with expletives and the restaurant did nothing to try and stop this so I can only assume this is the accepted norm. Definitely consider this if you’re bringing children or anyone with common decency for that matter. We had to yell to hear each other. We should’ve asked for inside seating but we didn’t know. The food: cod and crabmeat was very good, my son enjoyed his burger and the chicken finger salad was ok. Would not recommend the calamari appetizer as the rings are very thick and the coating falls off when you try to dip them. The sauce for this app was too sweet. Overall: pass.

Good food in a dynamic location and close to the Kennedy Center. Server was excellent! …very friendly and helpful amd sensitive to the fact we had a show to get to.

The crabcake sandwich was delicious. Great place for dining alfresco with a waterfront view.

We had a fantastic time at Tony & Joe's before going to Blues Alley for a concert. Traffic was horrible due to a downed tree on I66. They were very accommodating. We started outside and had wonderful appetizers including the spicy shrimp. It was going to rain so we moved inside for our entrees. The branzino was incredible. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we will be back many more times.

Foods was phenomenal but it seems as if being a solo patron I was disregarded as someone to provide standard service to and they weren’t busy. Hearing your drink clunked onto the table as the waiter announces it as he walks away, my food delivery was handled very similarly. The food on the other-hand was outstanding.

Bad to mediocre food, horribly inattentive wait staff. If you sit outside, you'll be seated at rusty tables. Horrible value for the experience, plus you're hit with a 5% fee added to menu prices. We do not recommend this place. Go to the Wharf where there are much better restaurants with decent service.
