Delicious food and great service. Cool place to take a date. Great views of the water
it was a great experience as usual - the only bad marks would be that: it was a bit noisy, and there was something going on with the eggs at the omelet station... they did not taste like real/actual eggs
It was my mom’s 76th Birthday lunch, and she was very impressed!
Had a very nice lunch! My guest and I enjoyed the crab & shrimp dip, open faced shrimp salad sandwich, fried clams and french fries. We took some home with us. The weather was not pleasant, but we did get this beautiful shot from our table by the window.
We discovered this place through groupon. I guess you pay half the price and you get half the service. Rushing us through our meal, not checking on us so I have to ask 3 times to order a cocktails.
Maybe the server was afraid we are going to tip on the groupon price, which we could not do. But for sure he deserved that.
My wife and I visit for brunch frequently and we always have a great experience.
Nice Experience! Will tell others about Tony and Joe’s. Will come back again!
Family Thanksgiving dinner
Great spot. T the turkey, leg of lamb, roast beef, honey ham, side dishes, oysters, shrimp, salmon, salads, and deserts were all absolutely amazing. Not one dislike or issue with any food items. The price ($45) was reasonable when you figure in all the choices (all-u-can-eat) compared to many other restaurants that served just an entree for nearly the same price. We have had the Sunday Brunch during the summer which was equally amazing, but this was above our expectations. Would have given this ten stars if possible.
Over the years the quality of the annual Thanksgiving meal continues to change to less quality of food. The only portion of the meal the remains quality is the Salad and seafood table.
The dressings this year were awful. The meals were not tasty, the deserts were showed no creativity nor imagination. There is to be mint sauce first the lamb to compensate for the dryness of it. The master potatoes were processed and the green beans just needed to be tossed out.
What has happened to the classy, topnotch TG meal of yesteryear is really disappointing . Next year we are rethinking returnig yet another year.
Great food, awesome ambiance! Hubby and I reserved a late evening appointment due to hectic schedules. Upon arrival we were impressed with the lighting and
romantic setting. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere reminded us of our date nights (pre- children) 20 years ago! Highly recommend.
Excellent food and good courteous service.
The restaurant’s Dave Parra was especially kind and helpful in restoring the voucher that Groupon’s decidedly unhelpful website would not allow me to download or print.
Great restaurant for the food, location and ambiance, and great for a date (which is why we chose this location).
Would be nice to have crab legs at Sunday's Brunch
I had dinenr there Friday November 9,2018 and man !!! Their food was great !!! I ordered I believe a honey salmon salad which was huge ! Then the pork chops with potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I was so full off the salad I couldn’t finish my actual dinner. Both were great. My waiter was always spot on and I never had to wait or ask for anything. He would notice our glass was getting low and would come back to refill. I can’t wait to go back !!!
Good food but very overpriced. Would return only for happy hour.
Rats were outside. Mice were inside. I would NEVER go back for dining. In the summer, I can imagine the a drink on the patio. The view is GREAT!
The food was very good! The server had no personality and only came to the table
To drop off food or drink. The fire alarm in the building went off while we were dining and stayed on for about 15-20minutes. The manager did come around to speak to each table and explain that there was no emergency, which I appreciated. Over all, I would suggest this place for good food and a great view of the waterfront.. but don’t expect much else outside of that
The service was excellent, the food well prepared and seating was comfortable -- not cramped. The view of the water at dusk into the night was lovely along with the general ambience of the restaurant was perfect for a romantic and cozy anniversary celebration. It's also great for just a fun night out.
Previous visit went well. Great view. However, on this trip I order mahi mahi. My spouse ordered the salad with grilled chicken. the chicken was not good. The chicken was way too salty as if dipped in salt. I advised the waiter and no action was taken or offer received to replace or remove the salad with chicken from the check
Fresh and honest & creative. A beautiful venue on the Potomac!
Loved our food. Noise level made us anxious to pay and be on our way.
It is in the center of action with beautiful views. However, the service was inattentive, they appeared to be under staffed. My partner had the "Maryland" Crab Cakes. For the price it was a disappointment. It was devoid of lump crab meat and tiny. I tried the Chesapeake Steam Pot. It was delicious but the mussels were laughably tiny. More to the point, there were 3 unopened mussels in the dish. That speaks to the quality of the kitchen staff. Given the other good reviews, perhaps we came on an off night.
The fish dishes were extremely tasty and the brownie dessert was delicious. Lovely ambiance & great service!
We were spending weekend in Washington DC. Used OpenTable and found this restaurant was near and had spaces available with short notice. Perhaps there was a reason for that.
Food was not great, but pleasant. Drinks were good. The service...horrible. We had a very inattentive server, which culminated with us trying to get our check to leave but watching the server serve tables around us, and not bringing the check after we had asked for it. After about 10 minutes, two of my guests got frustrated and left me in the restaurant still waiting for my check. Eventually I had to get the attention of someone else just so I could pay and leave. That really summed up my night at this restaurant.
I usually give a minimum of 15% tip with my norm at 20%. On this occasion I left 10%, something I have not done in many years.
Great as always. Unfortunately the Sea Walls were up due to Hurricane Florence so we missed the beautiful views.
We had a fun time.
Wonderful food, great service and a beautiful short walk to the Kennedy Center.
Service was terrible.
The food was just average, nothing special. The prices definitely reflect the location more than the food. I used the restroom at one point, and the restroom attendant was using her phone; I didn't even realize she was an attendant until she handed the lady after me a paper towel.
Expected more from a DC waterfront restaurant in regards to the food taste. The shareable appetizer of the shrimp and crab dip was better than my actually crabcakes entree & short rib entree my boyfriend ordered. High stars for location, ambiance, & service. Would probably only return for drinks and appetizers.
Good food but a big
The Sunday brunch buffet was very good! Lots of options and food. Fresh seafood, great service. Seating inside wasn't too packed and the live music was soulful and not too loud. The bar scene outside and inside seemed vibrant. The bottomless mimosas were kind of strong. I loved the crab dip. Def. a place to go too but if you are on a diet beware you will WANT everything!
Cesar salad and Cedar plank Salmon was bland. Chicken was the best I ever tasted
The location and food were very good, the service was fair to poor.
We were very happy with the Oysters and the cedar plank salmon was wonderfully prepared! Our server Jose was a pleasure!
Great weather and view so chose patio dining. However their adjacent bar patio allows smoking! We were seated but the cigar smoke was overwhelming. They moved to a distant table away from cigar odor that was by the garbage ( smelled better that the cigar). No apology and all the patio tables are dirty metal wobbly old items, soooooooooo we took the food home and enjoyed it the next day!
Not worth the $100 food cost for the patio experience.
Great view, even better food!
Good prices, excellent food & service. Sat inside with a great view of the harbor. Made the birthday celebration more special.
Great restaurant, waitor Dillon was awesome! Boats docked were a little loud.
