Awesome wait staff, food and value. So good, we are at Legal Sea Food again today!
Always a pleasure to dine at Tony and Joe’s!
We had a very special evening there, with a table overlooking the waterfront. Our meal and our service was excellent.
Food was amazing, and service was even better! I made reservation online and requested a quieter table by a window with a view, if possible, since my husband and I were there to celebrate his 60 th birthday. This was our his first time in Washington DC and our first time at this restaurant. Well --- we were SO impressed with the table reserved for us --- it was everything we wanted and more! Thanks for helping to make the day special for my husband!
Father’s Day dinner and everything was excellent especially the crab cake
Father's Day brunch with my hubby. Brunch was fabulous as usual!
Father’s Day dinner. This place is large it’s energetic, it’s very loud. I would’ve rather have eaten outside where it was actually quieter. We sat down and within a five minutes we had 3 servers come over to welcome us and take our order...seemed unorganized. The food was really good though.
Disappointing dinner. Food was very ordinary but prices were very high. Service was slow. Views of the river were unavailable due to a meeting. Furniture in dining room is quite beat-up looking. This is a tourist spot because of its enviable location but without that the restaurant would not make it.
Seafood was outstanding - Chesapeake oysters were fresh and the calamari was quite addictive garnished with banana peppers! Will most definitely return for dinner.
Great place to have dinner before seeing a show. Restaurant is walkable to the Kennedy Center and offers a relaxed waterfront view.
Just awful food. Really barely edible. I had steamed clams that were un-chewable and my daughter had mussels which tasted like low tide. I guess that explains why it was completely empty at 12:30 on a weekday.
This was my first time eating here. Food was very good. The drinks could have been better but overall it was fine. I would dine here again.
The food, service and ambiance were great!! We had dinner on the patio during sunset and sat right near the boardwalk. So much fun! Only small downside would be the people coming in to dock. There were two boats trying to “compete” for loudest music so that made it hard to hear one another. Thankfully the one louder group didn’t stay that long. Overall, I would recommend this place for the views and food! So good!!
Such a sexy vibe to chill outside enjoying the vibe of the Georgetown waterfront
Kids burger was over cooked but salmon was delicious
Great seafood meal! The outside table was great except that the fountain was a little intense and loud. Apparently the flood wall was up so the ambience was different than usual.
The restaurant wasn't what I would expect from Open Table's recommendation.
This was awful,! Restaurant was dirty, noisy, service was below par and my dinner was terrible. I ordered a caprese salad with a piece of grilled chicken. The chicken looked disgusting. And took it off the plate immediately. The salad was even worse. Seemed like they poured a bottle of olive oil on it. Took a few bites and the cheese tasted sour. Pushed it aside and did not eat it. Next morning was sick. How can you ruin a basic Salad? I will never go back again. They did take the salad off my bill without asking which was good.
Very busy place but it was just after GWU graduation ceremony at national mall. Service was good and efficient. Food was good- crab cakes and softshell crab were outstanding.
Service was slow. Atmosphere very nice
Had great dinner. Ordered raw bar clams, son had calamari, husband had lettuce wraps. All made perfectly. Crab cake for dinner gad tons of lump meat. Definitely reccomend
Loved the location, the food was incredible, oysters were a dream!
Great place to dine with the family and friends. would highly recommend
Delicious food. Spacious location. I intend to visit again.
Excellent experience first Mother's Day. Food was delicious and music was great. Service was impeccable
Food was outstanding, I do not eat seafood and had the mushroom risotto, fabulous! Husband had the shrimp cocktail for starters and I had the spicy lettuce wraps, outstanding. Husband had the spicy red fish, he enjoyed but not as much as I did mine!
Couldn’t enjoy good to good only because it was freezing
Location and view were excellent but unfortunately the service was slow and food was average and over priced. Go for the scenery but not the food.
FIST TIME THERE FOR SMALL BIRTHDAY PARTY. GREAT PLACE,FRIENDLY STUFF, GOOD FOOD,GREAT VIEW!! NEVER REGRET!!
Great experience all around. Our table was right on the edge of the patio near the water and the weather was amazing. The waiter had a great sense of humor and provided great service. The food was fresh and tasty.
We ate outside on a beautiful day. Food was OK, nothing to rave about. The tables outside need painting. The white wine was not chilled until we asked for it. But it was a wonderful day. Food tasty, but I had a crab cake sandwich. Small sandwich and the plate smothered in French Fries. A pet peeve of mine. I can get French Fries for $2. Please be imaginative in your sides if you are going to charge $18 for a meal.
Wine price was reasonable. Service was nice. Everyone was pleasant. A good experience though don't expect to be blown away by the food.
We had a fantastic lunch outside beside the river. The steamed muscles were amazing. Also had the chilled seafood platter. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Steamed half lobster. Shared a basket of fried clam strips. They were so fresh tender and tasty!
Yummy food in a beautiful and relaxing outdoor setting.
Great food, slightly slow service but 5hat gave us more time to enjoy the ambiance!
Very disappointed in seating. A corner, facing a partition. Pictures on line not indicative of reality.
Sitting outside was really nice with great view and atmosphere. Food was good, service is excellent.
Overall an excellent restaurant with great service and delicious food.
although we had a indoor reservation, we chose to sit outdoors with the Happy hour crowd. That resulted in a noisier experience but one filled with a better boardwalk and river view. Activities from patrons and boardwalk kept our attention as it was a beautiful day and folks were doing their after work thing. A bit expensive but the food was fine, service attentive. Probably outside is cheerier for the Happy Hour drinks and appetizer moment. Did not regret our choice at all.
The Sunday brunch is amazing. I am typically not a big fan of buffets, but Tony and Joes's offers a large variety of fresh seafood, salads, and traditional brunch items. I opted for the bottomless mimosas, and the waiter kept them coming! The only drawback is that the buffet is advertised on Yelp and other sites as $35/person. It is actually $45 per person. The extra $20 (for a party of two) was an unexpected addition. It will not stop us from going back, but it would have been god to know in the beginning.
