We chose to dine outside. Service was fast and friendly. Food and drinks were delicious. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. Will most definitely dine here again.
I really enjoyed my time & it was Grwat to meet the owner. I enjoyed the shrimp & crab it was out of this world. Grwat food as well.
Our food was very good. Our service was not good. No eye contact. Spoke very quiet. Wasn’t sure of himself. No confidence. Water glasses sat empty. Wasn’t available for help.
Location was great. Had a table near the waterfront. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The only minor issue was the waiter. He wasn’t very professional or knowledgeable. Other than that, experience was very good
Had no problem snagging a reservation for a late brunch. The host seated us right away at a table next to the window so we were able to look out to the water. There was plenty to choose from on the buffet; made to order omelettes, waffle station, carved prime rib and turkey, salad an dessert stations. The food was good for the most part but it was not worth the $45 per person; $25 per child. We added on the unlimited mimosa option for an additional $10 per person. Overall not a bad experience, the ambiance and no wait it was pushed us to this restaurant.
Our waiter was not attentive.
We ordered the chilled platter the lobster was undercooked and not eatable....... it made us just want to leave...
Food was really good and well worth the price. Plate portions were huge and the view was amazing!
Beautiful location! So nice to sit and watch everyone enjoying the Potomac while enjoying a delicious dinner! Nice array of offerings on the and attentive staff made this an enjoyable experience.
we were a party of 6. One person in our party did not get served until 15 minutes later, they did acknowledge their error and did not charge us for the late dinner. That was appreciated. The fish was overcooked for 3 of our meals. the atmosphere is lovely.
Fresh seafood and strong drinks make me very happy.
If you sit outside the view is relaxing...you can people watch as you sip on your cocktail.
I will return next time I am in DC.
The place has taken a complete nose dive
Great place to bring fam, date or friends. Nice view, great ambiance, fresh seafood, unique flavors!
Sitting outside looking at the Potomac was great, our server was wonderful, only negative was that since I made a reservation thru Open Table for inside, & upon arrival decided to eat outside, & we told them we had a reservation, I received notification from Open Table that I did not keep my reservation. That should be fixed
Great food and location. Service was a little over-enthusiastic. Felt like we were rushed, with our mains brought whilst we were still eating starters.
Great experience! Great nugget with lots of options, but more importantly the water views, ambiance, and band were excellent! My new Sunday brunch spot in DC 👌🏾
Fabulous food, the crab omelette was marvelous and the chocolate strawberries were decadent
The service and food was great. However, there could have been more of a variety in the food choice
Average food and subpar service
Our waiter got our order wrong. Maybe because he was just nodding his head while we were telling him what we wanted. That caused one of our dishes to be brought later, and also after we asked twice about it. The food was good though and our table was fantastic. We got as close to the water without being actually outside which was great because it was 100 degrees outside.
Good was exceptionally well prepared and presented. Service was awesome. Teamwork makes the dream work. Great location on the water. Management was extremely attentive
Found this place by chance. Food was excellent and location had great views. The service was sub-par.
My wife and I both had seafood. She had arctic char and I had blackened red snapper. Both were good but the blackened snapper was a little light on seasoning. Otherwise everything else about the meal was wonderful. Try the toasted belgian waffle for dessert. Our server was Amber and I would readily ask for her again.
It was my boyfriend's birthday brunch and he had a great time and enjoyed the food. He even got to meet one of the owners, Tony! For myself I didn't enjoy the food as much as I thought I would but I would definitely give it another try.
The quality of food does not match the pricing. Our waiter was horrible, he would disappear and not return. We had the Surf N Turf, they ran out of snap peas and carrots so they replaced those items with french fries ( this dish is served with potatoes). We had to return a dish because it was not what was described on the menu. I have been to Tony & Joe's in the past so it was very disappointing.
The waterfront location was the best thing about the experience and we were seated near the windows. Very noisy dining area that made conversation challenging. Our server was nice but not focused on our menu questions or on remembering our orders. Eventually, we got what we ordered. The food was okay. Not enticed to return any time soon.
Some of the best seafood around! Most enjoyable atmosphere!
I loved everything about it. It was amazing will be back very soon
Great view of the water and good food! Being next to the river, any boat can pull up. In our case it was a bit distracting with the boats music competing with the restaurant’s. I would go back. Great place for night out with friends or date night.
Very nice ambiance but a bit tourist like.. Which is great if you're a tourist
Great location on the Potomac River in Georgetown/Washington Harbor. Dinner was at 6:00 pm on July Friday evening for 6 people. We were seated immediately at a wonderful table by a window so we had view of the activity along the riverfront. (We decided to eat inside due to heat/humidity.) Orders included lobster, steak, Arctic Char, oysters, and chicken strips off the children’s menu for 9 year old. Service was timely and not rushed but server appeared not to be focused on us - seemingly detached. Disappointed that server would not help with special drink order (desired a nonalcoholic cocktail) telling us it could not be provided. Also disappointed that server would not help with order of steamed broccoli for 9 year old (we asked if it could be cut up when served) telling us it was not possible. Food was very good. Very adequate wine list. Oysters were fresh and pre-separated from shells making them easy to eat. Bread rolls were served warm and tasted great. Entres were served according to our orders and each was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and the server provided a delicious desert lemon cake slice with a candle (gratis). Other desert of vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate syrup was also delicious (the ice cream served is incredible). Server did not rush us, yet had table items cleared for our convenience, and took care of check promptly. So we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, the view, and inside vs outside choice. (Also, restrooms were clean.) NOTE: We have been to this restaurant several times and to us, the menu is getting “old” so recommend it be updated from time to time.
Absolutely amazing food and amazing service. The setting was lovely too.
Bartenders were amazing and very friendly. Server was good, food was good also. Very hectic day (July 4th) to be in a restaurant both eating and working. Taking al into consideration, it’s a place I will defiantly go back to.
July 4! Great spot for viewing fireworks.
Nice bar. Very pleasant
Food is average
Location is excellent. Went there on 4th of July
After dinner had a great view of waterfront
Their gumbo soup is fabulous
Fresh and delicious Seafood, great selection and even better service. Definitely will be back!
In town for the 4th of July
Good experience. Nice comfortable table with a view of the river. Service was good. Some of the dishes tasted good, but the low score is because the crab cake was very full of shells. Definitely below par for the nice restaurant, location, and atmosphere.
We reserved through open table and we were asked 3 times by different people if our service dog was a "service dog"! A manager even came and just purely asked "what service does she perform?" In a very judgmental way and then rolled his eyes after I told him that she helps notify me when I need my medication.
You know, not all disabilities are “apparent” if you wanted to be judgmental like diabetes, seizures, multiple sclerosis at times, debilitating migraines, and the list goes on.
We sat at the table without menus then then the waitress asks if we "wanted menus". At that point we had had enough and left. I have never experienced such difficulty going to a restaurant before and we felt very uncomfortable and not wanted to be there so we left!
The food was very mediocre and expensive for brunch at $45 per person. The noise level was unreal. I could not hear my daughter, so we sat in silence most of the meal. I would not go back - ever.
