Toni Bulloni is a colorful trattoria that serves authentic Italian classics including pizza and foil-wrapped fish. The dining area is cozy, casual and simple, providing a nice place to stop and relax for lunch or dinner while you’re out enjoying the city. Toni Bulloni is known for its thin crust pizzas, salads, coffees and traditional Italian entrees.
Order a glass of wine and enjoy some complimentary fresh baked bruschetta while you wait for your meal. Start off with the popular caprese salad or salmon cakes. Share a four cheese thin crust pizza with a friend or two, or try an entrée like the lamb shank with mashed potatoes or shrimp linguine. Finish your meal at Toni Bulloni with a sweet dessert like tiramisu, panna cotta or chocolate mousse bomb cake.
Great restaurant. Great food. Party of 2 during Winterlicious - more than enough bang for your buck! Dined late (9pm) and we were the only ones left by 10pm. Service was quick, friendly, and just right. Not bothersome at all.
It was a great experience! Totally worth it and the food and drinks were all delicious. If you love Italian and small restaurants check them out. We had a 12pm Sunday reso for 4ppl. It was quiet at first because there was only us.
I really enjoyed the quality of food at this establishment, from the bruschetta to the dessert. I've been to many many winterlicious / summerlicious places over the years and this is one of my favorites thus far. As there were 3 people in my party for lunch, we all chose different items from the menu and all had a taste of each other's plates. I very much enjoyed my appetizer which was the caprese salad, and tasting the penne and linguine that my cousin's had order was also great, all three desserts were especially delicious. I will definitely be returning to this establishment in the future.
Good service; funny waiter; good food for Winterlicious and I shall go back again.
Intimate setting and great service
Toni Bulloni is a little gem nestled in the middle of Yorkville. The quality of the food and the very friendly service were top notch. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. You definitely get value for your money.
Seriously amazing food and outstanding service! Our group shared the spinach salad, bruschetta, pasta primavera and the special of the day, lasagne. The salad and bruschetta were a meal by themselves, and we thought we'd never make it through the lasagne -- but it was so good we finished every bite! And we were surprised and delighted when a delicious tiramisu arrived, compliments of the house. Siva treated us like family, and we can't wait to visit again the next time we're in Toronto!
My 1st time there and just got back from spending 2 weeks in Italy eating at various Italian restaurants from North to South and Toni Bulloni took me by surprise. Being of Italian heritage, I found the food to be Authentic savoury gourmet casarecce style. Service was great, accommodating staff and small changes to the menu was no issue at all.
Would definitely recommend it for a great dining experience.
Buon appetito.
It was a nice evening having dinner with friends, good food.
Staff is very attentive. Food is delicious, especially the Tiramisu. Service is great, very prompt. Lovely atmosphere.
Absolutely loved the food and service. Great spot for a meeting. Well done!
We picked this restaurant for a change as part of the Summer licious program and made a reservation for a Friday evening. When we arrived, our table was ready but upon being seated no one came to welcome us or take our drink orders or even notice us for quite some time. The restaurant wasn't even busy. There were a number of empty tables around us.
We placed our orders and mine came back wrong - had asked for Lamb Shank and was served some sort of seafood pasta. However it was rectified in minutes, but the mashed potatoes were supposed to be garlic mashed potatoes and there didn't seem to be a drop of garlic.
Overall it was just okay... the service was lacking and the food was fine, but nothing stood out about the experience that would make me want to return.
Great food, experience and price. Highly recommended
Every two months our group of five go out for dinner. It was Summerlicious, lovely weather and this restaurant was happening in Yorkville...entertainment value. Happily it wasn't crowded or noisy and my dish of salmon was quite good. My friends were happy with their pasta choices. Service was friendly and efficient. Would I go back! If I was in the area I would consider it . We all loved that it wasn't reeking of hipsters or little kids and we could actually hear ourselves talk!
This was my first time at Toni Bulloni and I was really looking forward to eatin here. The food was only just okay. I had the mushroom sausage salad to start and it was so very salty. The main of lamb shank was all right but didn't really taste like lamb. The dessert had little flavour. I was really disappointed.
A nice cozy place in yorkville, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Were there for the summerlicious menu, the food was pretty good but in smaller portions. Overall a pretty good experience.
Was here for a Summerlicious lunch. Service was great, food portions were perfect, tasty stuff. Mmmmmmm that panna cotta!
Thee service was sow, inattentive, cold. The same characteristics were shared by the food.
A relaxed and casual place with reasonably priced food.
We went for winterlicious, and lets just say I wouldn't pay full price for the meal. Staff was polite, but quality of food was mediocre at its best. When I was served my main course the piece of lettuce on the side was dead and soggy. My friend had the pasta primavera, it didn't feel too fresh.
It's not a bad place but I would not plan to go back or pay full price.
We were a party of 10...everyone had an amazing time! The food was delicious! I had the lamb shank, with mashed potatoes -- delicious! Others had the shrimp linguine, and veal Parmesan..and loved it. They gave us 2 cakes with candles for the people celebrating, and a round of shots. The staff was super friendly and funny. Would go back again!
Vibrant little restaurant in the heart of Yorkville. Everyone there was having fun, and the food was amazing. Would definitely go back there again!
I went there on a Friday night with a friend who recently moved from NYC. The Cozy ambiance of the place reminded her of many a NYC Italian joints. It is a good place to start your casual night out with, you can move post dinner to several of the bars/lounges near by. Not the best of Italian food i had, but i will still go there as it was decent enough. The service was top notch and portions are quite large. Owner/chef was very friendly and was willing to make dishes off the menu. Will definitely go back and recommend to all my friends.
Toni Bulloni's is a great spot to relax and enjoy friendly service, excellent food and reasonable wine prices. We started by sharing several appetizers including antipasti, shrimp and a tasty pizza. For mains we had enjoyed pasta's, meat and I had seafood steamed in foil that was truly deelish. The service was attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The portions were generous. The jazz duet that came on at about 9pm added a vibrant energy to the already relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Especially considering the neighbourhood, the prices are quite reasonable.
We celebrated our anniversary at this location and it was absolutely amazing. It was a last minute fan as I read many bad reviews at the original restaurant that we were to dine. The food (lamb and risotto meals) were absolutely divine! The prices were exactly as they should have been. The jazz duo were entertaining and soothing all at the same time. Highly recommended!
Overall food and service are good and the price is reasonable. The only complaint I have is that my pasta has too much oil (I hope it was olice oil). When I finished my pasta, there is about two tablespoon of oil left on the plate. My girlfriend's plate has no oil left on it. Therefore I will have to say that it is inconsistent.
Friendly, attentive service. Great pizza! Seafood linguine okay. Good selection of wines by the glass - a bit pricey. Excellent cappuccino.
Toni Bulloni's has always been a favourite of mine. I was not disappointed and my guests enjoyed their lunch.
Thank you.
Enjoyed Sunday evening Jazz with Christopher Plock and Stevie Gee. Awesome jazz. Owner made us feel right at home and we will return.
This is a local unpretentious but terrific spot for freshly made delicious Italian food at a most reasonable price nested in the heart of Yorkville.
The service is friendly & accommodating. A great find.
While visiting Toronto, we decided to try the restaurant. It was worth the trip. Service and food was quite good. Our appetizers and dinners were excellent! Good for Sunday meals.
The Summerlicious menu was very generous, more than most, but the quality of the food varied. Main course of salmon had no taste, and the dessert too sweet. The house wine is mediocre, and the mixed drinks don't seem to contain much alcohol. It's possible the pasta is better. $2.95 for an undrinkable, single shot decaf Americano topped it off! Overall, a disappointing experience.
The food here is incredible! It's quite a small restaurant that is often over crowded but the food makes up for it. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was very casual.
I picked it in a hurry as my friend and I decided that afternoon that we would eat somewhere in or near Yorkville.
I was leaning towards an Italian and this was one of a few that showed up in my search.
since I only had a few minutes to make a decision, I chose it, thinking that it would not be too bad, given its location.
The rack of lamb was too dry.
the pasta was overcooked - more like a diner's style of cooking.
dessert was good.
Bad service, unattentive, overpriced, over salted. Tasted like food was heated up in a microwave,
My sisters eggplant Parmesan was rubbery. Not intending to return
I enjoyed my Summerlicious meal at Toni's. The staff are great and I will definately be a return customer.
I have been to many of restaurants in my time, but i have never experience anything like i did at Toni's. I'm not one to pick on the small pesky things but these were just too much. we we asked what do you want to drink, i than asked what do you have? hoping for a menu... she responded anything you want... not impressed. So she blurped out sangria so i agreed to it. Sangria arrived appearance was ok, took a sip something off.. then i saw that there was watermelon in the glass so i tried to retrieve it only to note that it was slimy as in old. Dinner was a bust, i order eggplant parm and i got skins parm. awful! had the waitress take it back and bring me a pizza that took forever to arrive. All in all the worst dinner experience I had.
We were seated downstairs, where there were only 4 tables. We were the only people seated down there for the duration of our meal (another table was brought down but they opted to leave since they couldn't get a seat upstairs). I didn't mind it as it was quiet and we were able to talk and hear, since the upstairs was loud. it did feel a little like "Grandma's basement". The food was not spectacular. I didn't enjoy the app or main too much, but the tiramisu was fantastic (and i usually don't like tiramisu). I had the mixto platter & the veal parmesan with spaghetti. Both were 2.5/5 for me. My friend's had the salmon & the pizza, with spinach salad, & they both looked pretty good (we were there for summerlicious). The service was good.
My husband Norm and I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful restaurant - food, ambiance and friendly service. We certainly will recommend to our friends and will definitely come back again and again.....
We had a lovely meal. The service was excellent and the food was Devine. The potions were great. I only wish I could have taken a doggie bag for my leftovers. However we were at a hotel and no way to store it. We will go back if we are in the neighborhood again.
