Had a great time. Took a long time to get food but service was great and the food was delicious.
The restaurant is in a good area, easy to find, and has good hours. The food was honestly way too expensive for what it really is. I probably wouldn't dine here again but it was a good one time experience.
It was average. We requested guidance on what was gluten free and were told the menu will show a “GF” next to the gluten free foods. Nothing in the menu had “GF” next to it.
We went for the Restaraunt Week menu and invited friends to join us. We were told by the waitress that there was a glitch in the system and it couldn't be offered. However, after talking to the manager, we were able to enjoy the menu as planned. The food was good as was the service.
First time to have dinner there and we really enjoyed ourselves. We really enjoyed the chicken potstickers as an appetizer, the tacos were excellent and their version of a Cuban Sandwich was very good(yes I am a traditionalist). The rosemary fries and the sweet potato fries were great. Service was excellent!
It was far too loud. Our group could not hear each other.
Great food and service. Recommend to anyone.
Great place to go downtown.
Wonton & pickle apps barely average. Burgers good. Lobster sandwich was a complete disappointment for $24.50. Rips and tears in booths, really warn down. Previous two visits over the past year or so were good, this visit gives no reason to return.
We (6 of us) went here for dinner after doing our first escape room. I chose Tom's Urban because it was only a couple blocks away. We had a great time. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush and were enjoying ourselves. Our food was great. We shared fried pickles - I got the shrimp po'boy sliders. You can't really go wrong there, but my friend got the "figgy piggy" - a sort of grown up grilled cheese with bacon and fig jam...I will get that if we go back - it was amazing! They have a decent beer selection as well as a "concoctions" menu for those non-beer drinkers out there.
Took out of town friends and they loved it. The food and large menu accommodated everyone's taste. Booth seating made it great to be able to share dishes.
Quite disappointed the other night. EXTREMELY noisy with way-too-loud music. Service was adequate, but the food fell down. Spicy Edamame app was okay. Not great. My prime rib sliders were okay but dry. Wife's fig/jelly/whatever sandwich was meh. Brussel sprouts side was meh. We've eaten at the Las Vegas branch more than once (which is why we came to the Denver branch), and it was way better than Denver. Don't get your hopes up.
Read reviews that the food is below average but it’s such a great location and menu that we thought we would try it. Unfortunately we agree with the poor reviews. The duck wings were OK but very little meat on them. The pizza was soggy, salads boring and low-quality, and beef very tough. Service was good as well as location and Ambiance but food is surprisingly poor.
Great service, great food, great location. We had a wonderful dinner with friends, then walked over to the CO Avalanche game. Perfect location to eat before the games.
Received fries instead of the tater tots I ordered, but they quickly brought the tots out and told me to keep the fries.
Of the 6 dishes we ordered one was good. The steak chimichurra was inedible. The table wasn't ready when we arrived and the service was dismal. Such a great location, but the restaurant seems run down and not very clean.
Relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. Family friendly. Food was great, but our drinks were very weak.
Perfect option for going to comedy show. Great slider options.
Very loud. The food was tasty but a bit pricey. It was more of a sports bar environment than I expected.
good place; centrally located Larimer square downtown Denver. hip joint. creative food. decent prices. great jump off point for comedy works or dcpa shows or anything downtown.
It is always good, nice service, an extensive menu and predictable! Just a fun place to come on a weekend on Larimer Square.
Super time at Tom's Urban. 5 of us were sat immediately even though we were late due to delay in getting out of a concert. All items ordered by our party were rated outstanding.
Excellent meal and service. Only problem was my sons burger (ordered medium rare was well done). He still enjoyed it and ate it up. Brussel Sprouts were amazing!!
Good food, great service but, due to the location, a tad overpriced. I’ll still go back, I’m sure!
Our service was horrible and disappointing. We had 6:15pm dinner reservations, arrived 10 minutes early and didn't receive our dinner items until 7:10pm. our waiter was constantly distracted, barely cleared our appetizer dishes and rung up our checks incorrectly. The Fig, 3 Cheese and Bacon sandwich sadly was too sweet. The Philly Cheeseteak and the Pulled sport sandwiches were good though, as were the lemon rosemary tator tots.
I found the meal very mediocre. That's being nice. My margarita was the worst I've ever encountered (and there is no excuse for that) Noise from the music was pretty unbearable especially if you sit in balcony. I set my expectations pretty low, since these are the Smashburger folks... so I was not surprised. Server seemed nice. I'd avoid this place unless you are in your 20's and this is what you expect from a restaurant on Larimer.
The location is great and since we go to Comedy Works on a routine basis I see this place being a routine pre-comedy show location for us. The staff was very attentive and the food was amazing! The salad was huge, the cheesesteak was wonderful, and the tacos were delicious. The only thing I will say is it was extremely loud and trying to talk over dinner left us all a bit hoarse.
12 of us were attending the Mile High Tedx at The Bellco Theatre and this was a nice lunch break for us. A little walk to Larimer felt good after sitting. Service was excellent.
It was delicious! Had the Crispy Chicken and Cornbread Pancake ... it was amazing! Also tried the Hangover Slopper and Mini Mac & Cheese Pot ... 🙌🏼!
Great menu! Something for everyone and super high quality at very good prices.
We went to Tom's to meet some friends to watch the Bronco game. Service was excellent, food was great, too bad we lost the game. The only complaint I had was that they wouldn't put the game on their 4 screen set-up, the server said they "could not" put it on there. But it didn't ruin the experience.
We had a really wonderful time at Tom's before our show at Comedy Works. The food is just so delicious. We'll all be back~!
We have been to Tom’s Urban a few time before or after catching a show at the DCPA and have always been very pleased. This time not so much. We went for the frog legs, as in went specifically so I could get the frog legs..It has been years since I have had good frog legs. We ordered and everything was fine. The frog legs though were really not good. Not bad enough to send back or anything, just not good. Really over cooked and dry with very little flavor. I ate less than half and was done.
When we got our check I noticed it said “chicken” instead of “frog legs”. I asked about it and the waitress apologized noting I had ordered the frog legs and she accidentally put in for chicken. Me: Ya, I thought something seemed off which is why I didn’t eat much, but I just thought it was really bad frogs legs”. Our waitress basically just said I should have said something and left it at that. Have to admit it was rather a put off. I ended up paying $16 or so for over fried chicken I didn’t order. I would have thought she would have made up for it by offering to at least comp one of the appetizers or something.
On the other hand my husband’s burger was great and the Brussels sprout appetizer was amazing. The rest of it left me feeling kind of like I got screwed though.
My wife and I had stayed downtown for our anniversary and were just looking to chill out on a Sunday morning. Tom's Urban was the perfect spot and I got the Spicy Chicken and Cornbread Pancakes. They were phenomenal and hit the spot. If anything I was more full than I wanted to be but we were going to walk around that morning so I had more than enough fuel to start the day :).
Wow, what happened to this place for breakfast? No one was there! Perhaps the ripped /worn-out upholstery and feeling that we're not really a breakfast place is the problem!
Service was horrid, restaurant was dirty & food was OK.
My second visit here and it was a marginal experience. Service was ok. However, the food was cold and sort of bland. Nothing really special at all about the visit. Especially for the price.
We waited for about 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back to seat us. Lots of tables still had dishes on them with no patrons. Once we were seated, the service improved. Food was delicious. They really need to clean the place it looked dingy.
The food was very good with vary large portions. The atmosphere is very cool. It's like an upscale sports bar. I tried a mojito that was on their happy hour menu. Unfortunately it was the worst mojita I have ever tried. All you could taste was the seltzer water, nothing else. The service was a little slow. All in all I would recommend trying this restaurant.
Beware there are screens everywhere in this place. We went for a family dinner before a show and couldn't talk to our kids because they we entranced with the screens. Bummer.
Great service! We fell in love with the nitro coffee!
